Well let’s get right down to it!

The design translation alone is nothing short of spectacular! We all know by now that BlackStar has had no trouble in making the most screen accurate bat-figs out there and these two are both no exception!

They absolutely nailed that Bruce Timm look of subtlety with things like that little bit of blue on Batman’s hips, and the wrinkles on Robin’s gloves and sleeves! Unfortunately (and this may just be another case of “Andrew got the one bad one of the lot”) but the quality, particularly legs and hips and belt print on Robin isn’t nearly as strong as it is on Bats.

Also interestingly enough, there’s some text over Batman’s forehead of BlackStar’s logo on one side, and “1st Anniversary” on the other (which is a worthy accomplishment on their part), so it’s fun to see that kind of stuff included and tucked away like that :)

But yeah. Not the worst quality I’ve seen with BlackStar figs all in all, but they’re not the top of the line when it comes to print execution this time around.
