Abnormal's "The Batman" 5pk Review - Catwoman! (Patreon)

Alright! So the second fig I opened was Catwoman!

I was pretty disappointed to find that my Batman fig’s cape was packed too tightly in the tin, resulting in a section of the collar to be snapped off. I was pretty peeved about it too since like, ya know… this five pack cost nearly a full paycheck

Needless to say I shot Abnormal a line and hope to get a replacement soon...

Speaking of custom parts, these two elements for for Catwoman are solid... one more so than the other. I really like the hair and all it’s layering! But her mask/beanie had some gunk over the top of the element that looked like factory residue or something… (perhaps the source of the smell and the disappointing quality control from Abnormal?)

It was still designed quite well but it’s the little things dude! If you’re gonna be printing details on the figs tinier than this gunk, clean off the gunk! (seems like common sense to me)

Eventually I got the gunk off, but it didn’t end there!

It was hella tight, and I couldn’t get it on the custom printed head the fig came with. I sorta got it on a different head eventually, but it never quite snapped down properly… then finally on a third head, I got it on a little farther then it got stuck and I couldn’t even get it back off… so that’s irritating… :/

Ugh…

Catwoman herself is really well printed like Riddler, and the four different shades of grey print with the silver accents look clean and crisp! The facial design is a little off, but not terrible. I don’t mind it, but I could see some folks that are more Lego-Purist getting upset over it.

Other than that, she also came with no other accessories. No whip, no gems, no bags of stolen money, no claws or anything so… *shrug*

Which means that so far I’ve gotten a big smelly package with some broken parts, some glued parts, some parts stuck on other parts… and we’re only on the second fig…

Tomorrow better be an improvement!
