Unknown Brand Kingdom Come Superman Review! (Patreon)

So here’s a fun one!

This fig popped up on Tracy Minifigs secondhand page a few months back with no info about it whatsoever! While I could take a guess, I’ve got a feeling this might be one of those Apple Minifigs/MrJ Bricks/MrTreeBrick “unreleased online” crossover figs from last year (2021)

It’s like a guttural feeling… like a “I think I’ve seen this fig pop up in a random collector’s super-group photo” sort of feeling. But I’ve never seen it listed anywhere officially. Now since none of those brands have any socials… the world may never know!

It’s a solid fig with a solid print application, and it came with cool hair! The hair itself is a little scrappy looking on the inside, but it’s a clean print on the outside and I think (between you and me) it’s gonna find a new permanent home with my Ditko Dr Strange!

Now I know with just my camera, I can’t even begin to come close to reaching a style that matches the incredible Alex Ross’s, but here are my three figs that reach the closest to matching his original art style! On the left we have TheBrothersFigure WW84 fig, and on the right we’ve got the BlackStar Kingdom Come Batman.

Of course, this lead me down a rabbit hole of messing around with that mystery superman torso… It honestly works better as a CW Brendon Routh Superman than a genuine Alex Ross KC Supes. The regular Lego blue is too bright for me personally, but looks perfect if you swap the head/hair and pretend it was intentional :)

Same thing goes with that head! It’s very menacing and works much better with a fig like my custom Ultraman here by MaxFigs (I think?)

Honestly, this fig stumps me! It’s a pretty decent pad printed Superman variant that popped up, and I have no idea who made it! Not enough customizers make Superman figs so naturally I had to pick it up!

Good job to the designer whoever they may be, because it’s wonderful and I hope they make more Supermen in the future! Especially when there’s no preorder and it only cost me $50!
