Wow! Just… wow wow wow!

This is a designer match-up made in heaven! MrJ and Jin working together?! What an incredible team up for an incredible fig! Just look at what they accomplished together! Especially after taking a look at L1N6’s fig yesterday… night and day I tell ya!

This fig has so much more going for it! For one thing, it’s much more comic accurate with details like the longer mane of fur down the back of the torso, the additional claws and gauntlets, and of course that fantastic headpiece!

Not to mention that the print is much more in tune with the  classic “Official Lego” look and feel! No doubt MrJ’s influence shining through!

Right out of the clamshell, I was relieved that this fig was mostly orange plastic with brown prints over the top, rather than the other way around with L1N6’s fig. The only downside to that is a little bit of orange at the top of the torso that you can see when the fig leans forward, but other than that, it was clearly the smarter choice!

The design of this fig (I know I keep coming back to it) is just perfect though! It looks so much like Lego and fits well with other Wolverine figs! It’s amazing! The more I stare at it, the more I see the MrJ design influences that really sell it. Not only as a good fit for most collections, but Jin’s production raises it to the level of a premium fig!

Jin’s print quality and custom parts also shine through as fantastic additions! The claw “gloves” are a Jin original concept that pair well with the simple chunky gauntlets! The tan fuzzy collar is great! (still a bit feather-like though) But thank god it’s a different color from the hair!

For comparison's sake, here it is on Karven (the only other famously fuzzy collared Marvel character). You can see it doesn't quite fit well with official hair pieces...

But these custom parts are fantastic, and the attention to detail is just blowing me away!

That headpiece! Oh my gosh it’s good! It gives the head a bit of thickness, and adds to the brute-like nature of Sabertooth’s character! The choice to use bright light yellow for the hair is perfect!

Gah!!

But hold on... let's knock it down a peg here! I's worth my time to mention that with those mutton chops of his, it doesn't fit with the official Lego fur collar piece 🤷🏻‍♂️

But the price! It was only $85! About seven more dollars compared to L1N6’s fig, and a world of difference! It's genuinely fantastic! I really hope to see some more MrJ/Jin collaborations in the future! 🤞🏻
