Dear Patreons ! Thank you for your patience. I made a 2.4GB zip file for you. It contains a resolume composition and video loops. I packed it under this path C:\tutorial02\ if you unpack it to a differernt location you will need to relocate files. simply click on a clip/relocate. save and then relocate first file in the list and then choose "Fix all" done.Download the ziphttps://www.patreon.com/posts/tas-pack-comp-100649334A little TAS playground. The composition illustrates how I organise my clips, layers, effects, master effects and masks. It is a multi layer setup perfect for layering elements to create complex scenes. I had to reduce the resolution/quality of a few clips so the zip doesn't get too big. I might explain a bit more here but please ask questions !check composition dashboard. I mapped a few master effects. usually I map these to my korg nanokontrol2.also play with master speed. map it to your midi controller (value 1-10) so it does get slower than normal speed. It works great with my clips. I use this a lot !check clips effects too. I am using additional transform effect a lot for scaling for example set to bounce and sine envelope. As you might know I am using a the effect edge detection an lot. it is part of my signature and Visuals are crafted in a way that works nicely with the effect. you can deactivate this effect in the composition tab. there is also a keystone effect which basically just removes the alpha before edge detection which is important.I will also go for these topics in the future:- prepare and setup stage mapping- organize resolume comp with stage mapping content- how I setup my midi controler and master effects- my favourite and essential resolume effects + juicebar effects- best way to record resolume output- Resolume and Ableton live connection via MIDI- Resolume OSC control + VVVV

Super excited! Thank you for sharing! 😊😊

Thank you very appreciated, did't opened yet but one question for now, which resolution for clips you usually using?

TAS Visuals

I am rendering my clips now mostly at 2560x1440 for square content 1280x1280. festivals widescreen mapping content is around 3500x1080. rendering all in 4k for me is not optimal because I want to layer more clips and I have better performance. all DXV High quality. alpha only if necessary. no alpha better performace.

Can’t wait for the other tutorials! What are the clips made in? There is a beautiful sense of depth/3D to them with the colours rotating around the forms and having a nice illustrative/stylized look but clearly some 3d stuff going on

TAS Visuals

clips are made with 3ds Max. yes there is a certain level of detail to the 3d and textures to keep it clean and styalized.

What system and graphics performance do you use? I currently have a gtx1070. With multiple layers of 4k content it becomes problematic

TAS Visuals

I used to play with a 1080ti. I am working now on a MSI Raider GE77 HX 12UGS with a RTX3070Ti . I highly recommend to upgrade to a RTX 30xx or RTX 40xx series.

Fantastic work as always, truly invaluable learning material! How have you configured loopMIDI for communicating between Resolume and Ableton to launch clips? I have gotten SMPTE to sync, but cannot trigger clips from arrangement view in Ableton

TAS Visuals

hey. I am going to make a tutorial on this in th next days. to launch clips you have to map midi notes from a ableton clip

Hey thank you! It's really nice to get some input how those clips work to each other. And the workaround w the masks is really useful, thanks for the delicious food for thought. (:
