If you missed the drop yesterday, the latest full-length episode of The Purple Stuff Podcast is here. Yeah, it's pretty late, but if it helps make up for the delay, this is one of our longest episodes in years.

We’re heading back to the ‘80s to name eight of that decade’s best and weirdest MONSTERS!

Join us as we spend ninety minutes gushing about Eight Great ‘80s Monsters, from all walks of pop culture. Movies, TV shows, cartoons, toys – everything is fair game, so long as it’s a monster and from the ‘80s!

We had a blast with this one, which is probably why the episode ended up being so much longer than usual. Whether you’re into furry kaiju or airplane gremlins, there’s something in here for you!

The new episode should be on your regular feeds now, but if you want the quick links, here it is on Apple, or Spotify, or if you prefer, here's a direct link to the MP3.

If you’d like to learn more about the monsters covered in the new episode, follow the links below!

1) Karg from Masters of the Universe!2) The Creature from Cellar Dweller!3) The Phantom from Amazing Stories!4) The Casserole Demon from Elvira!5) The Gorax from The Ewok Adventure!6) Tongue-A-Saurus from ThunderCats!7) Bloodstone from Rocks & Bugs & Things!8) The Gremlin from Twilight Zone: The Movie!

Thanks so much for your support! Up next for us is another Patreon-exclusive bonus show, and then it's right back in the trenches for another big show. In the meantime, enjoy our tribute to a buncha freaks!

While I've always been a Saurod / Blade man myself, I very much can appreciate a Karg fan. But my favorite character from that film is the bucket of ribs that Gwildor eats. All I want is a bucket of ribs like that, just once.

Not sure how I've never seen Cellar Dwellar? Added to my list

I didn't know who any of these guys were (I was the kind of kid who was scared of IRL stuff) so this was a lesson. I know about the twilight zone bit from Simpsons though, when the gremlin was teasing Bart on the bus.

Heather Drain

I cannot stop looking at pics of Karg.

Also, another great episode! 🤘🏻

Karg sounds like the gatekeeper from Nightmare. I half expected him to say "ROLL THE DICE!"

Daniel Budnik

If I may, I'd like to throw in... The Neon Maniacs. All of them.

Monsters make me feel warm and fuzzy inside and I think it's because in a way we're all a kind of monster. And that's okay!
