Well guys, as of this show, we're officially kicking off our 2025 Halloween season! From now through October 31st, we're all spooky, all the time!

...and what better way to ease you into monsters and mayhem than with one of our comfy eBay dives? This time, we searched eBay for the best (and weirdest) Halloween and horror junk from the year 1986!

We've already done Halloween dives for 1987, 1988 and 1989, so this seemed like a natural progression. Join us for a discussion about everything from Pumpkin Lights to terribly obscure Vincent Price movies! If you'd like to see the actual auctions, follow the links below! (If you're checking this show in the distant future, the links will be dead... but what could be more Halloweeny than that?)

1) Paas Halloween Makeup Kits!2) Hasbro Slime Time Watch!3) Doorways to Horror VCR Game!4) The Creepy Kids Figure Collection!5) The Pumpkin Light!6) Vincent Price's "Escapes" on VHS!

We hope you enjoy this extra-long bonus ep, and we'll be back soon with our next big show! (We're almost back on schedule with those, though this one probably won't be out until a few days into August. We're working on it!)

Thanks as always for your support! Good luck hunting Count Chocula in the 100 degree heat.

Just listened to the 1988 episode yesterday and it’s getting me so ready for the season. Thanks guys! PS I love it when you tell us in advance when a show is gonna be a little late!

I CAN NOT WAIT to listen to this!! Too late for tonight, but oh BOY is it my first stop tomorrow after work!! I haven't commented in a LONG TIME, but two recent events have made me more ready for this SEASON than any I can remember... (Prelude) - It's been a... very tough year. OK - #1 - Last week, I was in Columbus, OH visiting Family, and I saw a SPIRIT 'Coming Soon' banner on a storefront - in JULY!!! (YESSSSS!!). Additionally, as you all know by now, this 'Summerween' shill has taken off, and I DON'T CARE. BRING IT!!!! So, Michael's has already put a dent or two in the ol' bill-fold... But now, Officially #2, THIS PODCAST!!!!! Happy Early HAPPY TIME, Everyone!!!!! :)

A fantastic show! If you want to know if you brought something up before, you should drop me a message. This show is one of my autistic fixations, so I listen to it a lot.

It's a lil early for me, but I'll listen to it. Summer Saturdays, I miss her </3 We didn't know the power of setting powder and setting spray for costume make up back in the day. Did you know that DrugFair was owned by Sherwin Williams, the paint people? The 80s was wild for ownership.

Happy Halloween, everyone. 🎃🫟🖤🖤 I can even feel the crisp air (even if it’s of the ‘burnt to a’ variety)!

All these years thinking Popeye was pronounced pop-eye. Now I learn it is pup-eye. Mind blown.

This episode was so perfect…it’s all the little things deep in my memories that really keep Halloween of my childhood alive…the pumpkin lights and the paas make up kits…thank you for taking me back. It’s like I’m walking through Ames again…I can smell the candy corn and plastic smocks.

Escapes! One of my all time favorite anthologies no one talks about, and I absolutely know why haha. Thank you for bringing this to life again, it’s not great but deserves to be celebrated.
