Hey lovelies!
Apologies for my patreon silence! I stupidly locked myself out of my own account and couldn't get in for a week. But hey, GUESS WHO's back, back again! (spoiler: it's me).
I recently got some snaps taken for the first time in AGGGGESSSS, one pictured here - it was a wonderfully fun & vain experience for all involved. An awesome dude called Rudy who I've been chatting to online for years now was in London for a while and got in touch about doing some photos together. He made me feel so relaxed the whole time, which is sometimes tricky for a clumsy, awkward ginge attempting to pose in public. We walked around southbank and Waterloo looking for spots and stopped every time a certain background or lighting took our fancy. I'm still waiting for most of the snaps back but hopefully one or two might be good as press shots, gig poster pics, all that fun stuff!
If you missed my post on twitter/Facebook etc last week I filled the ~rest of the world~ in on the fact that I think I've found my ideal collaborator/producer (!!) and generally let everyone know that after a LOT of silence MUSIC IS HAPPENING. You guys have known this for a while now; although it was a simple & vague update it felt great to just shout out that stuff is happening again. I've been with the two producer lads Sean & Ben 2/3 days a week for the past month and it's been great fun, they're both older dudes so sometimes it's like hanging out with 2 versions of my dad (in a good way lol). So far we've written one new one together and also recorded a new version of 'isn't fun any more/inevitable' which is your demo from last month! (Scroll back if you've not heard it yet!). It's been so cool to work on something so fresh and new to me, rather than a lot of the older songs we're due to re-record over the next while. I'm so excited to play that one live.. it'll be cool & bizarre having a song on piano rather than guitar! I'd like to think I'm step closer to morphing into a full on Regina Spektor tribute act.
