hey SDC. as you know from the snippet I posted the other day, I've been working on a song called 'back to sleep' - it's super stripped and atmospheric & I'm currently thinking I'd love to add some foley/subtle sound effects in the background of the song.. so I have a question for you. what sounds do you think of when you think of SLEEP? it can be anything at all - it's all helpful!

Thunderstorms, pouring rain, my cat snoring, frogs ribbit, birds, a car driving past every once in a while, and internal dialogue in my head that drowns out the clock ticking.

Woodpigeons coo-ing and Robins singing, Robins sing at night and they sing all winter too. Distant trains rattling along and sirens - things that get drowned out with all the other noises during the day.

Stuart Summers

Nightingale singing, gentle breeze in the trees

I think of being in middle of a forest and it's quit there, but still there are a few sounds every now and then and the sound of real silence is different then what we call silence in cities 😊 plus at the time of waking up it's sounds of other creatures who woke up a little bit earlier, hope this helps.

A slowing heart beat, calm breathing, cat purring, birds chirping, thunder,

the sounds my dog makes when he's dreaming (high pitched but very soft and adorable barking)... but also rain, crickets, wind sounds. Nature!
