Happy Marvel Monday!!It's time for more Daredevil!! Man, is this show getting intense! And so gruesome...

I also have a quick schedule update for you all. I need to take next week from 6/20-6/25 off as I will be traveling. This week you'll still get the usual 4 reaction vids from me and then, we'll get back to regularly scheduled programming on 6/28. Thank you for understanding!

"Please don't break any more arms today..." If that's how you feel Nat, don't watch The Punisher. You'll be spending most of your time looking away from the screen. With DareDevil, there's some of that, sure, but I think it's at least somewhat palatable for you. Glad you're enjoying the show so far. Safe travels for next week's trip!

I called Disney the day the previous reaction dropped and they said they’d fix the subtitle issue. It was because of how Netflix does it’s forced subs. It’s not the same as Disney so they fixed it. Glad it’s working now.

It's the writing in an episode like that one that make me REALLY worry about where Disney will take this show. Especially after the shit show that is Kenobi, the half-assed writing on some of the Marvel shows, and the cartoonish way they handled Fisk in Hawkeye. Fingers crossed and all that shtuff. I know alot of people hate Iron Fist but I really want her to watch all the shows including Iron Fist. If anything else just so she can see Claire's ( The Nurse's ) full story arc which develops over all the series.

Please don't start the "too much for her" BS here. It's a plague on another reactors site I'm on where they try to out white knight each other in an effort to protect the reactor from virtually every movie with any violence in it. Natalie's all grown up now and would get through the Punisher just fine.

While IF is definitely the worst of the Netflix shows it's not really as bad as many people make it out to be. In fact I think it would be a good series if they had made a better choice for the lead. The actor who plays Iron Fist (whos name escapes me and I'm not bothering to look it up) was just wrong for the role and completely unconvincing.

The issue I see is how long that would take. 161 episodes at two a week minus weeks off and the occasional technical issue. This time next year we still won't be finished

You're entitled to your opinion, but to say "most people out there" do, is being laughably hyperbolic. The RT score alone proves otherwise, never mind the countless buzz on social media and the numerous videos on YouTube discussing it's flaws. Look, when you have even lost people like Grace Randolph, who pretty much love everything, it's safe to say most people see it for the dumpster fire that it is. And rightfully so..... It breaks cannon multiple times, makes absolutely no sense logically, and even the production value looks like SyFy movie of the week. But again, you're entitled to your opinion......smh

I think it would be best to treat each Defendersverse show as its own separate show where continuity allows. So to begin with Daredevil 1 & 2, Defenders, & Daredevil 3. Then Jessica Jones 1-3, then if Nat wants to continue, Punisher 1 & 2 followed by Luke Cage 1 & 2 followed by Iron Fist 1 & 2. All you'd need to remember is that Defenders came after everyone's first season except Frank. That way we get 21 more weeks of Matt's story, then we can move on to 20 weeks of Jessica's, 13 of Frank's, 13 of Luke's, and 12 of Danny's. Rather than one incredibly long story it then becomes 5 consecutive but related stories where the next one doesn't have to depend on the previous one or vice versa.

This makes way more sense xD Watching defenders before seeing season 1 of the 4 main shows first would just be absolutely confusing...

@Ryan Harding But that's not "the thing". The Daredevil character from the TV show, which is now the one the VAST majority of the audience is familiar with, will not be received nearly as well if they tame the show. You can talk about "comic accuracy" until you're blue in the face, but again, the VAST majority of the viewing audience aren't comic book readers. If the tone of the show dramatically shifts, which I think it likely will, you're going to have a pretty large amount of your audience that's displeased. Especially if it's written as poorly as some of the product Disney has been cranking out lately. Case in point.... Fisk in Hawkeye.... Quite a few people noticed the difference, even in the brief time he was in the show, and weren't happy with it.

I agree with Jamie Jones - it would be inappropriate to jump into Defenders without at least season 1 of each show. That would be like going from watching Iron Man straight to The Avengers.
