Hey guys!I'm finally back and it's time for more Daredevil! Thanks for your patience while a took a little hiatus to spend some time with family and friends. So excited to wrap out the rest of this season.

Also, I noticed a lot of folks are concerned that I'm going to blast through the whole show. Some folks have mentioned that it's crucial to watch other things in between certain seasons. For this reason, I will do a poll after wrapping Season 1 of Daredevil to help decide how we proceed.

Any strange things you hear Stick talk about in this season or the next regarding the war and everything to do with that topic are answered in the Defenders. If you ever want to understand what Stick is talking about, or any of the many questions I can see you asking in season 2, it's all in the Defenders. Season 3 of Daredevil is very good, so hope you watch the Defenders so you can get to it. The only other information you can get before the Defenders about the Defenders is in Iron Fist season 1, but I doubt any poll would get you to watch it. Other reactors I've seen watch Defenders to get to Daredevil season 3 just watched the cliff notes of Iron Fist season 1 on Youtube by themselves before watching the Defenders.

Risk it for a biscuit is a phrase I've not heard for years! ha ha Exposition and training episodes can sometimes be a slow burn, but it helps when you get a good character actor like Scott Glenn on board. He's always interesting to watch. You might remember him as Jodie Foster's superior in Silence of the Lambs. Happy Marvel Monday! - Personally I'm hoping for a full watch of all the shows as there's just too much good stuff in Punisher, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones for you to miss out on while Iron Fist and Defenders lacks behind imo :D

I think Black Sky in this episode is merely a plot device used to flesh out Matt and Stick's relationship, that's why it's death is so lackluster.

It would be awesome to watch the other Marvel shows (Jessica Jones is amazing, esp the first season) but maybe we could watch something else on Tuesdays, so it's not just Marvel for 50% of the content? Tons of great shows out there for you to enjoy!

Hope your week off was great! As someone who did watch all the Marvel Netflix shows, and AoS, and enjoyed for the most part... all you really need to watch is Daredevil S1 &2, The Defenders, and then Daredevil S3. Hopefully the poll results reflect that as I think it would be the minority who want alllllll of it. Ultimately of course its your choice and I'm sure it will very entertaining whatever happens. Enjoy! :)

So as I said here before and as a die-hard Marvel Comics Fan and someone that has watched these shows multiple time ( so I really have no interest in watching again, but will just because I only want to see Nats reactions to the show) you really only have to watch DAREDEVIL S1&2 then Watch THE PUNISHER S1&2 (If you stomach can take it) and then DAREDEVIL S3 and you could end it there. Defenders is ok show it's a bit....errr but if you wanna watch this then you'll have to watch everything else and I wouldn't want my worst enemy the have to sit though IRON FIST it reported as MARVELS worst show for a reason I personally would rather re watch THE INHUMANS and that's should tell you a lot.

Definitely no real need/reason to watch the other Marvel Netflix shows unless they win a poll. There's just too much content in that corner of the universe and too much of it is bland or outright bad. Powering through Daredevil (and then maybe looping back around for Jessica Jones if you want more ground-level superhero action) is the way to go here.

The only problem with that approach is that The Defenders is a big thing that Matt does in between Seasons 2 and 3 that has a big impact on where the characters all are mentally and physically at the start of Season 3.

Personally I don't think Daredevil having won the poll should in any way mean a commitment to finishing all three seasons of it especially with it being a part of the Defenders Saga. Once patrons have decided which shows and what order to proceed with the Netflix Marvel shows I would just add the next show in any upcoming polls alongside a variety of different TV shows. The Netflix Marvel shows have a very good chance of winning any poll but I don't see the necessity to do them in one big block.

I honestly recommend Nat to just watch the other Netflix shows on her own time. Just come back to reacting future DD seasons and defenders whenever you are ready.

I know some seasons of the Netflix/Defenders shows are less popular than others, but there is beauty in their failings. They are a tapestry that may have been left unfinished when Netflix cancelled them but I think they often do a better job of showing the interconnected weave of the Marvel Universe than the films do. And frankly, I'd rather watch Iron Fist season one 10 times before I'd re-watch Eternals or Morbius. Also, we know Disney is bringing back Daredevil in a sequel/partial reboot show and it sounds like Jessica will be back eventually too. Who knows who's next. And it's not like anyone is asking Nat to read 60 years of comic books here, 13 seasons of 8-13 episodes is not much in the great scheme of things.

I think what would be best is to just go straight to season 2 then after season 2 you will need to at least read a summary on, if not watch, The Defenders. What I did was watch defenders in between season 2 and 3 but not any of the other shows and it worked out well for me

Can we please vote to let Natalie FINALLY watch Matt Reeves' Planet of the Apes trilogy? She has said many times she really wants to watch them. She's a big Andy Serkis fan & Caesar is his BEST (if not most iconic) role. She also really liked Matt Reeves' directing for "The Batman." It's a slam dunk. Let's make it happen!

I am finally giving this show a watch through ... not really sure why people are so over the moon about it. It's fine but not sure where they hype is stemming from though. Maybe the last half of season 1 really picks up?

It's about now that I start to remember why the Netflix shows were good but hard to rewatch. The season feels so long and stuffed full of pointless story dead ends. You can pluck out about 4-5 episodes of each of the Defender Saga seasons and the story wouldn't suffer or be broken up almost at all.

Agreed. Everytime someone complains about the length of a series you know it's because they want to get to their personal favorite which half the time is as long or longer than what's being watched now.

In a world where Nat reacts to all Defenders shows would that be a straight 20 months of them, or would you want her to take a 3 week break every few months to watch the current Marvel show releases and make it more like 30 months?

Just addressing a couple of points here, as I’ve already stated, I have no desire to re-watch most of the Netflix Marvel shows (not because their not good shows apart from for mentioned) it because our Natalie is a very busy lady and there are far more important shows for her to watch like Agent Carter which I’ve and others here have been tirelessly trying to get Nat to watch for over 2 years ever since she told us how much she was invested in Rodger’s and Carter’s relationship so learning about carter’s story would seam a a perfect fit for her plus it’s a Damm good show. Season 1 of Jessica Jones I would like to watch but it’s not necessary for the immediate story line. But if The Defenders came into equation, the that’s a whole different ball game and get ready for a long stay in this Marvel not MCU ( and that’s not true anymore as Marvel keeps changing the goal post themselves now) so just really think before we commit to our Natalie Reaction Path, I’ll watch either way as I’m only here to watch Nat’s reactions anyway.

Watching the full slate of Defenders-related shows will definitely make it easier to understand what's going on in The Defenders, but that's definitely a lot of television. Daredevil 1 & 2, then Iron Fist 1, then Defenders, then Daredevil 3 are probably the key series to follow the overall Defenders arc. I know a lot of folks enjoyed Jessica Jones and Luke Cage more than I did, however.

I'll say here that the things Nat enjoys so far -- scene and shot construction, use of tone and lighting, the intensity of the direction -- flourish in these shows. They get more gorgeous and polished as you go on. The payoff watching through them in the order of release through Defenders(and the INSANE Punisher season following) is a lot like the MCU movie buildups. The writing swings from watchable to downright captivating, and the emotional impact of many episodes across the shows is unforgettable. The shows get more polished and of greater depth the further in we go.

Well she has 74 Marvel patreon posts, barely beating GOT for most content of single franchise. So at 161 episodes it will take twice as long as every piece of Marvel content she has watched so far put together.

Have you got somewhere to be Rich? She watched every single X-Men movie to prepare for Deadpool and I love that. How is this different? Nobody says she has to do it all in 1 go, i just think she'd appreciate seeing them all in order.

She did watch every x-men film for Deadpool, which I guess adds another 13 films to the 74 marvel posts. Still it doesn't even count for that many of them. I'm not saying she shouldn't watch them all, but it would take 20 months at 2 a week, if you want to keep up with current marvel content it takes even longer and with any other breaks even longer. If people want to see Daredevil season 3 within the next 3 years there is some picking and choosing to be done. There comes a point where a reasonable time frame has to be taken into account. Would people be happy if we ended up with Ironfist but due to circumstance never get round to Daredevil season 3?

First, I think your 3 year timeframe is awfully pessimistic. Second, as far as I'm concerned Nat can watch whatever she wants to watch, all I can do is tell her what I'd like to see her watch and what I'd tell any irl friend who asked my recommendation. Frankly I think all reactors should rely less on polls as we end up with everyone reacting to the same stuff at the same time and it gets boring. Third, who really cares? You're so desperate to see DD s3 that you'll rush her through this experience? Patience is a virtue you know. I think Nat would enjoy watching it all, I'm a completist, but if she doesn't in the end I'll live.

Not desperate to see DD S3, but Daredevil is what actually won a poll so seems relevant. When the minimum no breaks timeframe at current rate is 1 year 8 months, 3 years is not unrealistic. I would like to see her react to all the shows but I don't think it's practical. Really I would like to at least think the people who vote on what happens understand the timeframes in question. Agree on less polls, feedback loop means the people who stick around keep voting for similar content.

Hey a funny thought crossed mind mind while I was watching DC's THE ARROW S6, OMG! Just be thankful that Natalie never want to watch the DC Arrowvese show, that watch order is one of the hardest disciplines that I've ever taken on, it's insane you literally have to watch episodes (no series) in a pre laid out plan over 8 different shows at some points because of the constantly crossing of storylines and characters popping up all over the franchise. I really didn't realise the commitment and I'm to far invested now to stop! Plus I love it! But some of you guys on here would have a melt down if Nat, started this franchise. I just made me smile that's all😄

Defenders was absolute garbage though, and I'd be surprised if she wanted to watch Defenders without seeing some of the other characters' shows anyway. There's way more crap in the Netflix Marvel shows than good, and I'm hoping she gets through Daredevil without forcing us to watch widely panned shows that will drag on forever if she's knocking out two episodes a week. There's simply nothing that is actually required in those shows to be able to watch DD Season 3. If eventually she wants to wade back into the universe, she can or those shows can win a poll (LOL) but it's insane to expect that she's going to watch 10-11 seasons of TV because Daredevil won a poll.

Yeah, every season might not be the strongest thing ever, but I love AoS for their characters and cast! I wish so much that it was canon. It's a lot better than a lot of what's come out of Marvel recently IMO

Haha, yeah, I watched the first season of the Flash and some of the Arrow but couldn't watch much after that. Granted, if Nat watched them I'd probably watch along, but be completely confused along with her XD

The Punisher is my all-time favourite Marvel show, Jon Bernthal portrayal in spot on better than the two movies, he is an antihero who originally appeared in Spider-Man, I loved the team up with Ghost Rider, two Bad-arse killers who took no prisoners, Frank Castle is a man who’s lost everything that matters to him and has nothing worthy to live for, which makes him the ruthless cold blooded killer he is, it’s cleaver written character that has you totally invested in this man and willing him to kill everyone on screen and it makes me question myself after each episode. This should most definitely be on Nat’s watch list, but I would say that!!
