Yes I am just now realizing how most of these are Tom Cruise movies...haha oops!

Comments

Joshua Kon

Edge of tommorow. The worst name of a really good movie in the past decade

Dominik

Edge of Tomorrow is a fantastic movie

Wex

Between the three Tom Cruise movies, I think I enjoyed “Edge of Tomorrow” more than both “Top of Gun” and “Mission of Impossible”.

Rebecca Solomon

Edge of Tomorrow! The best Tom Cruise action movie, because for once he doesn't play Tom Cruise.

Elisa H.

I didn't realize you've never seen the Terminator 😱😱

Tom Fehr

Edge is great for a single movie reaction but the mission franchise is great

Katrina Lehto

Terminator is fine but Terminator 2 is AMAZING.

Peter H

please let be "Edge of Tomorrow" the most unrated sci-fi movie ever, also Emily Blunt is awesome in this movie :)

Reavis Wade

So sorry for people focusing on “Top of Gun” typo, although I have to admit it is very funny. Edge of Tomorrow is great, glad it is leading in the polls. Eventually, I can’t wait for you to react to the later Mission Impossible films. It is one of the best franchises still going. I personally think they are getting better.

Gabriel L.

- Mission Impossible is my top pick, but mostly because it leads into the MI series, which gets better and better especially starting with #4. (#s 2 and 3 are good in their own ways, but 4/5/6 set a new standard). MI1 is very good but a bit more of an old-school cerebral spy story than an action film. - Edge of Tomorrow: the only non-sequel-bait here, a strong scifi action film, definitely a good choice. - "Top of Gun" – lol. My least favorite here, EXCEPT that it leads into Maverick, which was fan-freakin-tastic A+ cinema. - The Terminator: a classic, not my fave, but leads into the superior sequel T2 which is an eventual must-see.

Danishprince

I'm throwing in Kingsman as an option!

tezster

Is Top of Gun a typo? Sounds like an Anime version of Top Gun 🤪

Ian

All of the above 💛

Night King01

That’s why they changed the name to live die repeat on the blu ray release.

Andy

Edge of Tomorrow is so severely underrated it’s not funny

Kyle

We deffo end to see you start the mission impossible series 💯

Molecule

OMG where do I pay to have you watch ALL Mission Impossible movies asap? I would pay good money for that!

Peter Yocum

No Collateral? Then Edge of Tomorrow easily. But it would almost as easily be Collateral if that was on the list. Terminator, I worry that like Citizen Kane, so many of the tropes it innovated became baked in to cinema, used universally, and if you've seen a fair amount of popular action/scifi in the last few decades, it's hard to appreciate the original Terminator now because it's been milked down to a shred of gristle and you drank all the milk.

Gabriel L.

I don't think it is underrated; it's pretty well known and highly liked.

Heliastein

I want to vote this please how? xD

Boomcity

Mission Impossible is criminally underrated. Also, Edge of Tomorrow is a fantastic Sci-Fi film.

Ilsuk Yang

Yes to this suggestion

Kelsey Valeska

So just a thought here, THE Terminator, the first one, is more of a horror film than an action film. It's a great movie but, it could fit in either categry.

Dan

You need to watch Top Gun. Out of all these it's the best "classic" movie.

Dan

Terminator is kinda meh.....but Terminator 2 is one of the best action movies of the 90's

djKENTO

The new 4K release of Edge of Tomorrow is fantastic.

Endling_king

you mean theres no action in the terminator?

MarlowesMustache

Collateral is a banger, Jamie Fox and Tom Cruise are fantastic, Cruise feels like proto-John Wick in that movie.

Ilsuk Yang

All of them are good. I would say all of these franchises (except Edge of Tomorrow since there's only one movie for that one) get better as time goes on. I will say that Mission Impossible 2 is meh (although Mission Impossible is underrated; starting with the 3rd one, I think each one gets better), Top Gun: Maverick is better than the original (though, not by much), and Terminator 2 is a quintessential action movie to watch. But, going by the actual choices in the poll, I would go with Edge of Tomorrow by a slim margin. Honestly, I don't really care which movie wins this poll because it's a win for me no matter what

Rusty Childers

The first one? Yes. The rest are basically just Tom Cruise running away from progressively bigger explosions, but without the charm of a James Bond movie.

Geoffrey T. Blackwell

I would have voted for Mission: Impossible but that would inevitably lead to reactions to all of those movies and... it just isn't worth it.

LightsCameraJake

I think you need to watch top gun anyway even if it loses because it's an amazing classic that was ahead of its time on how they filmed it and the sequal is also fantastic and better Edge of tomorrow is definitely the worst movie on the list compared to the other 3. I truthfully dont understand this audiences voting habbits. Just tell me you havnt seen any other Tom Cruise movie without telling me you havnt seen any other Tom Cruise movie xD

Sam Kimpton

Glad to see Edge of Tomorrow winning this poll, as it's an oft-overlooked sci-fi film. If you're a fan of Tom Cruise, there's a lot to like in this film. And if you're NOT a fan of Tom Cruise, there are a few things to like in this film. :)

Sam Kimpton

I think The Terminator can fit into a lot of different genres, including action, thriller, sci-fi and horror.

Keith Jacobsen

My favorite part of gun is top of gun.

Jason Gillman

I love Edge of Tomorrow but voted for The Terminator in the hopes of getting Terminator 2, which is one of my favorite movies ever.

sarCC

I think alot of people use "underrated" when they really mean "under seen." Most critics love it, but it’s not the most successful or widely seen of Cruise's movies. (Personally, I actually think it's overrated.)

Walter Lopez

Edge of Tomorrow, Lets Goooooo

Boomcity

Honestly I've found the MI series (excluding 2) to be more enjoyable than the recent Bond films. And the ratings show both critically and among fans they have gotten better.

Laro

Same.

Randee Carreno

All great choices. It was between "Top Gun" and "The Terminator". "The Terminator" ended up getting my vote mainly because I'm want you to get to "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" soon after that. T2 is the best sequel in The Terminator series.

Philip Davetas

I don't hear people talk about EDGE OF TOMORROW much, but I remember really liking it.

Matthew

Edge of Tomorrow was fun and often overlooked, and not part of a franchise.

Aquilam_Auratum

I would like to see Top Gun back to back once Maverick is out of the Theaters but Edge of Tomorrow is fantastic!

Leetmouse

All of the above?

Ernesto

It has been forever since I've seen Edge of Tomorrow

DDK

Edge of Tomorrow is great, think that’s a good solo watch. I’d still really love to see you dive into the Mission Impossible franchise at some point before the next film comes out next year. The first movie is still a great spy thriller, but I feel like the series has done some really interesting things since to keep it fresh. (Although the 2nd movie is directed by John Woo, so it’s a total cheese-fest, but still worth it)

Boomcity

Man MI: 2 was soooo disappointing

Boomcity

I see you're also a man of great taste.

Holger Dewes

Terminator is just the perfect action movie IMHO. They don't make 'em like they used to.

Michael Bergeron

Mission Impossible series is the best one here. The first movie isn’t better than any of the others here though.

Brian Jones

Edge of Tomorrow get's my vote, but I'd love to see you do a run through the Mission Impossible films eventually.

Brian Jones

Garbage marketing campaign for it as well. This one and Oblivion, both solid sci-fi films, got shafted by bad marketing. Shame really, but it's nice to see them getting more love as the years go on.

Brian Jones

MI2 was a victim of it's own director. 3 was to an extent as well, but 3 is a far better film than 2. And they get increasingly better after that.

Duncan Moseley

Your last paragraph is probably completely wrong.I’ve seen most Tom Cruise movies and Edge of Tomorrow is fantastic.

Duncan Moseley

I imagine that’s true of a lot of people here.

Grune

Top of Gun? 🤣

Brian Jones

Terminator suffered from both the time it was made, and the low budget it was given. Cameron was still "cutting his teeth" so to speak, although he did plenty of that on the Corman films as well. Once Terminator was a hit, he was pretty much the golden boy from then on.

zak

Terminator 1 is a great film, but it's almost a horror film, Terminator 2 however, is one of the greatest action/sci-fi films ever made,

Brian Jones

@Chief - Yeah, I personally liked MI3 quite a bit, but it does suffer from a lot of JJ'isms. That man does love his lens flares.

Bou Sculpts

I'm really torn on this one, but overall I think Edge of Tomorrow is the best one, from a watch along perspective.

Marty McGee

Terminator would produce a lot of Nat screams. Edge of Tomorrow will too, though it's a lot more fun too. Top Gun is just a great 80's fun cheese-fest, but with a lot of heart as well. The recent sequel Maverick is really good though so I hope you see the original sometime. The Mission:Impossible franchise is one of the best yet still a little underrated spy/action thriller series. The first one is a little weak in that it doesn't hold up as well now, but still worth it. I hope you do a run through sometime. I think it's 5 or 6 movies with another coming out soon. For my vote I apparently went with the majority with Edge of Tomorrow. It really is the most fun other than Top Gun.

fryke

Always Magnolia. So, so much better than any of the above. But it's not exactly an action movie. :)

Julian Calzada

damn i like all of these, this is a hard one

SquaredSpekz

I also enjoy the Top of Gun.

Muir Lyman

I'm voting for Edge Of Tomorrow cuz it's great, but I also think you should give the whole Mission Impossible franchise a go; it contains some of the best action films of the last couple decades IMO.

Kevin Mowery

I'm voting for The Terminator because it's good and it's not got Tom Cruise in it. But, failing that, I would have voted for Top Gun because at least it's on amazon prime, so I could watch along without having to rent a copy.

xtc

Edge of tomorrow is a very underrated movie. Terminator would be my second choice, a classic action movie that was a blueprint for decades

David Crabtree

I wouldn't say it's underrated. I don't recall seeing or reading a bad review on this movie, from critics or fans

History Nuggets

Terminator, especially if you then go to Terminator 2. You could stop there, honestly.

PrayTellCaesar

I think it bombed at the box office though?

Jack Burton

Underrated: Not given enough recognition for its quality.... so it's not talked about enough is what he was saying. Which is a form of not getting enough recognition for it's quality.

Darryl Low

Nobody's feeling the need for speed. I'll go with Edge of Tomorrow as I've never seen it and have always wanted to watch it but never got around to it 😊 Have a great day Nat 💛

Troy

If you have never seen Terminator, then that would be good to watch just for the pop cultural frame of reference. But of the listed Tom Cruise movies, Edge of Tomorrow would be my fave, and has bits for you to figure out or scratch your head over, either of which would be good for reaction fodder. (I personally don't think the original Top Gun has enough to react to, but that might just be me.)

Mike Ortiz

That was the only Tom Cruise movie that put me to sleep!

Richard Maurer

Voted for Terminator, but I won't cry if Edge of Tomorrow wins.

Nexus

Is it gonna be the new top gun

Fostena

It's been a long time since I (re)watched Edge of Tomorrow. Can't wait! :)

Riolkin

Don't care very much for Tom Cruise, but that movie is a very cool concept. I would absolutely do a rewatch, especially with anything starring Emily Blunt.

Opti_Frog

I still much prefer the first film to Terminator 2.

Opti_Frog

There is an unrated version of Edge of Tomorrow? 😋

Steve J

Wow, the one I'm voting for might actually win for once... 😁

Joe Angeles

Top Gun since it’s the prequel to quite possibly the most anticipated movie since pre Covid and has grossed over $1 billion and counting but this page is pretty much a heavy pro sci-fi crowd so it’ll look like Edge of Tomorrow(good movie btw) is going to win. Maybe as a suggestion do more polls with a genre type

Opti_Frog

Whoa there. Top Gun is barely a movie. It's a 1 hr 40 min ad for the US air force. The Mission Impossible movies are some of the most forgettable action flicks ever made. Edge of tomorrow is certainly flawed, but at least it has a fun concept.

Steve J

With TG 2 crushing it at the box office, might finally get a sequel to this. Apparently Tom Cruise + old IP = box office gold

Opti_Frog

The only one of these i would consider a modern classic and a masterpiece is The Terminator.

Steve J

They kind of went the Fast & Furious route. First few they tried to make somewhat realistic with diminishing returns, then just said F it and went balls to the walls over the top action where the characters are essentially unkillable machines.

LightsCameraJake

Firtst off, Top gun has nothing to do with the airforce, its actually the Navy. 2nd, Mission impossible as well as top gun are what gave Cruise his career. Also I never said edge of tomorrow was a bad movie, but compared to the other 3, its the weakest entry. So please dont come at me with how forgettable the other films are just because you have a bad taste for them. They are classic hits for a damn reason.

Steve J

Have to agree with Dan. Terminator had fun with the premise and well made for what its budget probably was, but T2 is genre defining.

Boomcity

I will agree they need to bring back the suspense the first one had (without giving spoilers) but I wouldn't say that's a fair comparison. FF1 they were street racing thieves all about racing for pinks and modding cars, now they're globe trotting heroes. In MI they're still a team of specialists trying to tackle insane missions. But I would like to see them change up the formula just a tad.

Ortizmo

I prefer the predecessor Top of Old Smoky, myself.

Cody Steele

Aww... I was hoping for a chance at Predator before Prey releases. Any chance of a write in?

XanderWhat

Yep, it’s just that shot of Emily Blunt arching her back over and over.

Kevin Maguire

Edge Of Tomorrow is great but you should also consider the Mission: Impossible series, the rare franchise that gets better as it goes along.

Erik Stevenson

These are all fun choices, I'm glad EoT is winning but honestly wouldn't be mad at a surprise reaction for any of the other three down the line.

Ulrich Unterbrunner

The Mission Impossible Series would also be nice. If alone for the soundtrack.

jamie jones

Top gun has nothing to do with the air force? Are you sure you’ve seen top gun?

Tom Chan

However, if it wasnt for MI2, we would never have had Jackman as Wolvie

LightsCameraJake

Top Gun is literally the U.S Navy, but go off about how ive never seen it when I did the job of working on an aircraft carrier in real life. Sometimes its funny to see the ignorance in messages like yours when you think you are right. You clearly dont know what you are talking about.

Godzilla Jones

I'm voting for Edge of Tomorrow because that flick is way underrated, but the first two Terminator films are basically sci fi required viewing. T2 is one of the best Sci fi movies ever made. The director's cut is especially good, but that's true of pretty much all of James Cameron's movies.

Armchair Rizzard

I really think both Terminator and Mission Impossible would be great choices.

PlayfulPB

I will now only call that movie Top of Gun

Fostena

@praytellcaesar it didn't perform well domestically. It did better internationally. Overall it more than doubled its budget in earnings

Powers209

Still hoping to get the 1970s movie "Kelly's Heroes" onto a list. I'll even send you a DVD if it will help.

Erik Larson

Some day maybe, Close Encounters of the Third Kind......But any of these will do for now. ;-)

Colton Pickarts

I highly recommend Top Gun. I loved that movie ever since I was a kid.

Brian Jones

Firstly, yes, Top Gun is Navy, not Air Force. Secondly, no Top Gun didn't give Cruise his career, that started when he exploded off of his lead role in Risky Business. Thirdly, and most importantly, while YOU might think it's the best film on the list, I would strongly disagree. And yes, I've been around long enough to have seen all of these films in the theater, along with every other film Cruise has been in. It's not his best film. It's iconic 80's, and it was certainly a phenomenon when it came out, but it is what it is, a very obvious product of it's time. It's fun, and it's a good film, but it's not a great film. I can think of others from Cruise as well as Tony Scott that are better films than Top Gun. I would say that Edge of tomorrow is certainly the more creative film of the two, and it certainly got my vote. Doug Liman did a pretty amazing job with that film, as did Emily Blunt. But if it makes you feel any better, I would imagine Nat will get around to Top Gun regardless at some point, as just about every other reactor on the planet is doing it in anticipation for the video release of Top Gun: Maverick. So while it's not winning this poll, I would anticipate seeing it soon on the channel.

Patrick Mitchell

You need to watch the first two Terminator films and you need to watch the Mission Impossible series.

JayF

The best thing would be to watch all four of these. There's not movie on the list that isn't a must see.

chico

im voting for edge of tomorrow but it would be cool to see you react to the mission impossible movies!

Brian Jones

Oh don't get me wrong, Terminator is a great film, it just suffered due to budget unfortunately, and the stop-motion really doesn't hold up well all these years later. The idea was certainly solid, and it's a classic regardless. I still prefer the second over the first though for it's groundbreaking effects (at the time), and it's telling of a much more in depth story.

DAVID BRANHAM

Interesting factoid… “ Liman pushed hard for the film to be called Live Die Repeat, but an executive at Warner Bros wanted to rename it Edge Of Tomorrow. Despite pushing for his preferred title, Liman was overruled and the movie was released as Edge Of Tomorrow. Live Die Repeat thus became the poster tagline.”

jamie jones

Aweeee someone’s slept on the wrong side of the bed. Naval aviation being mistaken for airforce aviation, what a crime!

LightsCameraJake

The issue isnt the fact that you mistook airforce for navy, it was the fact that you accused me of never seeing the film in the first place after I was correcting somebody on what it actually is, you second guessed me confident that I hadnt seen it. Thats all ill say on that.

Jenny Tolls

Just skip the first Terminator and go to the second one. It’s a lot better.

dieselbeast

If terminator doesn't win watch it regardless and terminator two in the near future 👍 amazing classic arnie lol

Gryff

I AM VOTE FOR TOP OF GUN.

Robert Hughes

My vote is for the entire Terminator Movie Series. They're all great for different reasons.

Jobard

Lol 3 Tom Cruise movies, then The Terminator

jamie jones

The majority of people on this planet are not going to know the difference between naval aviation and air force aviation. The comment from opti fog is still valid, just replace air force with navy. I personally find it funny someone would get so mad at such a simple mistake. Originally you didnt correct them, you said only it had nothing to do with the air force then went into a personal attack about their taste in movies. (You have now edited your first reply). So i poked and you didn’t disappoint. The dark side is strong in you.

Opti_Frog

I have never ever seen that opinion before.

Opti_Frog

It's the same as with Aliens: Bigger budget, less horror/more action, add a child and make it more mainstream friendly. I don't dislike T2 but i have a love/hate relationship with it.

Jason Dolan

2 Rick Rossovich movies! And 2 Bill Paxton movies!

LightsCameraJake

Actually most people do know the difference. Probably because Navy aircraft have "U.S Navy" on the side of them and airforce have "USAF" on the side of them, not hard at all. Yeah I might of got a little heated my bad on my end but next time dont poke people for the sake of poking them. Thats you just throwing fuel on the fire. The dark side is strong in you too. Peace out.

JarHead0351

don't understand how so many people think Edge Of Tomorrow is such a great movie - it was so so movie . The Terminator & Mission Impossible are far better movies - I do like that you can only vote for one movie - which ever movie, I be there watching with ya

Brian Jones

@Patrick Armbruster - Not exactly what I'd call a Tom Cruise movie either. It's more of an ensemble piece. Although I will say Tom's performance in it was pretty damn stellar.

jamie jones

Ive found nat only watches the first movie of the series that win these polls, rocky, john wick, casino royale ect. In that case, id pick edge of tomorrow over MI 1. terminator 1 is harder but id really like a terminator reaction to lead way to T2, not just part 1.

jamie jones

T2 is the only sequel as far as I’m concerned.

Matthew Jaszyn

Natalie, Book of Boba Fett is basically Mandalorian Season 2.5. You gotta watch it!

Adam

Live Die Repeat with Terminator a close second!!

Thomas Yanez

If you want "The Mandalorian" season 2.5, then she only needs to watch two episodes. Unfortunately, for many who have passed on the Boba Fett series, those two episodes have a significant impact on "The Mandalorian".

SpaceLord

Big Fan of Live Die Repeat

John Rando

I tell everyone to pass on the Director’s Cut. The alternate ending is not as good and the extra scenes are unnecessary.

Dor

This poll is how I know I'm old.

yurrrjo

Gray Man would be cool too

Jofus

I am of also of vote for Top of gun of

Robert Hughes

🤣 I'm not dead yet so, “You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”

Brian Jones

@jamie jones - "Aweeee someone’s slept on the wrong side of the bed. Naval aviation being mistaken for airforce aviation, what a crime!" Say that to the wrong pilot in a bar and you might just walk away with a few less teeth.😂

DougDima

EoT is DogShit. Stolen DogShit. ESPECIALLY when compared to the Masterpiece that is T-1..... smh

Eric Janssen

The problem when polls are taken over by “It’s MY favorite film/I haven’t seen it yet!” fans who only know movies they were alive to see in theaters. (Or Netflix.)

Albiezushi

TOM CRUISE MONTH! *jumps on sofa*

Philip Davetas

I love TERMINATOR, but I don't think it's very reaction-heavy. She might just react amusingly to the 80's being the 80's.

Brian Jones

The problem when polls don't reflect your personal opinion so you feel the desperate need to lash out in the comment section and make blind assumptions regarding people you don't even know.🙄🤦

Brian Jones

As much as I respect the guy's work ethic, he's never going to live that down.😂

Philip Davetas

Weird thing about those M:I movies, I really only loved them from GHOST PROTOCOL on. I don't think she needs to watch all those movies, but at least the latest ones. The newer ones are amazing.

Philip Davetas

I never realized what was so offensive about that. Just some over zealous dude scaring Oprah. It's like the American dream to frighten Oprah.

Philip Davetas

She does need more Bill Paxton in her life. And I'm not talking about the blockbuster Bill Paxton, but the "You Want Some" Bill Paxton. As for Rossovich, he was great in ROXANNE.

Philip Davetas

I love the first three TERMINATORS. Yes, I loved RISE OF THE MACHINES too. I have a special place in my heart for DARK FATE and, yes, I realize that's really offensive to a lot of people who love TERMINATOR. But I would say the time paradox does break down if you think about it too much. But if one can forget the TERMINATOR multiverse and shut down their CPUs, then they're entertaining.

Jason Dolan

Frailty One False Move A Simple Plan Nightcrawler Apollo 13 Near Dark True Lies Weird Science Twister Predator 2 All essential Paxton

pmuser

I'm really hoping for reaction videos for ARCANE and INVINCIBLE sometime in the near future :)

Opti_Frog

James Cameron knows how to stage an action sequence. Doug Liman tells his DP to shake the camera. 😋

Steve J

The first MI probably has the most memorable scene of the whole series.

MightyHobo

It was sort of a perfect storm of a lot of different things all happening at once. 2005 was the year Youtube launched and the Cruise video was the first big hit on the platform. It also happened that Cruise had fired his extremely talented publicist to hire his sister for the job right as a huge surge in blogs as new media meant that most publicists didn't know how to jump in front of a story anymore. It all probably would have blown over if Cruise hadn't immediately started a feud with Brooke Shields by being dismissive of her postpartum depression and appearing on Today insisting that psychiatry and psychiatric medicine were dangerous and fake and started proselytizing for Scientology.

MightyHobo

Warner Bros executives are pretty damn good at making dumb decisions. They thought the movie would underperform the way Oblivion had the year before so they wanted a better title but in the end they just ended up doing the same thing that Oblivion did: A confusing, and uninspired marketing campaign that depressed box office turnout. The film vastly outperformed areas where the name change didn't happen such as in foreign markets and on DVD.

MightyHobo

No shame in liking what you like but I'm hard pressed to remember anything good about Terminator 3 or Terminator Spell Check Failure

jamie jones

Not the bars i go to, as I’m not american😉. Also as a pilot myself, they frown upon us drinking. I imagine the US military is similar with their pilots.

N.Y.S

If I can suggest for next movie to react. Please react movie Free Guy. It's so fun and very entertaining! Ryan Reynolds and Joe Kerry (Steve on Stranger Thing) starring it!

J.C.G.

Eric - how does one "take over" a poll? People who can, and then choose to, vote in it. If we aren't to respect people choosing on the basis of enjoying a film, or not seeing it, and wanting to, what is the criteria that you want people to be making this decision by? Brian - I agree with your sentiment 100%, however, didn't you just head to the comments section to "lash out" in the very last poll conducted "What order do I watch Daredevil in?" because your personal opinion was not winning the poll?

Brian Jones

@J.C.G. - I didn't "lash out" at all. Nor did I tell anyone they had the "wrong" opinion, or criticize anyone for liking any of it. I simply stated my own opinion and argued my case. You're free to like anything you want. For example, you might like Iron Fist. I might think your taste is for shit for liking Iron Fist. But I'd never tell you that. Nor would I tell you to vote against it in a poll.🤷

John Fields

Either Mission Impossible because there’s a lot of them or Top Gun since the new one just came out a little while ago. They’re all good though.

J.C.G.

Uh huh . . . I am genuinely not trying to target you Brian, but I really don't like hypocrisy, to wit . . . The following are excerpts from an exchange between Brian Jones and Richard Maurer on the Poll "What order do I watch Daredevil in" in which he tells someone they have the wrong opinion, criticizes people for liking something, and praises the efforts of people in the comments arguing against the results of a poll. Brian: " . . . I get it Richard, you're clearly a fan regardless of quality, but anyone with even a remote sense of honesty, regardless of how diehard they are as a fan, would be willing to admit the vast majority of this content (outside JJ season 1, and maybe Punisher season 1) was pretty bad if not outright awful . . ." Richard: "I get it, you're a hater regardless of quality" Brian: ". . . I'm just realistic Richard. I'm willing to admit when something is objectively bad regardless of branding. Even when it's a brand I generally like. You don't seem capable of that" Richard: "Or I just don't think they're bad? . . . " Brian: ". . . Oh I don't doubt that a bit Richard, and thank you for proving my point. Thankfully, Nat has read the comments from patrons, is being reasonable about it, and isn't going through with slogging through the entire mess of shows. So there's no real reason to keep discussing it. All I can say is, you must REALLY enjoy mediocrity . . . "

Brian Jones

@J.C.G. - "I am genuinely not trying to target you Brian" Right. Yet it appears you're trying desperately to do exactly that by digging through old comments and attempting to play a game (very poorly I might add) of gotcha.😂 "he tells someone they have the wrong opinion" Interesting, I don't see that quote anywhere. Would you like to point it out? Where exactly did I say he was "wrong" for liking the show, or voting for it for that matter?🤷 "criticizes people for liking something" Again, I don't see that quote either. Please point it out. Thanks.👍 "praises the efforts of people in the comments arguing against the results of a poll." Of this, in that particular instance, yes I'm partially guilty. I did applaud the efforts of others arguing that Nat shouldn't spend the next year solid watching Netflix Marvel content. Most of which is unarguably pretty damn bad. Certainly doesn't mean you can't like it. Also doesn't mean you can't vote for it.🤷 I also, like many others, felt that the poll wasn't a very good one considering the options given. Which ultimately even Nat agreed. This is clearly not about any kind of hypocrisy as you've failed to show any. But it's pretty apparent you were bent out of shape about the way it all turned out. That, or you're still upset about our other conversations. Either way, it's looking pretty petty.🙄

Brian Jones

@J.C.G. - Oh yeah, now I remember, you're that guy that was trying desperately to put words in my mouth regarding the Obi-Wan show. You seem to be developing your own little pattern of that. This makes so much more sense now. Carry on.😂👍

Essero Eson

Why is the porn version of Top Gun in this poll?

Rich House

I never tell anyone their opinion is wrong, just that they are incapable of accepting that the show they like is objectively bad while I passive aggressively quote everyone back to themselves and add emojis to the end of every sentence 🤡

Brian Jones

Ah Rich, nice to see you here as well. Seems the thread is really attracting the upset Obi-Wan lovers. Funny that.😂 Incidentally, the quotes are a reference to what I'm specifically responding to from your post. I had no idea they were so emotionally troubling for you. I'll leave them out this time to avoid triggering you.👍 You guys are in serious need of not taking a show too seriously. It's been over a week now. It's not healthy to carry around the animosity like this Rich. Especially when you're scouring two day old unrelated threads. That's a tad obsessive, and borderline creepy.😬

Marcus Powell

I didn’t even notice Nat didn’t watch Terminator yet. Feels impossible, almost. I guess I lost my vote.

Rich House

Well that's just wrong, I actually think the Obi-Wan show is really quite bad and the rewatch so far has been painful. Funny that the guy who has left the most/longest comments about a show he hates is telling me I have unhealthy levels of animosity and am obsessive. You do you though, whatever makes you happy

Chris H

I do hope we get to The Terminator and T2 soon! Been years since I watched those.

Brian Jones

@Rich House - "Funny that the guy who has left the most/longest comments about a show he hates" What can I say Rich? There's just a whole lot to hate about that show.😂🤷 "is telling me I have unhealthy levels of animosity and am obsessive." This from the guy who never misses an opportunity to read them, obsess over them, and reply at length to them. As I've said before Rich, there's absolutely no requirement for your personal interaction.😏🤷 "You do you though, whatever makes you happy" Thanks so much Rich. I was unaware I needed your permission for that, but now that I have it, I am forever relieved.😂👍

Oh Brian . . . I really have to explain what your own words mean? Okay - People having the wrong opinion: "...anyone with even a remote sense of honesty, regardless of how diehard they are as a fan, would be willing to admit the vast majority of this content (outside JJ season 1, and maybe Punisher season 1) was pretty bad if not outright awful . . . " - So the only way to come to a different opinion than yours, is by being dishonest? People who don't think the other properties are "pretty bad if not outright awful" are not only wrong, but they are lying about their opinion, if not to others, than at least to themselves. Criticizing other peoples opinion: " I'm willing to admit when something is objectively bad regardless of branding. You don't seem capable of that . . ." "You must REALLY enjoy mediocrity" - So you misuse the word 'objectively' when talking about opinions towards a show, which is a subjective matter, and then attack Richard's very capability of forming their own opinion, and imply that the things they like are mediocre. Now, I am beginning to think that you have become incredibly confused on the difference between objective facts, and subjective opinions. So perhaps you do believe that you aren't being hypocritical here - because you have somehow become tripped up on the idea that your 'opinions' are now somehow 'facts' - and clearly that if people don't agree with your 'facts', then they are wrong, you are right, and you aren't really attacking them or their 'opinions', you are defending 'the truth' as you see it - but your opinions aren't facts, neither are Richards, nor mine, nor anyone for that matter. If you want to have constructive arguments about entertainment media in any of its forms, I really suggest you revisit the difference between objective fact and subjective opinion - if that is why you are commenting in the first place, if not . . . what are you even trying to accomplish here?

Brian Jones

@J.C.G. - So what you're saying is you can't point to a single quote where I said that people "couldn't" or "shouldn't" like these shows, or that they "couldn't" or "shouldn't" vote for them. Nor can you point to a quote where I criticized anyone for liking them. Thanks for proving my point. I'm glad we got that cleared up.😂👍 "Now, I am beginning to think that you have become incredibly confused on the difference between objective facts, and subjective opinions." Actually I'd say it's quite the opposite. Much like your issues with Obi-Wan, there are objective flaws in the material. Ones that are universally agreed upon as being egregiously laughable either due to their technical ineptitude, or complete betrayal of characters, story arcs, or related to other in universe blunders. Bad direction, writing, effects work, acting, lighting, editing, etc. all play into that, and can be OBJECTIVELY bad. The same sorts of flaws can be found in some of the Netflix Marvel content. Hell, you can find some of it in the Disney Marvel content as well for that matter.🙄 Now that being said, you CAN still like it, and you CAN still vote for it. I'd NEVER begrudge you that at all. But when you refuse to acknowledge the existence of said flaws, yes, you're in denial, and they deserve every bit of criticism for the flaws that they are. It would be like you coming to me and trying to say with a straight face that Tommy Wiseau's The Room is a well written film with brilliant cinematography. You might very well have that opinion, but the writing and cinematography on that film are OBJECTIVELY bad. Do you understand? Could I possibly spell this out any clearer for you?😂🤦

Jack Burton

I hope we get to those too, but Edge of Tomorrow is one of my favorite sci-fi films and I had to vote for it. Sorry Marcus!

Ohh, I'm sorely disappointed! I was rooting for The Terminator hard on this end. xD I LOVE that movie so darn much. I just introduced it to a buddy of mine and they were proper freaked and scared throughout. SUCH A GREAT MOVIE! I don't care if I'm biased.. it's been my favorite movie since I was about 3 years old. That's right, THREE YEARS OLD. I watched that movie as a youngster then got a Terminator action figure dude who I played with nonstop, growing up. Fucking LOVE that movie so much. hahaha, oh well, maybe next time.

Sean Irvin

Literally, HOW is EoT beating the Terminator franchise?? lol

collegeguy6377

It's one of my all-time favorite movies, even though The Terminator is on that list as well

justin lin

It's a much more fun watch for a watch along

SilverWolf

It's weird how reactors somehow get in sync, I just saw someone else post an edge of tomorrow video! Looking forward to watching it with Nat though :)

LarryJ nyc

I voted for EOT... I prefer Terminator but only if you are committed to at least T1 and T2

Phillip Elbert

Wow....edge of tomorrow is the worst of all these and have seen it on other reactors posts recently. Seems strange that that got a higher ranking than the others.
