What we do in the shadows is an all time favorite for me for comedy

ISeeTrees ofGreen

The mist, one of the few adaptations of his books that king actually liked but also preferred to his own book!

Gary

Haunting of hill house

ethmal248

Maybe Zombieland 2?

Nick

The Conjuring, solid horror flick

Erik Ahl

Scary Movie!

Michael Ennis

If you haven’t seen them before, the two Happy Death Day movies are absolutely hilarious!!

Jagr

Insidious… I thought it was pretty funny

jb

The Blair Witch Project

James Hahn

Not a Halloween movie but Prey is REALLY good

Dallas Luna

The Haunting of Bly Manor!

Mark Daza

Poltergeist, It Chapter 2 and Split

HQB

TUCKER AND DALE VS EVIL!!!! Hilarious horror comedy. It’s best to go in not knowing anything, it stars Allen Tudic so you know it’s a banger

Rhys

IT Chapter 2 would be great to see you finish the story

Brian (DocHikes)

Not a comedy movie, but a fun TV miniseries: Over The Garden Wall! It's a cartoon but it's quite funny, moving, and is the perfect Halloween watch!

Deezer4u

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil

Rory cornetto

Tucker and dale vs evil Is a comedy horror masterpiece

Loneclaw

Annihilation

Andrew Harrison

Salvage (2006)! I don't watch a lot of horror, but it's easily my favorite.

Ben Ranson

Tucker and Dale Vs Evil. We all need more Alan Tudyk in our lives...

Rey

The vvitch , midsommer, hereditary you might enjoy these a24 horror ones as well

Cliff

Tucker and Dale vs evil, the descent, sinister

Practical Magic! It’s not scary, little bit more of thriller with sisterhood and a great OST.

Wayne

Watch the second part of John Carpenter's apocalypse trilogy, Prince of Darkness

Rolo 19

Over the garden wall jus autumn 🍂 vibes

Gabriella

I have a short tv series suggestion! Over the Garden Wall. Super cute/funny cartoon with spooky Halloween vibes 🧡

Tyler Freedman

Sleepy Hollow (1999) Johnny Depp as Ichabod with Christina Ricci and Christopher Walken

Corey

Tucker & Dale vs Evil

Jenny Chalek

ORIGINAL VERSION of The Wicker Man (1973). It's folk horror but it's also kind of a musical comedy. Super pagan, and is a cult film among the pagan community. Do NOT, repeat NOT try watching the remake that had Nic Cage in it. You will wish you had brain bleach. They are not the same movie.

JD Shick

Definitely should check out the Haunting of Bly Manor! Has a lot of the same cast as Hill House. Fantastic show!

TemKhan

Tucker and Dale vs Evil What We Do in the Shadows

Brian (DocHikes)

Otherwise, "Trick 'r Treat" is a campy and goofy horror movie.

Gabrielle Renae

The Crow, technically it involves Halloween. It's not a great movie but I'm a sucker for a B movie. It's very 90's; dark, grungy, dirty and a little sexy. Kinda campy.

Roderick Hare

If you ever wanna react to Halloween Disney channel original movies you should totally check out Halloweentown, Don't Look Under The Bed, or Mom's Got A Date With A Vampire 🎃🎃 🦇 🧛

Śéáń

A fun indie option is Extra Ordinary. A former exorcist/medium living in a small town in Ireland has to come out of retirement. Will Forte plays a role in it. It's really a goofy and entertaining comedy. More "Hocus Pocus" than outright horror.

Onno Smits

Over the Garden Wall or Tucker and Dale vs Evil

Patrick Egan

I mean, I gotta go with the original 1978 Halloween, followed by the recent batch of sequels, the 2018 Halloween, 2021's Halloween Kills, and the upcoming Halloween Ends.

Thomas Onisto

For horror The Descent For horror/Comedy Tucker and Dale vs Evil Freaky Happy Death Day

Henry

Shaun of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Hubie Halloween :)

Ian Forbes

What We Do in the Shadows, Monster Squad, Tucker & Dale vs Evil

Steve SG-1

The Crow (1994), Sleepy Hollow (1999)

Aurora Borealis

Room 1408 ( not as jump scary, more psychological horror )

DancingTree

Hereditary The witch It comes at night

Pedro

Willies wonderland was incredible! Also American werewolf in London is iconic.

Matthew Periolat

Honestly, my Halloween staples are The Blair Witch Project, The Craft, Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Ginger Snaps. Funny or light? I’d go with Casper or Monster Squad.

♥Raie♥

Hereditary or Midsommar!! Ari aster makes my fav horror movies! ♥

diego martinez

HOUSE (1977)!!! ABSURDIST HAUNTED HOUSE TEEN GIRLIE COMEDY FROM JAPAN

Bryan David

The original “Fright Night”…..or the remake. My preference is to the OG but both are really fun.

Jason Hallett

Ginger Snaps is a great werewolf movie, very fun.

Gabriel L.

Cross-checking against your channel, I don't think you've seen these: The Descent Bram Stoker's Dracula The Ring Get Out Nope Annihilation Deep Blue Sea Sleepy Hollow

Śéáń

It Follows is a great horror film.

Kyle Fletcher

Idk which ones you've already done but these are my top 5: The Decent 28 Days Later Evil Dead (remake) The Babadook You're Next

dieselbeast

Saw, child's play, Jason X, Exorcist

Jamie Mulholland

It follows Scream Midsommar Fear street (Netflix original) Final destination Saw

Marc Goldman

Midnight Mass, The Mist, Ginger Snaps

Jason

Shaun of the Dead would be nice, but because of you hate zombie, i would suggest another Edgar Wright's movie Hot Fuzz, not actually a horror movie but has its scary moments!

Daniel Vezina

Interview With A Vampire, Spawn the Animated series, Underworld

T.L. Thomas

Insomia, Nope, Us, Get Out

N

Alien, A Nightmare on Elmstreet for scary/horrific, Shaun of the Dead for Halloween comedy & Predator (1987) because it fits the Halloween theme & there’s even something stranger things fans will get a kick out of

Ian

Jordan peele's movies are great

Dylan Tuesday

Nightmare on Elmstreet, Get Out, Us

Nautilus1492

Horrific comedy = Tucker and Dale Classic Horror = Halloween / Friday the 13th / Child's Play etc Underestimated Horrific films = "Pumpkinhead" (fantastic/horror, really nice little film for having a good time while watching a Halloween film) or Pandorum (SF/horror/survival, really nice and solid little film, with an oppressive atmosphere)

Dan

Arachnophobia is a classic scary movie with spiders! The movie gave lots of people their fear of spiders, and not a lot of people have reacted to it yet. It's a seriously good movie, though!

Hal

Haunting of Bly Manor or Midnight Mass are both wonderful.

adrianR31

Color Out of Space

MacGuffinStuff

Tucker and Dale Vs Evil, Sinister 1 and 2, The Exorcist 3 (but only if you've seen the first one), The Blair Witch Project, Stir of Echoes, Jacob's Ladder (original, I haven't seen the remake, can't vouch for it).

Manuel J. Colon Muniz

I’m glad I’m not alone, lol. I watched it in theaters with some friends when we were in the 6th grade, bet your ass we had an emergency sleep over and played video games all night to avoid whatever the sandman had in store.

John

The Descent, NOPE, Sinister. There's more but I can't think of them right now lol

Brian Jones

Let the Right One In (or 'Let Me In' if you insist on the American version. Swedish version is WAY batter though) Ready or Not Hereditary Green Room

Luck Dragon's Lair

Really hoping you get to the second half of IT :-) the two movies are essentially just one long movie split up. :-)

Joshua Kon

Nope and screams would be fun

TONYA JACKSON

Nightmare on Elm Street, Disturbia, Scream

Peter Moe

Nope would be good, it’s recent. Or the ritual

Steven

Cadaver, Creep. The Boy. Mother. Ready or Not.

Artisanbloodbank

Tucker and Dale is a must see for sure, but my other go to's for Black Comedy are Scream, What We Do In The Shadows, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Beetlejuice, Jennifer's Body, Idle Hands

Philip

The second part of 'IT'! Or if you're interested to do a show, watch Haunting of Bly Manor. Same creator and similar cast from Haunting of Hill House

Rey

Nic cage's the Wicker man is pretty great unintentional comedy lol

Tim Brown

Host (2020): Found footage film about a seance that takes place entirely on a zoom call Gonjiam Haunted Asylum: Korean found footage about a group of ghost hunters Fresh (2022): A horror film about dating Werewolves Within: Hilarious horror comedy about a small town that has a werewolf

Randee Carreno

Happy Sunday, Natalie! I hope that you had a great wedding. 😊 Some spooky movie suggestions: "IT: Chapter 2", at least the next movie in the Nightmare on Elm Street series: "A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge", the first "Scream" movie, "Lights Out", "The Last Exorcism", "Unfriended", "Midsommar", and "The Shining", and the original 1982 "Poltergeist. Have a great rest of the day! 😊 Stay Golden! 💛

Edgar

Conjuring , Hereditery , The Witch, Insidious , Sinister , It Follows

Adrian G Ramirez

What we do in the shadows is great. Also Over The Garden Wall gets me in the Halloween mood.

Joshua Reynolds

The conjuring series would be good I mean there not the best critic wise but I think there decent for a good scare

FateMalone

Watch the conjuring and halloween 2018

Ashley Cecere

Annihilation, the vvitch, midsommar, crimson peak, the ring, it chapter 2, the fear street trilogy on netflix

Athenor

Gremlins(a classic) I don't watch scarey movies so I don't know many

Woody G

Tucker and Dale vs Evil and What we do in the shadows, are truly hilarious. Also The descent, Heraditary, Midsommar, It follows, and the Suspiria Remake are some of my favourite newer Horrors.

Dan

I love the idea for What We Do In the Shadows - both the movie and the tv series!

George Perez

The Child's Play/Chucky series, Jeepers Creepers, Hellraiser, Carrie and Night of the Creeps.

Sour Flesh

* The Mist (2007- it's the third of the three adaptations of Stephen King works by Frank Darabont (The other two being of course, The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile) * Midnight Mass (2021) - another Netflix series (7 eps) by Mike Flanagan (Haunting of Hill House) Both this and The Mist have incredible character writing. Mass is less scary I'd say than Hill House, but it's Flanagan, so bring some tissues. * The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) - Still the greatest horror movie ever made IMO * An American Werewolf In London (1981) horrifying and funny with practical special effects that still hold up after 40 years. * Jacob's Ladder (1990) - nightmare fuel * Angel Heart (1987) - the script has a "twist" you can see coming within the first few minutes, but the visual texture from director Alan Parker combined with the acting from DeNiro, Rourke, and Lisa Bonet elevate it to one of my absolute favorites. * The Fly (1986) - Sci-fi remake of a '50s classic by Cronenberg. Definitely not gross at all. In fact, you should eat a big meal right before watching. Like maybe a lot of soup. Just gallons and gallons of chowder. * The Blair Witch Project (1999) - Curious to revisit this and see if it holds up. Really hyped by early viral marketing, but I remember really enjoying it. * The Witch (2015) - Brilliant to get to see in theatres. Draws on early American folklore.

Javier Hernandez

It Follows Get out And I would really like you to watch Quiet Place 2 to wrap up your last reaction knowing how much you enjoyed the first one.

Dan

Or another dark musical comedy, Little Shop of Horrors with Rick Moranis from Space Balls and Ghostbusters

Eivor

Us

Razor Bikini

A lot of great suggestions already but a good one I’m not seeing mentioned here is The Invisible Man. That movie does a great job creating a very palpable sense of dread throughout its runtime. Malignant is also good fun. Oh and Little Shop of Horrors is an absolute classic if you haven’t seen that.

Patrick

Titane would be an interesting reaction

Gwen

Freaky is a good comedy/horror or haunting of boy manor (2nd season of hill house but completely different story) for a tv show

LJ Mickey

gerald's game from 2017. Absolutely bone chilling

no_gary_only_zuul

I second any and all comments which have Tucker & Dale and would also like to throw psycho Goreman in the hat

Hannes

Death Becomes Her...More funny than spooky I guess. But still...

Jorge Vasquez

Killer Klowns from Outer Space Elvira Mistress of the Dark Troll 2 (not an actual sequel, don't need to see Troll) Gremlins The Exorcist The Shining Evil Dead 2 (first portion of movie is retelling of Evil Dead, you could see this without the first one) Suspiria (1977, not remake) Return of the Living Dead Re-Animator Tammy and the T-Rex Slumber Party Massacre II Black Christmas (1974) Demons

Juan Colorado

For a more scary movie I would suggest Sinister, for more comedy zombieland 2 or Tucker and Dale

Troy

Midsommar Hereditary The Witch It Follows 10 Cloverfield Lane (More suspenseful than scary. Also can't remember if you've seen this or not) The Descent The Babadook (Australian horror film) Let The Right One In Dracula (1992, Gary Oldman's performance is outstanding as Dracula) Death Becomes Her (This is one of those stupid, but funny movies) Rosemary's Baby Slither Brightburn Overlord (This is a fun one) Just a few of my suggestions😁.

Patrick Toscano

Scream, poltergeist (82), midsommer, tucker and dale vs evil

Peter Rosin

The Witch Midsommar Conjuring

Guillaume

Nope, the orphanage

Cody Steele

Pumpkinhead. It's a video store Halloween classic. Leviathan. It's a classic in line with the Thing. Hocus Pocus. Everyone loves it.

Nick

I second this one very much!

Leonardo Pandeli

Honestly the Halloween movies, start with the OG then do the 2018 sequels

Leetmouse

Yes. Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Prince of Darkness

Powers209

Anna and the Apocalypse is a great holiday movie.

Brian Jones

Good call. Glad to see Jordan getting some love. Peele gets props in my book for not only trying to do something truly original, but also doing diversity correctly in Hollywood.

LJ Mickey

I know that Hitchcock's Rear window isn't that spooky, it's more of a thriller, but it's an absolute gem with James Stewart and Grace Kelly

James Mccallum

Fresh (2022) is fun and scary and gross. The Scream series is fun and ridiculous. Kinda campy. Very meta. The Saw movies are definitely scary, but they're awful wacky movies, which makes them fun to watch if you can stand the gore. Hereditary (2018) is creepy and ICONIC. Get Out (2017) is a perfect mix of thriller and comedy IMO. The new Jordan Peele movie NOPE (2022) is also very good. With a nice mix of comedy and horror

Mytheos Holt

The Others, Hereditary, The Changeling, Sleepy Hollow, The Ring, and Pet Sematary (the original), just to name a few of my favorite spooky films. I second Monster Squad, and also suggest Elvira's Haunted Hills, which is laugh out loud hilarious.

Nico Votocci

Scream (if you want something a little lighter/funnier but still scary) or Hereditary (if you wanna be both scared and emotionally traumatized) are both great

Powers209

Hannibal Trick or Treat Dawn of the dead. Interview with the Vampire Halloween* 1&2 double feature. It's a classic The Omen The Ring The Conjuring Thinner Doctor Sleep The Mist Misery Saw The Sixth Sense Friday the 13th Let me in Hostel Hellraiser

Nick Freer

The witch, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, the hunt

Lobos625

It follows!! The autopsy of Jane doe Evil dead 2013 Scream Get out Us Annihilation

ashton

Not a movie, but if you ever need a show, the Haunting of Hill House is like the best horror show ever

David Blake

"Insidious 2" has THE BEST SCREENPLAY I EVER SEEN IN A HORROR MOVIE (but it's mandatory to watch the first movie before), "The Conjuring 2" it's very good, "Identity" (2003) has a good twist, "The Sixth Sense" and "The Others" have AMAZING twists, "The Evil Dead" trilogy (1981-1987-1992) if you wanna be scared (but with fun), "Amityville Horror" (1979) if you wanna see a true story (and the evil that surround us everyday... 😈).

Ollie

Beetlejuice!

KeithJ

Midsommar

Kelvin

Coherence The Void The Endless The Night House Nope

Game Wizard001

Casper The Haunting (1963 black and white version) Halloween Dracula: Dead and Loving It (Mel Brooks film) Young Frankenstein (also Mel Brooks) Silent Hill Crimson Peak Ghostbusters 1, 2, & Afterlife Psycho The Shining and Doctor Sleep (the sequel to The Shining) Evil Dead 2

Blake Quick

100% agree with tucker a dale that movie is so funny

Ernesto

One Cut of the Dead, it is a Japanese Zombie movie that is well worth the watch. Zombies are not Nat's thing but it is a single continues shot.

Caught in the Middle

I second Annihilation. A few very creepy scenes. Good for the chills.

Nick Freer

Those damn college kids 😂

Joshua s. Jackson

If you want Halloween comedy, the 80s movie" Monster Squad" is great, but if you horror, I have to suggest "Hereditary". That's the first movie to put a chill up my spine since I was a kid.

Cory Silver

"Ready or Not" was a cool movie about a deadly game of hide and seek. "Nope" was pretty scary. "Black Phone" Was great, really liked the child actors in it. "Spin me Round" was sort of a horror murder mystery thing. Here's a different suggestion. There's a 10 episode TV show called "From" that I am 5 episodes into that is great. It's totally a horror TV show. About being stuck in a small town with monsters that come out at night.

SaucyCircus

Stephen King's Silver Bullet The Crow Dog Soldiers The Descent The Ritual

Fostena

The Babadook, Midsommar, The Road (this one I don't know if it qualifies as horror but I think it can be very scary)

Sean Ash

Evil dead 2, and army of darkness-Sam Raimi

Kerra Rose

-Hereditary (though will admit this is not a FUN horror, it's very tragic) -It Follows (super fun horror and interesting concept!) -Mayhem (its a shudder original but it's so much fun) -Midsommar -Mandy some fun cosmic horror: -Annihilation -Color Out of Space -The Empty Man -The Void

Lauren Dignan

Please go back to the alien movies I loved watching the first one with you they are amazing!!! Also watch a quiet place 2 it's brilliant💜

sarCC

Abraham

Carrie (1970s De Palma)

Abraham

Some of the original horrors from the 20s to 50s:

Peter H

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) Annihilation (2018) very underated sci-fi / Horror movie , with a great cast

Berry

I always liked The Ring (2002), it's a really effective horror movie and Naomi Watts is amazing in it. She also stars in Mulholland Drive, which is also scary enough, not to mention a real masterpiece. But it might be better to see some other David Lynch movies first in order to get used to the weirdness :D

Nick Normann

What We Do in the Shadows (2014) Bone Tomahawk Tucker and Dale vs Evil

John Fields

NobleSon32

I said it last year but you couldnt get to it. Lovecraft Country on HBO Max was a really good horror suspense series. I know you would enjoy it!

Dexter

Hereditary, Sinister and The Conjuring would be my suggestions for well done horror movies. I see other people have mentioned it here but you also should watch IT Part 2 to finish off the story :) In terms of Horror Comedies, the best that come to mind are Scary Movie 3, and the 2013 Texas Chainsaw Massacre (3D) with Alexandra Daddario because of how GOD awful it is. Sure to bring plenty of laughs.

Mr. Every

Ain’t no one else going to recommend this but it’s still a banger and takes place on Halloween.

Matthew Shaver

Prince of Darkness (1987) Jacob's Ladder (1990) Re-Animator (1985) Cube (1997) Cronos (1994) Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) Pandorum (2009)

I suggest Silent Hill from 2006. It is my favorite horror movie of all time and it actually has a lot of emotion and feeling in it so I think you might like it in a strange way.

Heretic

A Quiet Place 2 you still haven't watched

Heretic

Tucker and Dale vs Evil for something more on the comedy side

Steve

House of the Devil (2009) or X (2022) both Ti West horror movies. He's an incredibly talented filmmaker.

Sofie

Insidious 1 and 2 the 3rd one wasn’t that scary

Eric Janssen

Let's make a resolution that this is the year we FINALLY get a few more reactors to sit down and watch "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein". And if we can do that, then getting them to sit down and watch Vincent Price in "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" might not be so impossible after all... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIyf_fLs51c

Jordan Love

Freeway (1996) with Kiefer Sutherland, Reese Witherspoon and an early appearance of the incredible Brittany Murphy.

Edward Shin

The Jordan Peele three cut combo! Hopefully Nope starts streaming by then, but start with Get Out for sure

Darryl Low

Hey Nattie G. Can't wait for more Natmares 🎃 Would like to suggest the original Halloween. The Omen, The Fly, Poltergeist and The Fog You've seen Young Frankenstein, and I would love to see you watch the original 30s and 40s Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein and Son of Frankenstein as you would spot so many references used in YF 😊 For more light-hearted scares, I suggest The 'Burbs. Take care Nat 💛

Harles

Mannygogou

THE REINCARNATION OF PETER PROUD (1975) 😮😲🙊

Boomcity

VVitch, Trick r Treat, The Cursed, Fear Street Series, Evil Dead series, The Babysitter

Alex Caudill

Midsommar, Get Out, Hocus-pocus

Opti_Frog

100% correct. The Wicker Man '73 is one of my all time favourite films.

Jordan Love

I think she should watch Troll, cause it is a good movie, but yeah, Troll 2 totally different film, the producers were just trying to capitalize on Trolls success, not a single troll in the entire movie. Nat, you should know that Troll 2 is an amazingly bad movie for multiple reasons but most incredibly the married couple who wrote and directed the movie wrote an English movie script while barely speaking the language and then not allowing the American actors to change a single line. Also, every cast member showed up to be an extra and instead got lead roles.

Andy Jordan

I'd love to see you either do the original Psycho (1960) or Hereditary.

Daniel Casillas

The VVitch The Shining Doctor Sleep It Chapter Two Get Out US The Black Phone

Benjamin Garrison

First season of American Horror Story, The Others, The haunting of Bly Manor

All very true, I definitely didn't recommend this because it's good by any means. To me this falls under the category of "so bad its almost good". Look at it as an unintentional horror comedy and it's golden

Evan Cantey

Scream and the conjuring franchises

Kayla

Hereditary, Midsommar

Śéáń

Pontypool Great movie

Red Claw

To get you a bit of relieve from scary stuff in this season I suggest Addams Family and Addams Family Values to watch for Spooktober.

Steve

Good call here.

Javier Vara

Willy's Wonderland, laughed my ass off on that one, and in the good way 😄

Troy

I second The Frighteners. If it helps any, it's by Peter Jackson.

Joseph Deiana

The Descent (for the spooks) Happy Death day (for a comedy slasher ^^)

eemersonm

The Sixth Sense! A classic horror movie that isn’t too scary but super well made. I’d also love to see you react to some Jordan Peele: Get Out and Us.

Lisa Tosti

Hocus Pocus. Not too spooky but definitely a Halloween movie.

Poltergeist. Tobe Hooper and Steven Spielberg. Could it get better?

Nathaniel Castle

Evil dead is an awesome choice Shaun of the dead Tucker and Dale versus evil

Com1xguy

The Witch, and Midsommar are some really great films if you need something scary/horrific.

Eric James

Let’s go “old school” as you’d call it. “The Howling” 1981, which stars Dee Wallace and a pretty big cast that includes Robert Picardo.

Tiger Chu

The Autopsy of Jane Doe

Mannygogou

VIDEODROME (1983) by David Cronenberg... starring Deborah Harry from Blondie and ...

Michael G. Munz

Definitely Tucker and Dale vs Evil! Also, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, and Little Monsters Little Monsters is a Hulu original.

Travis

Hereditary

Philippe Dessaints

Either Hereditary or Sinister. Both of thoses movies disturbed me

Godzilla Jones

Best time of year. You gotta watch MANDY. Everything else is pretty well covered but if you don't see Mandy, you ain't living

Choof

Hereditary, Scream, The Babadook, Insidious, The Conjuring, The Shining, Halloween

Aidan Burns

Hereditary and Tucker and Dale vs. Evil!

Brian Miller

Can't recommend Tucker and Dale vs Evil enough :-)

Mannygogou

BASIC INSTINCT (1992) starring "Hank Pym" and "Lori Quaid" and "Newman" lol

Sonia Deepak

The Others (2001) It's great!

Brandon Zepf

work a customer service job for a day and live stream it. lol

Ross Stewart

Hereditary, sinister, midsommar, us, get out, the shining and doctor sleep,

Green Nolan

I'm not a big horror guy but I liked: "The others" and "skeleton key" because they didn't depend on jump scares and have an interesting story and ending

Josiah Truax

Agree with everyone else on a few picks. Specifically The entire Evil Dead series, and Ready or Not. Also recommend: The Final Girls (an emotional horror comedy about family), Oculus (one of the scariest movies I've seen), Hell House LLC (my favorite found footage horror movie), IT Chapter 1, and honestly the entire Halloween franchise.

Jeff

Pumpkinhead

Mannygogou

THE INVISIBLE MAN (2020) ...oh I can just imagine the reaction... 😉

LionBro

Classic Tim Burton, i.e. Beetlejuice/Sleepy Hollow, or Peter Jackson's comedy horror, The Frighteners.

Jason Gillman

Don’t think anyone recommended Drag Me To Hell yet so I’ll throw that in there. I’ll parrot my other suggestions - Tucker and Dale Vs Evil, Evil Dead 2, The Terminator, The Black Phone, Annihilation, Happy Death Day, Freaky, Ready or Not, Dawn of the Dead (Original 1978), Videodrome, Doctor Sleep

Xavier Rojas

Train to Busan, Don’t Breath, or Scream.

minuteforce

A lot of my favourites have already been mentioned so I'll throw in 2007's "REC"

Jules

It Chapter Two!

Delaney Novo

some of my faves are: Signs E.T Gremlins the fear street trilogy

Nogusta

Let Me In

Erik Stevenson

For a bit of Werewolf fun, Ginger Snaps and/or Dog Soldiers!

Luis Camacho

The Conjuring The mist Train to Busan

Logan Kerlee

While I love The Predator it's definitely more just an action sci-fi flick. Shouldn't be considered for Spooktober or whatever. Isn't horror themed at all. Yeah, it has some freaky bits but it isn't horror.

Jordan Bishop

Eraserhead if you want an absolute nightmare.

Jomero

Frighteners. Spooky and funny and a pre-LOTR Peter Jackson

Ruler

Hereditary, Get Out

Eric Janssen

Since the comments move so quickly, I'll bump the discerning recommendations for - Videodrome and - The Ghost & Mr. Chicken

Danny boy

Scream movies, prey/predator movies, alien/aliens, and nope are all great. But above all those movies is train to Busan you will enjoy that one!

Brian Leonard

Not a movie, but a special on Disney+ beginning on Oct 7...Werewolf by Night

Logan Kerlee

The Terminator is my favorite movie. Out of everything out there, that's #1 for me. I'd love it if she chose to watch it! :)

Troy

Let the Right One In

—thoughtstorms—keith—

Sean of the Dead! Signs, Tucker and Dale, Frighteners, Beetlejuice, Oculus (haven't seen yet), Get Out!, Nope, and the best horror comedy since the big bang: Young Frankenstein! (Videosrome would be interesting, as an antique - like myself.)

Brandon

The Mist

Gerard

Midsommer and Hereditary

Hunter

The cabin in the woods! Horror/scary with comedy sprinkled in. It was done by Joss Whedon who directed the first avenger movie 😁

abz

The Love Witch

Michael S. Mammano

My Boyfriend's Back is top-shelf camp. It's a romantic comedy about a guy that comes back from the dead to keep a prom date. It's also the movie that taught me about true love. I maintain that if it weren't for all the cannibalism and borderline necrophilia, it would be one of the most celebrated love stories of all time.

SLAPAPOW

Happy Death Day! It's horror, but super fun!

Narutoanime16

Constantine, Conjuring, Halloween

Daniel Turner

Hello! First comment. The Conjuring 1 or 2? They’re both great.

Declan Molloy

Hi I'm Tom

Zombieland 2, American Psycho, Happy death day, Scary movie, Shaun of the death, The voices, Misery, The last house on the left, Vacancy, Last night in soho

Edgar Guzman

Lost Boys, Monster squad I believe I've mentioned before. Both are 80's movies.

Andrew Becker

NBCs Hannibal. Creepy and fantastic! It would be amazing to rewatch along side you videos!

Brandon Avery

Black Swan (not necessarily an exact horror, but definitely a psychological thriller) Get Out Us The Babadook Scooby Doo (the one with Sarah Michelle Geller) Adams Family (the live action ones with Anjelica Huston and Raul Julia) Adams Family Values Ma (this one is kinda funny scary, but I think it’s meant to be scary( Paranormal Activity (the first one is fine) The Boy

Chad Ingram

The Shining or The Ring.

Brent giesbrecht

The 1st paranormal activity would be fun for viewers if you havent seen it (though you may have a panic attack lol).

Sarah P

Attack The Block — fun, scary, and set on November 5th!

Shannon Turner

You should definitely continue your Mike Flanagan experience with The Haunting of Bly Manor. It's not as scary as Hill House and it's another beautifully crafted story you'll really enjoy

Ana Fox

The Hills Have Eyes (2006), Wrong Turn (2003), Scream (1996), Perfection (2018), should I keep going... 😅

Ang

Trick r' Treat, Alien, Get Out, Halloween(the original), Cabin in the Woods, The Thing, Signs

Casey Walker

Hellraiser, Scream, and the original Candyman

Mike Hell

A lot of good ones already listed, so how about The Void and Haunt

Vinny Vinegole

Lol meet the blacks 😂 it's stupid but funny

Mike Hell

Oh and also if you're gonna add another spooky show, i highly recommend continuing the Mike Flanagan train going with Midnight Mass, which I thought might be his best yet.

Ang

Also Black Swan is more of a thriller than horror but I absolutely recommend it as well.

diego martinez

for horror comedies: AMERICAN PSYCHO (2000) HOUSE (1977) for regular horror: THE LIGHTHOUSE (2019) ERASERHEAD (1977) CLIMAX (2018)

Richard Flores

Wait, did you already watch "It Follows"? Good heavens, that right there is the thing. That thing there. Watch "It Follows".

Ang

For a comedic horror you can't go wrong with Tucker and Dale versus Evil. Such an underrated gem.

Ang

Agreed. Skip Bly and just go straight to Midnight Mass.

Stephen Lewis

Tucker and Dale vs Evil (my #1 horror comedy pick) Evil Dead movies Army of Darkness Bram Stokers Dracula Beetlejuice Ghostbusters Predator (scfi/action with a pinch of horror) The Shining Misery Pet Cemetery Arachnophobia Tremors1 & 2

diego martinez

love david lynch, & that one is his magnum opus

Darchangel

Would be surprised if you haven't seen this, but Coraline. Or Corpse Bride.

Dub

Hereditary Midsommar American Psycho Get Out Us

Siti Dee

Scary: Gerald's Game Funny: What We Do In The Shadows (2014 film! Not the series)

David Weinstein

Tucker and Dale versus Evil is a thing of beauty. Funny and very much in the spirit of the season. Also: The Frighteners - Great atmosphere, clever and funny, also touching. Slither - Same as Frighteners. Attack the Block - Great story, great construction. Definite winner. The Mist - Amazing story, based on a Steven King work. Not the happy/funny kind. Buckle in it will be a hell of a ride.

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

Zombieland, Tucker & Dale vs Evil,Ghostbusters,Happy Death Day,Beetlejuice,Death Becomes Her, The Addams Family

David Nesbit

Black Phone Studio 666 The Cursed BATTLE ROYALE ( 2000 ) Japanese film

kmaphe

Tucker and Dale vs Evil Midnight Mass (a single-season show on Netflix)

Skizane

Army of Darkness is the funniest movie you'll find on this list. It is hilarious from the first minute to the last.

Penguin

My favorite horror comedy: One Cut of the Dead. All you need to know is that it’s a Japanese zombie comedy (it has subtitles, just a heads up). Beyond that I recommend going into it totally blind.

Daniel McGuinness

To name a few essential Classics/Modern Classics: Halloween (1978) Scream The Ring Trick r Treat I Know What You Did Last Summer The Descent All vary from a fun time to terrifying 😂 can’t wait for Natmares!

Derrick Shackelford

Well maybe Legend starting Tim Curry and a very young Tom Cruise and the conjuring and conjuring 2

Messy Mermaid

Here’s a few “older” choices which I think would be really fun to react to. Witches of Eastwick, Death Becomes Her. For something darker, you could go with Poltergiest or the original Pet Sematary.

Jeff

Spontaneous (black comedy and horror)

Ana Fox

Yes!; (edit: but Nat has already watched most of those: Alien, The Thing (the original) and Cabin in the Woods. Signs I don't remember, so I would vote that one if she hasn't, plus Get Out,, Halloween, Trick r' Treat!)

PickettsChargingPort

tucker and dale is a good choice if you are looking for comedy/horror

Walter Lopez

Fright Night (1985), Let the Right One In (Swedish version), You're Next, The Guest, The Invitation (2015), Trick r Treat, The Gift, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Cloverfield, 1408, Split, Dead Snow, Buried, Hereditary (Must See)

Us & Prey (if u count the Predator movies as horror) that's all I got.

Opti_Frog

Best zombie movie of the last decade, and i say that as someone who it more or less burned out on zombies 😄

Opti_Frog

Dang it, i forgot Drag Me to Hell. I need to find my comment so i can edit it. 😄

#1 Mandatory Spooky Season Viewing 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 → TRICK 'R TREAT (the best film ever made ABOUT Halloween) (↑ also falls into both of the categories below) Scary / Straight-up Horror 😱😱😱😱😱 → THE STRANGERS → SINISTER Fun, Funny, Good Times 🧙🏻‍♀️🧙🏼‍♀️🧙‍♀️😂😁🍹🍾 → HOCUS POCUS (my fav Halloween movie of all-time) → HOCUS POCUS 2 (new sequel - Coming to Disney+ Sept 30th) (us crazy fans have only been waiting 29 years for this!) → PRACTICAL MAGIC

Sean Maher

Mama (2013) was very good. But my number one pick that has quickly become one of my favourite Autumn watches is the Netflix mini-series Midnight Mass. It's the same director (and some of the same actors) as The Haunting of Hill House. It's scary, but not as scary as Hill House. And, in my opinion, it's at least twice as dramatic and heartbreaking. I know you'd absolutely love it. It's got a perfect Halloween atmosphere.

Andrew Minton

The Mist & The Strangers for sure.

Mario

What Lies Beneath (2000)

Marty McGee

Not really into the ultra scary stuff, but love some of the more lighthearted. Stuff like Zombieland, Happy Death Day, Shaun of the Dead, and Scary Movie 1 would get my votes. Hope you had a wonderful wedding and a relaxing break!!

Kiskotagan

Slither (2006). It’s not a great movie, I just want to see a reaction to it 😅

RationallySassy

Ready or Not World War Z Get Out The Black Phone Circle You're Next Happy Death Day

Jose Zamora Orellana

I would be extremely excited for you to watch The Good Son (1993) starring Elijah Wood and Macaulay Culkin when they were kids. Crazy underrated psychological horror movie. On your watch through of Jessica Jones, the terror of Kilgrave made me reminisce.

Brad Velky

I would say try out: Sinister ( great tension) [REC] / Quarantine The Fear Street Netflix series ( 3 episodes) Idle Hands (funny)

Johnny

Tucker. Dale. Evil. Damn college kids.

Ben Wheeler

It Follows, OG Halloween, The Halloween Tree, Sleepy Hollow, House On Haunted Hill (but the original with Vincent Price), Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein 🤣 The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (Don Knotts)

jamie jones

The Shining and its sequel doctor sleep.

David Crabtree

Scary: Paranormal Activity. Funny: The Burbs

Joe M

An American Werewolf in London, or Tucker & Dale vs Evil (or Evil Dead 1 & 2 from the 80's)

Taylor Malik

"Scary movie 1" if you haven't seen it!!

blkmage

Tucker and dale v evil

Mastervodo

I was coming here to put this exact movie down! Absolute classic! Nat would love it!

Mastervodo

YaY Prince of Darkness! Sad it would get crushed under Tucker and Dale in any poll. Tucker and Dale is good though too - just different genre.

Brandon Hinton

The scream movies are pretty good for that horror comedy

KamikazeCDN

It Follows Sinister Insidious

Manny Maz

Scream, The Conjuring and Tucker and dale vs evil. Or the Evil Dead franchise since it covers scary/horrific/comedy categories.

NFXx

For horror comedy like a lot of people have mentioned Tucker and Dale and Evil Dead 2. You can skip the first Evil Dead since the 2nd film kinda goes over it. I would love to see you do my favorite film of all time Killer Klowns from Outer Space. It’s not really scary but it’s such a fun film to watch. You should probably continue with It Chapter 2. Nightmare on Elm Street or Halloween (1978) for a slasher film. The Mist or The Descent for a monster film. The Conjuring or Insidious for Supernatural horror. Silent Hill for a video game adaptation film, one of the better game adaptations.

Mastervodo

Hey Nat! Yes you! Hello you! I would love to see you watch John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness (1987) I think if you liked The Thing (1982, Kurt Russell) you would also really like this. Cameo by Alice Cooper. But - I fear this would be crushed in any poll since it is an older movie and not as many people will have seen it. Tucker and Dale should just be watched this year, clearly, and not on a poll. It's just overwhelmingly being asked for. Also - you are a fan of Sam Rami and have not watched any of the Evil Dead movies with Bruce Campbell? This is a sin!

Magnus Thor Magnusson

Scrooged Dead Silence Poltergeist (Original) The Excorcist The Ring Bram Stoker's Dracula Interview with the Vampire The Mummy (1999) Warm Bodies

PickettsChargingPort

That's an interesting pick. It's an unusual movie but it's one I suggest horror fans at least see.

Trevor S Bright

--For effects, soundtrack, & horror-comedy...I'd go with "An American Werewolf in London". --For more classic slasher, I'd do "Friday the 13th". --For a good ol' horror-comedy, I'd go with "Beetlejuice". --For a haunting & more Gothic ghost story, I'd go with "Candyman". --If you wanna do a classic Stephen King, I'd go with the OG 1976 "Carrie"...I'd imagine Nat might like the more John Wick parts of the film.

Travis Starnes

Paranormal Activity, The Ring, Evil Dead 2 (You should be okay watching it wihtout the first one), 28 Days Later, Scream (I can't remember if you've done this one)

Daniel Drew

lol with 460 comments, I think most things have been suggested XD

Daniel Drew

For a single movie I recommend Tarantino’s Dusk till Dawn or the series The Haunting of Bly Manor

These are all suggestions that I know would appeal to your appreciation of good filmmaking. All top tier: Mandy (2017) The Lighthouse (2019) The Witch (2015) It Follows (2014) Hereditary (2018) Midsommar (2019) The Lost Boys (1987) Invisible Man (2020)

Myles Away

Two of my favourites. Brilliant films

Myles Away

She reacted to that one. It's a good one

Bryan Burleson

Lots of good suggestions already. Rob Zombies 31 George A Romero’s The Dead Series - Night,Dawn,Day,Land,Diary and Survival. Freddy Vs Jason for some fun World War Z Killer Klowns from Outer Space The Descent Dead Alive The V/H/S collection (highly recommended)

Ethan Plumer

Don't know if you've seen Gremlins, it's a classic, though maybe you could wait until Christmas as it is a Christmas/horror/comedy movie all in one.

César

"The Fog" is a really good option, Alfred Hitchcock is a genius, also "The Rite" with Anthony Hopkins wow, that was a good movie, and finally "Constantine" great horror film with Keanu Reeves and the magistral talent of Peter Stormare.

BigHatMatt

Trick R Treat is a fun spooky season movie.

Some lighter, off-beat suggestions: Coraline - Stop motion, young adult horror. I love it. Creative, creepy, good visuals My Boyfriend's Back - Just a personal favorite for comedy horror. As he dies, awkward teen asks the popular girl to the prom and because he's dying, says yes. Then he comes back as a zombie to take her to prom.

Jonathan Roberson

Really think you should do The Conjuring series this Halloween, it’s only 3 movies but I think you’d appreciate it

Nathaniel Wolf

here is a few horror comedy movies that I really enjoyed. Slither, Cooties, Tucker and Dave vs. Evil, and Scouts Guide to the zombie apocalypse.

Jamie

X is a little gratuitous at times but its a good watch!

Jamie

oh definitely nope or us!

Richard Maurer

I can support this. Thankfully you actually picked a Comedy Horror instead of a horror comedy. The difference being that horror comedies always suck.

Andy Lerner

The Final Destination movies are a great watch! First one is very fun, and only moderately scary. Also, everyone thinks I'm crazy but I maintain that Jurassic Park is technically a horror movie. The heroes have no defense and no weapon against the vicious killers chasing them, You run or you die. Also just an excuse to watch more Jurassic Park.

Tesh

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil

JPOlsen

I'm not a massive horror person but I really liked the movie "IT"

DarthChef

O.J. Goldstein

For comedy horror, the best are Evil Dead 2 and Dead Alive.

Nathaniel Wolf

I'm sorry I have to disagree with you there, that was such a shit movie. He was almost as bad as Master of Disguise.

Soccerdmon

Happy Death Day, Happy Death Day 2U, Anna and the Apocalypse, The 'Burbs, Ready or Not, Slither, Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, 28 Days, 28 weeks later to name a few...

Wow! So many great ideas already! Here is my list of spooky suggestions: Halloween (1978) IT Chapter 2 (2019) IT Miniseries (1990 with Tim Curry) The Shining (1980) + Doctor Sleep (2019) Trick R Treat (2007) Misery (1990) Us (2019) Scream (1996), Scream 2, Scream 3, Scream 4 The Blair Witch Project (1999) Psycho (1960) Fear Street Series (2001) What We Do In the Shadows (2014) Happy Death Day (2017) The Haunted Mansion (2003) Creepshow (1982) Zombieland Double Tap E.T (1982) The Adams Family (1991) Hotel Transylvania (2012) Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) Little Shop of Horrors (1986) I think I got a little carried away with my list 😅

Tarquin Pillay

the conjuring movies are always good horror picks, The Annabelle Trilogy is also excellent and fun, " The Visit" is also good, "As Above, So Below" is another good pick, "Get Out" and "Us" are outstanding movies aswell (If you haven't seen them already) and "The Cabin In The Woods" is a good satirical movie that still is a good horror film. the newer Halloween movies are really good slashers. The Fear Street trilogy is enjoyable but it is a bit predictable. Midsommar and Hereditary are good psychological horror movies. "Dont Breathe" and "The Strangers" are good home invasion type movies

Jenčke Patrik

Hotel Transylvania 1, Hotel Transylvania 2, Hotel Transylvania 3, Van Helsing 2004

Feed Gods

All the suggestions above + The mist (2007) !!!

Oshane Braham

IT chapter 2 or any Jordan peele movies

PlayfulPB

Not a movie, but I'd LOVE if you did Haunting at Bly Manor....would be a great companion to your "Hill House" reaction last year

Gilbert Gonzalez

Not too big on scary stuff, but I might have a few lol Day Shift(Netflix 2022), more action/comedy but with creepy vampire imagery lol Dragonfly(2002), supernatural suspense/thriller, little spooky and creepy, would love to see your reaction to the ending. Red Eye(2005), more of a thriller but directed by Wes Craven (Scream, nightmare on elm street) Don’t Breathe 1 & 2, Overlord(2018), Underworld franchise, Blade movies, Legion(2010), Hellboy 1 & 2, maybe Drive Angry(2011): supernatural but more of an action movie lol, Anaconda, Congo, Daybreakers.

Aaron Davies

Tucker and dale vs evil . The mist , the descent, 28 days later , 28 weeks later , dog soldiers.

Marty McGee

I Know What You Did Last Summer - moderately scary, mostly cheesy 90's teen stuff

Mannygogou

SPHERE (1998) Dustin Hoffman, Samuel L Jackson, Sharon Stone, Liev Schreiber, from a novel by Michael Crichton. Spooky? Oh yeah...

MovieGist

1. Coraline. Natalie you really MUST react to Coraline. It's the spookiest "kids' story" ever brought to screen. And the stop-motion animation is simply a delight to watch. 2. Get Out. Because you simply must at some point. Jordan Peele's first (and best imo) 3. Ready Or Not. Perfect for newly weds (evil laughter) 4. Fallen. Because Denzel Washington. 5. Devil. Cause no one has mentioned this yet and it's one of M Night's best imo 6. Trick R Treat. Because Halloween.

MovieGist

Ha! Get Out would be fun!

MovieGist

Yes to Coraline!

MovieGist

Get Out would be perfect.

MovieGist

Yes, yes, and yes!!!

MovieGist

Trick R Treat's a classic tbh

Lee McD

The Gift (from 2000, not the 2015 one). Directed by: Sam Raimi Written by: Billy Bob Thornton, Tom Epperson Starring: - Cate Blanchett - Giovanni Ribisi - Keanu Reeves - Katie Holmes - Greg Kinnear - Hilary Swank

Lee McD

Also The Frighteners, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Ring, Jennifer's Body, It Follows

MovieGist

Yes to Coraline! And Jennifer's Body. Nat's already reacted to the entire Cornetto trilogy so Shaun of the Dead's covered (good recommendation though). I'd add Trick R Treat and Get Out to this already amazing list. Though imo Warm Bodies wasn't exactly horror.

MovieGist

Lost Boys is a classic!

Jamiya

Fear street trilogy

MovieGist

The Others was good. Loved the ending.

MovieGist

She's done A Quiet Place but not the sequel.

MovieGist

Most definitely Get Out.

MovieGist

Coherence would be lovely though I didn't really think it was horror.

MovieGist

Ready or Not... just perfect for new brides (evil laughter follows)

MovieGist

Get Out would be a great start. Us would probably freak Nat out completely.

MovieGist

Possibly the scariest thing on Netflix

MovieGist

Nat's already seen 2 of those.

Steven

Vampire’s Kiss starring Nicolas Cage

Steven

Audition-1999 Japanese horror

MovieGist

For a movie with no supernatural aspects, Don't Breath was a lot scarier than I expected.

MovieGist

Just wondering Nat's going to sieve through all the recommendations. Got here at over 500 comments and still added mine!

MovieGist

The original 1992 Candyman please. Not this atrocity from 2021.

MovieGist

Just throw in Trick R Treat or Coraline and this would be the perfect list!

Chaz Mannington

The scariest movie I’ve ever seen was the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Granted, I was 8 at the time, but I stand by my opinion. Watch the tunnel scene and call me wrong. I dare you.

MovieGist

This. Or she could just go full on Blair Witch Project. The OG of found-footage horror.

MovieGist

If only for the after credits scene (lol)

Constantine (action/horror) The Exorcist (horror classic) Psycho (horror classic) Paranormal Activity (horror) Tucker & Dale VS Evil (hilarious comedy) PS Hope your wedding was amazing! Welcome back! (if you are back, idk)

warcrimes

James Ward

The Evil Dead trilogy or Gremlins

Midnight Mass

themightyabe

The Babysitter on Netflix is a fun romp and definitley falls into the comedy horror genre. Maybe not as great of a movie as others on this list, but it's decent.

Herms

"The Shining" and "Doctor Sleep" "What we do in the shadows" (vampire comedy. There's a movie and a series with the same name, both are hilarious)

Rhys

She already did IT but would be awesome for her to do the sequel :)

Eric Trinidad

It Chapter 2 It Follows Evil Dead (2013) Annihilation Prey (Predator 1 and 2 if you haven’t seen, watch these first) What they do in the shadows

Daniel Andersen

A quiet place 2 and some more Hannibal movies wouldnt go amiss

Alex Buell

Trick 'r Treat would be great!

Katie Kiesel

I'd love an excuse to watch The Babadook again!

Blkm44

Trick r Treat is one of my favorite Halloween movies.

Jan Sørensen

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. -Sleepy Hollow. -The Frighteners. -Christine 1983. -Sometimes They Come Back 1991. -

David Trumble

So, obviously I'm gonna be biased with this, but on October 28th the stop-motion film "Wendell & Wild" will debut on Netflix. It's directed by Henry Selick (who directed "Nightmare Before Christmas" which Nat has already watched on this channel) and co-written and co-starring Jordan Peeele, who's made more than a few horror films that will be making the rounds in these horror polls. It's also a film that I storyboarded on. Obviously no obligation, but just putting it forward as it's a bit of spooky animation fun that's not too disturbing and we're all very proud of it. But that's just me!

David Trumble

And, while I'm at it, I'll throw in a vote for Selick's other great spooky stop-motion film, "Coraline", and make it a Selick reaction trilogy.

Daniel Ketchum

The Mummy (1959) by Hammer Films with a young Christopher Lee (LOTR) and Peter Cushing (Star Wars)

Adam Doyle

The Final Destination series, Sleepy Hollow (1999), Event Horizon, Trick R Treat

RustafanX

Would like to see some follow-up/sequels to things we have started on before, like: - It Chapter Two (2019) - A Quiet Place 2 - Zombieland: Double Tap If we are looking for a series, i would love to see "The Haunting of Bly Manor" (a self contained story over 1 season from the same creator of "The Hauntinf of Hill House", with some of the same actors). The first season of "American Horror Story" would also be good (another anthology series with a new story every season, with some of the same actors coming back in different roles). Both of these should also be universally available on respectively Netflix and Disney+. 🎃🎪🧛‍♀️🦇

Kyle

For a Horror comedy, I would for sure go Tucker and Dale VS Evil

Mr Booligan

Both the “A Quiet Place” movies are amazing, mostly thrillers with horror elements but I’d love to see you react to them. If you’re looking for pure horror the Conjuring movies are good

Mr Booligan

I wanna see A Quiet Place 2

Fredrik Bekkerud

The Conjuring movies and Insidious are all great horror movies.

Byron

This is a solid choice.

History Nuggets

I think you'd really enjoy the Fear Street trilogy from 2021.

Alan Felicia

LOL! Refuse to watch The Exorcist the remastered version w/ the added spider crawl scene

SNAFU

Bubba Hotep, the Shining, Event Horizon, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, The Birds, Psycho, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Darkman, Evil Dead Trilogy

Myles Away

Annihilation is brilliant. Super underrated film

Myles Away

A perfect double feature

Thomas Yanez

That's always a crowd pleaser... well, the reactions to it, I mean.

Art_Donaldson

GET OUT, It follows, Midnught Mass (mini series) or Coraline!!

Megatto

The Addams Family movies from the 90's

Nathaniel Wolf

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I thought It follows was one of the worst horror movies I've ever seen. Hell it is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. At the very least it had the most stupid premise for a horror movie.

Vidcutter

Evil Dead (2013)

Jenny Tolls

613 comments holy shit lmao there’s no way she’s gonna get through that lol

Bryan Lopez

Man, you just wanna torture her don’t you? 😅

Bryan Lopez

That being said, I love the movie and think you should give it a shot Natalie z

Kevin Bartelen

Idle Hands, horror comedy with Seth Green

Richard Maurer

You two are definitely in the minority, no further comments needed.

Richard Maurer

Most of the greats have been suggested. Most of the horror movies? Not even close.

Richard Maurer

I would start with Horror of Dracula (with the same two stars) if you're going to do Hammer Studios' films.

Richard Maurer

That would be a loooooooong Halloween. I'm down for it!

Richard Maurer

Decent suggestions - except D:D&LI. Much of it only makes sense if you've seen Bram Stoker's Dracula, and even then only a couple of scenes are actually funny.

bryon wilcock

Stir of echoes staring Kevin Bacon

Opti_Frog

Silent Hill is an actual underrated movie.

Jobard

No one asked you

eemersonm

Don't know if you're planning to do a series for Natmares again but please continue watching Mike Flanagan's shows. The Haunting of Bly Manor is easily my personal favorite of his so far as it leans more into the gothic horror subgenre. Hope you watch it - it's his least scary of the three shows he's released so far so you'll appreciate that ;)

Christopher Boscarino

I'll suggest it but it probably won't make the poll, Brian De Palma's Phantom of the Paradise. I saw this at the age of 10 right after it was released and I still hear "Phoenix!" in my head sometimes...

Cody Cromarty

It: Chapter 2. You've already watched half of the story and it gets even bigger and sadder

ㅋ

Conjuring 1/2 is great, scouts guide to the zombie apocalypse is pretty funny if you don’t want to watch something too serious, or it’d be cool to see you watch all the saw movies in order

DaniMoxi

Happy Death Day or Freaky are two fun horror comedies

Alberto Ramirez

Not really a horror film, but The Guest (2014) is a great thriller that takes place around Halloween. If you're looking for a show to watch, check out Midnight Mass. One of the best recent horror series.

TheDude

The Shining, Prisoners, Hush, Oculus, It Follows, Scream, Paranorman, The Changeling, A Quiet Place Part 2, Rear Window, Enemy, Donnie Darko, It Chapter 2, Joy Ride, REC, and Disturbia.

Mannygogou

what is the record for how many comments? 🙂

Ben Hooppell

Oops you’re right :/ I agree, the sequel would be great!

jamie jones

Finally someone wth a brain not saying skip evil dead 1.

Chuck Eberhart

One of the most underrated horror flicks of all is In The Mouth Of Madness, great movie, great cast.

Scott Limp

HAPPY DEATH DAY is actually really funny AND makes you jump. Absolutely needs to be on a poll

Cameron

The Fright Night remake is fun. Haven't been a member of this channel for long so I don't know if you've already watched it.

Jason Welzin

I haven't gone through all the comments to see if this was already mentioned, but the original Night of the Living Dead is public domain

Warren Van Wyck

Goosebumps. A fun, less intense “scary” movie with Jack Black!

DJ KASE

There is an insane amount of suggestions here so Ill just say one. A Quiet Place 2 cause the reaction on the first one was to good,

David Free

That movie was amazing, I totally agree

Noctis

Hereditary, Get Out, The Conjuring series. for older horror movies, The Shinning, Creepshow, Dawn of the dead (you could also watch the Zack Snyder Remake, but the commentary made in the original is just something no one should miss). Also 28 days later.

Miss Timi Fantastico

Spree! The actors are amazing and there are so many strange and interesting camera shots!

Peter Jones

Hellraiser is classic, and it's a pretty big series of movies if you want to dive iinto it.

Peter Jones

I also really love "Let me in" It's classified as a romantic horror, and stars Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloë Grace Moretz.

Jimin Yang

(Hacksaw Ridge) Not "spooky" but a heavy emotional one

Aaron

Fallen(1998), not a classic horror jump scare movie, but creepy af.

Ant Gee

Ex Machina

Ant Gee

Annihilation

Ant Gee

Hereditary, Get Out

Anonymous

The Changeling directed by Peter Medak scared the shit out of me as a kid i refuse to open the dvd i bought of it in 2011.

Bec Watson-Tollis

Hush is a great suspense movie that would be funny to watch you watch 😂

Leo Stokke

House of dragons, plzzz it’s really good

AJ Miller

A Quiet Place Pt. 2, Get Out, Nope

Joshua Hayden

‘From Dusk Til Dawn’ is bloody good fun.

Richard Maurer

Not a horror movie but I do hope she watches it soon.

Pokeysaurus

You da real MVP. Adding votes for Tucker & Dale, The Conjuring, Happy Death Day, The Mist, Insidious.

Taff Lewis

Red Band Trailer, might be the scariest Trailer ever?

Taff Lewis

The Howling Dog Soldiers Ginger Snaps 28 Days Later As above so below Conjuring Quarantine [for Dexter fans], Rec1, Rec 3 Return of the Living Dead 2 Autopsy of Jane Doe High Tension

Jorgalorg

The Descent, ParaNorman, Event Horizon

Ben Ranson

+1 for Dog Soldiers, absolute classic.

Steve SG-1

The Fly (1986) would be a epic reaction.

Carly

Freaky!! it's more funny than it is scary

Richard Maurer

Getting close to 700 comments......even closer now. And I know Natalie doesn't like zombie movies, but I still recommend Train to Busan, a great movie over all.

DMON

I'm going to throw happy death day out there. It's worth the watch.

Richard Maurer

Nice to see 4 of my picks are over 20 and 3 are over 10. The only 3 I didn't like seeing are Scream, Insidious (both highly overrated), and Hocus Pocus (not a horror movie).

Michael Riley

Conjuring Bly Manor Midnight mass Jeepers Creepers

Richard Maurer

Prefer Let the Right One In - the original swedish version.

Richard Maurer

No, absolutely not. I'd rather have Hocus Pocus win.

Cripkie

"The descent" is a pretty terrifying first watch. creature horror ways gets my heart rate going.

Sylvaine Glenn

For scary films I would suggest Trick R' Treat(2015), The Omen(1976), The Craft(1996) and Don't Be Afraid of the Dark(2010). For more light-hearted fare I would recommend, What We Do in the Shadows(2015), The Witches(1990), and The Monster Squad(1987).

Taff Lewis

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

Liam Nissan

Can we maybe get Addams Family 1 and 2 on here as pallette cleansers?

Richard Maurer

The Void is a great, lesser-known movie. Unfortunately the lesser known part would keep it from winning a poll.

Michael MacDonagh

Not really particularly a Halloween themed film... but you should watch John Carpenter's Big Trouble in Little China.

Sanman220

It Follows is one of the few horror movies I like, although I did just see Barbarian and I enjoyed that too.

Garrick Smalley

The Keep (1983) Nazis are forced to turn to a Jewish historian for help in battling the ancient demon they have inadvertently freed from its prison.

Garrick Smalley

Phantasm (1979) A teenage boy and his friends face off against a mysterious grave robber, known only as the Tall Man, who employs a lethal arsenal of unearthly weapons.

John

The Conjuring, REC (original foreign language film), the Ring

Kevin Mowery

Happy Death Day Ready Or Not Tucker & Dale vs. Evil Bram Stoker's Dracula Slither Attack the Block

Mannygogou

Often you can count the number of likes as well because it means there's interest n that title instead of folks retyping the same suggestion. If the comment has more than one title listed the likes are divided in fractions between them lol

kenneth radd

The Transfiguration (2016) - shamefully underrated The Descent Happy Death Day Brand New Cherry Flavor

kenneth radd

Didn't even occur to me, but solid suggestion

kenneth radd

You will not be saved by the god plutonium

RationallySassy

Scream (1997), Get Out (2017), The Black Phone (2021), Circle (2015), Fresh (2022), Ready or Not (2019), The Invisible Man (2020), Happy Death Day (2017), Tuck & Dale vs. Evil (2010), and Prey (2022 - if we count alien, I want to count this aha). Had to find my movie list recc list and edit my other comment but it's too far up so putting this here!

Craig D

mirror mask

Richard Maurer

Terrifying, didn't sleep for weeks after that one.

Skizane

The Descent is fantastic. Event Horizon has just the right blend of elements that somehow it becomes more than the sum of its parts and becomes deeply unsettling. As Above So Below was much, much better than I thought it would be going in. Unless you're claustrophobic, the whole thing is underground. It's very grim in it's implications but also has a few really good jump scares (hey, if they're good I'll acknowledge it, and in this movie they were very good).

Cripkie

true that event horizon blurs the line.

mrhalfbit

Please let’s get a The Descent viewing in. One of my all time favorites. Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, and Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead Trilogy seems appropriate after Mulitverse of Madness

Nizawach

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil would be a great watch.

Shaun Myers

“Thirteenth Ghost” 🔥🔥🔥💯

Cole

Fresh on Disney+!
