That makes me think. What if you died in a way that left your body either dismembered or just obliterated, like being blown up, eaten, or something like that. Do you just stay a spirit forever or can you pick a new body? Or does your body reset after you die when your spirit pops out? I imagine some sort of reset would have to happen because otherwise if Brook did find his body there would still be poison in it and he would likely die again. I can't think of many ways that you could be killed in One Piece that wouldn't leave your body broken or ruined in some way, given what people are able to survive xD

Yeah there needs to be a warning label for fruits like this Cause if brook fell in the water back when he was stranded, he would have just laid there for eternity in a sort of “drunken stupor”. Lethargic and delirious for all time. At least I think, cause idk if his spirit is affected by water, but I imagine it’s because the fruit alters your spirit

Funnily enough that exact situation happens to him in one of the Boss Luffy fillers. He was eventually caught by someone fishing by chance but he stayed under water for a whileee.

@Sanji Joestar If I'm not mistaken I think it's impossible for it to have been friction as he did that 10,000 meters underwater And of course this is based on real world physics and we don't know the OP planets geography and by all means I could be wrong and it could actually be air 10,000 meter underwater in the OP Planet but I just had to make that clear because a lot of people still go with the friction take

Funnily enough we were discussing this exact point in the discord chat, if you're interested the discussion is over there. But to put it simply, the anime kinda tricks us in its presentation. We see flames all the way up Luffy's arm in the anime. Whereas in the manga it's only steam. There's a section where the flames start to form and it's inside the bubble where there's air to cause that extra friction and ignite. Meaning it stays consistent with the idea of friction being combined with Gear2nd's heat. And with Sanji we've seen examples of flames burning underwater meaning they're still hot enough to not get extinguished. So the technicalities of the process can be a bit hazy but they stay rather consistent thus far in the story. (Also side note about Sanji, after the timeskip he doesn't spin to ignite Diable Jambe, he just does it, but the anime always makes him spin for stylistic reasons but that's a conversation for another day imo)

Ngl, wish Chopper’s current monster point was still kinda out of control, didn’t talk much or full sentences…maybe kind of like Hulk on the Avengers. Now it’s way less intimidating/cool. Just my opinion tho

But why would you want Chopper to train just to became a mindless beast nobody can control Idk if y'all remember but in Enies Lobby it just so happened it helped us that he defeated Kumadori but it could have been anyone else, like an ally or Franky And if Nami hadn't stolen his key prior, it would be literally lost cuz Chopper threw him over the other mainland. And even then he was lucky to not fall in the water. If he had a key we would have lost it. And the second time he used Monster Point in Sabaody he did transform just to start slamming the ground repeatedly He was literally a hindrance despite good intentions.

Not necessarily mindless, just a little more wild and aggressive but understands friend from foe. I know pre time skip was far from ideal, looked like he was going to have a heart attack but for me the current monster point just kind of takes the edge off
