Yes, as far as I understand, he is indeed in high school, but he carries himself more like a mature adult, unlike all so-called “grown-ups” around in this anime 😅

Ah if you mean like mental maturity then I see what you mean. Yea he's definitely a breath of fresh air to keep me hopeful, but I'm pretty scared about how he would handle future development like Carson said. So far this show seems to show there's always two sides to everything, like a positive and a negagive side. Shizuka and Marina - victims but also potential abusers when given the opportunity. Takopi - innocent being that knows nothing but happy emotions, but unable to truly sympathize with people who have negative emotions. Azuma - A caring and perfect student, but has such a severe inferiority complex that he's easily manipulated. To the point where he was willing to steal from his brother who has shown him nothing but kindness. I feel like the reason why these characters feel so well written are because there's always a reason for their personality and behavior. Junya is the only exception so far so I'm really afraid to find out whether he has other things going on in his mind that we don't know about yet.

Oh man I agree, I'm scared to see if Junya's character takes a turn after the revelation. I haven't been watching Boldcast's reaction to this show just cause I don't have the mental and emotional energy to watch it twice. Everytime a new episode drops I long to know what happens but also don't feel like watching it and I don't remember the last time a show has made me feel that way. This is the kind of show that's really good and impactful but also something I just cannot rewatch lol. And I'm damn scared to find out how it ends and hope it's not going to be depressing.

my fave episode. the portrayal of azuma's story and his anxiety, the pressure etc really got me.
