Sanji Joestar

In a previous episode you were talking about the way animators convey how a character is supposed to fight regarding their abilities. Which got me really excited for this final exchange because Smoker's tactic becomes immediately noticeable as something he's doing against his normal flow. And the push from Tashigi to prioritize what's important is so good.

'' I broke the gear '' TRAFALGAR RAW !!!!! The reveals of the multiple layers of his cut is in the upper tiers of my favorite parts of the story! It's just peak!!! He even said it earlier his only worry was his heart, never Vergo lmao

ImZeaT

And it did not disappoint!

FoxfireEspresso

One of my favorite shows of power in the series, up there with whitebeard tilting the sea.

Bighead

Hey just wanted to know when we can expect Orb? Edit- I might sound super rude saying this but honestly it's been quite disappointing being a patreon member as a non one piece watcher for a while now. I really do get you guys are busy and I don't expect you to post content if you have real life stuff happening behind the scenes, but maybe let people know at the beginning of the month approx how many eps of a show, and what shows we can expect so that people can subscribe appropriately. Especially given the fact that your payment is expected at the beginning of the month regardless of when you subscribed, while almost most of the reactors now just have the one month since you've subscribed mode. You guys mostly post everything at the end of the month and get our hopes up that maybe next month we'll get a better schedule but it's the same thing again while one piece is always so consistent regardless of your life. I know the one piece audience is the majority and I can see why that's the priority but still sometimes it just feels like the amount of content some of us are getting is just not worth the 10 dollars. I wouldn't be complaining if you guys at least tried to have a rough weekly schedule for patreon.

I BROKE THE GEAR!!!!

Matthew Gilroy

Doflamingo got Vergo hyped he rushed right into the room attack😂 how naive. Toei invested in the Law, Smoker and Vergo stocks during this time📈 They needed to invest in their sound design as I'm not sure what those airplane noises were as Vergo was flying towards Law✈️😂 Smoker's face after seeing Vergo's fullbody haki😱 This fight is easily better than any moment in Marineford outside of Whitebeard and Akainu's exchange. Don't even get me started on Enies Lobby (apart from Sanji vs Jabra) This fight was peak. Get all the scenes together and you can turn this into a Linkin Park AMV. It would go hard😎

Smoker gets a ton of shit from the fandom for losing all his fights in this arc, but I feel like Punk Hazard did wonders for his character despite that. That goes for Tashigi as well. They were faced with a lot of dilemmas that challenged their values and limits, just the same as Alabasta. In the end you get a more fleshed out character even if they were out of their league here.

We went from lanky ass whimsical ass designs to hakimen with thick ass necks, aura farmers and looks maxers😤 The evolution of One Piece art. I like the more serious style

I remember geeking out so hard when this episode first aired, I was blown away by how hard they were going for Smoker vs Vergo. I replayed that sequence where they were just slugging each other like boxers so many times. This is a true standout episode for me. Whenever I think of Punk Hazard my mind immediately goes to this episode more than any other. I'm glad you guys liked it as much as we did. Also good job on noticing the sliced mountains, believe it or not people don't always realize Law did all that.

Sanji Joestar

That's when characters shine in more ways than just winning a fight and i love that for so many reasons and can't see that as a real negative for his character. There's always bigger fish so tell an interesting story with that!

Szonin

This is my nothing happened moment! And this is how Law becomes the best side-character in all of One Piece.

Oussama Essamadi

What a freaking goated episode, I was waiting for this for ages man, one of my favorite episodes in the entire show and there sure were many contenders. Where do I even begin? Demon Bamboo is soooo cool, one of my favorite moves. Smoker and Vergo's fights is soo cool man, definitely one of the best fights in the entire series, even though Vergo's full-body Haki-up was anticlimactic, Law's mountain cutting move remains to be iconic and memorable, definitely the greatest sword move to date. Punk Hazard is goated and anybody who says otherwise is just hating.

Oussama Essamadi

He achieved the impossible, he wiped off the smile from Joker's face.

Oussama Essamadi

The Sanji bias is so evident. I respect it 😂

Oussama Essamadi

What do you mean, this fight WAS the Naruto vs. Pain Linkin Park AMV equivalent of One Piece.

Oussama Essamadi

Naah, Vergo's casual design is RAW on its own.

DesmaAlt Unboxing

This is such a small thing, but in the beginning of the episode (right before the title card), the studio reanimated Luffy punching Ceasar's face from last episode. It's only like a 30 second change, but it's one of my favorite parts of the episode, and a little disappointed you guys didn't see it, but nonetheless it's a great episode.

Dancing Viru

I was excited for you to react to this episode. it's 1 of my favorites, explicitly because of that last scene. Not only was Law's aura farming NOT over yet, Vergo hid his true power....of being cannon fodder to Law's aura farming xD

Someone Random

Like everyone else, I was so excited for this episode! I can’t wait for you guys to see more of Law, he’s totally my favourite non strawhat

Duffy the Nar Slayer

I remember people were like "why is Vergo so damn strong," me included. But Law calls him Doflamingo's right hand man. So he is essentially Doflamingo's Zoro, and would need to be ridiculously strong. This also shows how far Law and Luffy have come. And gives you a hint at how powerful Doflamingo is.

Whoopsie

bro became a Baki character

Capitano

Law's speech at the end got me so hyped when I was reading this in the weekly release.

Monkey bing bong

It would have been cool to see Vergo go all out but this is ultimately cooler. Showing the old farts who's been comfy sitting on their asses getting shown up by the new generation.

Mo za

Moment law became everyone's favorite twice ❤️😂

Erica Wilder Boulter

I honestly LOVE that one of Doffy's key personality traits is that he never stops smiling - because it's always so impactful and chilling (and satisfying) in moments like these where he stops because it feels like a turning point.

tavuntu

NECK PIECE HELL YEAH

SomeoneElse

You might be surprised by how many reactors don't notice Law cutting the factory or the mountains and have to be told in the comments. It's always so sad!! You guys noticed IMMEDIATELY, thank god. Good stuff 😂

fia

8:46 i feel the same lmaoo

Artemis

That was fucking crazy. The camera zooming out as you see the entire factory and mountain just cut in half by laws attack.

Artemis

so new world > pre time skip?? lol. I feel like one significant thing that has changed in the NW is the characters feel more prominent both on the side of villians and good and you get alot more siginficant character roles in the story then you did in previous early OP arcs where it was mainly the straw hat crew and alot of side characters or canon fodder types you just didn't really care much about. Here its a definite change of pace with more key players being actively involved in the story which for sure makes the narative much more engaging.
