Fujitora being drafted is correct! He was conscripted through the world military draft and then immediately promoted to fill the vacant admiral spot

You're not forgetting, this is our first look at Bonney after being confronted by Akainu 2 years ago

apathy

So the world government drafts anyone that's anyone poweful into the Navy, including criminals. It's been a source of inner conflict for the Marines throughout the story.

Mister Kap

I interpret Fujitora saying "this is what I wanted", not as him saying he wants to be banned from Navy bases or anything like that, but that he wanted this outcome with the warlord system and that he's willing to take whatever consequence he must to facilitate that outcome.

Fujitora spitting hard ! Mad dog didn't like that

The war was ended from an ethical standpoint. Shanks convinced Sengoku to end the war as the marines had already won, and there were countless pointless fodder deaths after Whitebeard had died, from both sides. Koby was trying to emphasise this if you remember the scene. The Admirals besides Akainu, as well as the Warlords, didn't care about the war anyways, so they just followed Sengoku's words. Akainu was visibly ready to take on Shanks but he is a man that follows the code and would never go against an order from someone above him in the marine hierarchy. These are the reasons why the War was ended

Capitano

Carson is right, the last we saw Bonney was her being in chains in front of Akainu.

theres an sbs that answers how the draft works. say you are in a local military like in your country’s military and you have a high rank, the world government can draft you into the international navy and you keep demote or promote your rank. that’s how issho got in.

Nah. Shanks stood in front of Akainu, sword not drawn, and said "you shall not pass!", and Sakazuki just stood there looking intimidated. Anytime they've shown us Shanks confronting any Admiral either in the show, movies, or manga they have made a point to also show that the Admiral or Admirals (plural) were at least a little bit intimidated by Shanks and the prospect of fighting him and his crew. Even Blackbeard said nah, we ain't ready yet. The only ones who weren't intimidated were Sengoku (looked unperturbed) and Garp (looked irate due his influence on Luffy) P.S. I'm not saying he can easily beat them I'm just keeping it 110 percent

"If we lose credibility just by admitting fault, we didn't have any in the first place" MMMM

All Shanks did was block an attack from a man that had 1v1d Whitebeard and his entire crew plus Jimbei, Ivankov and Crocodile. Also, Akainu never looked intimidated. We've just seen Doflamingo use his awakening, as well as the fight between Aokiji and Akainu. You REALLY think ANY warlord or admiral besides Akainu was using anything more than a fraction of their power during the war? No. They didn't care. No one else cared besides Akainu. And Akainu was ready for the smoke. Your "intimidation" argument doesn't work. The ethical and moral one makes most sense.

Fan Letter should have told you this too, showing the common marine perspective

If you have a chance, I recommend watching "Doflamingo: The Heavenly Demon" by Cj_DaChamp and "Trafalgar Law, the Donquixotes, and the Effects of Love" by MelonTeee on YT after finishing Dressrosa arc
