I recommend you watching the amazing digital circus after you finish orb, it’s an indie animated show that’s kind of popular rn!! I feel like you guys would make great discussions out of it, and you would enjoy the humor a lot too. The finale comes out on June (?) I think, so yall could jump on that hype train as well, the show is 8 eps long rn

The first episode showed a city with the text of "Early 15th Century somewhere in the Kingdom of P" and in this here episode 23 at the end we get "1468, Urban District in the Kingdom of Poland", which is super interesting and makes me a bit sad that so many comments at the start of the Orb reaction jumped the gun and were like "its fictional Poland", because this is a seemingly purposeful/curious reveal and diffrence we got. Also super neat details connecting Ep1 and Ep23: Ep1 starts with an eye-opening and 3 blood drops and Ep23 Draka Arc ends with 3 Blood Drops and an Eye-closing. Also the topic of university/academia being instantly in the forefront with Rafal and Potocki, as well as being the case with these new charachters in Ep 23. Can't wait for the final episode reactions and the discussions, because the Orb discussions are so damn good and it makes me so happy to see how much y'all love the show, charachters and themes. I knew from the start that this was a potential Carson favorite in the making and you've been cooking all the way thru the reaction series 👍

Also would be super down for an Orb Podcast discussion after some time away from the show, because I constantly re-thought and re-evaluated so many things after completing the Manga/Anime and had many diffrent thoughts/feelings compared to immediately finishing it

The deaths in this show hit so hard. Maybe it's because of how grounded the whole show feels. Every time someone dies it really feels like the end of a life, so small and sudden. Take away the dramatic music and framing and the deaths, beside maybe Nowak's, are so sudden and simple. I'm especially hit by Draka's though. The pov shot of her eyes closing and the shot of her lying against the rock really disturb me, in a good way far as like emotional storytelling, but still. Yet again more parallels from this show with Draka and Nowak as well. Both feeling like they had wasted their life in a way, one having wasted basically a whole life for what amounted to a giant lie and the other what little life they had in fear of death. Both managing to have one last moment of reconciliation with themselves, so sad but so beautiful. This show and it's characters and their parallels man, they just do something to me. I really love it.
