Sanji Joestar

Okay Master Let's kill the Roachi!

Sanji Joestar

And of course it's a Koyama episode Presentation and colors The Rakugo play was just sublime🤌🏾🔥🔥🔥

Sanji Joestar

About Pudding, Big Mom was asking Pudding when will her eye awaken already. And Pudding said she's only half three-eyed and it's not a guarantee her ability will awaken.

100Rainy

The deal with Pudding was that she hadn't awakened the power of her third eye and there was no guarantee she ever would since she isn't a pure-blooded descendant of the three eyed tribe So her potential to read Poneglyphs may or may not fully develop by the series' end

damn this ep is really great i forgot about this

tbh, one of Oda's best writing decisions in this arc is that no matter how evil Orochi and Kanjuro were, I personally always felt like the Kozuki kinda had it coming. What they did to the Kurozumi was crazy, and even though Orochi and Kanjuro kinda had it coming too, it's tragic to see how this cycle of hatred just kept going, and how the Kozuki played a massive part in it. But maybe that's just how I feel about it.

God I love Wano. YES there are still frequent pacing issues throughout, but there are so many highs during Onigashima that in retrospect the slower parts don't affect how much I loved this arc, at least for me personally, This is very early but I can't wait to hear your thoughts about this arc in general when you complete it, there's still so many great moments for you to experience!

Oussama Essamadi

Two for one. They really watered no chance to dunk on the Kurozomi name this episode.

Kenju Storm

Any chance of Edgerunners episodes?

Matthew Gilroy

Another one of those forgotten incredible episodes to history. I will always remember you. 994🫡

Miguel Nobre

Spoilers Do you think they will still like this episode after finding out they still alive ?? Me personally I love that Denjiro was the one that killed orochi

Dragon Fire

I don't know, "had it coming" is not the right choice of words. Oden, Toki, their children, the Akayaza, current people of Wano. They didn't do anything bad to them. So you saying they deserved it just because of their blood is not right. And Orochi's flaw and the reason he's evil is that he can't make that distinction. I mean, if he was taking on real revenge against the actual people that made him suffer, we wouldn't mind it that much.

2026-10-28 23:00 I get what you mean, but the persecution was still going on while people like Orochi and Kanjuro were children. You can literally see how these peopl, their parents, were just trying to live their lives, people find out they are Kurozumi and they get fricken murdered in broad daylight. That was happening while Oden's father was Shogun and he did absolutely nothing to stop it. That is horrendous and would understandably completely traumatize Orochi and Kanjuro. That's why I said the "Kozuki" had it coming. Not specific people, and not only the Kozuki but the entire land of Wano had it coming, cause the persecution of the Kurozumi showed how morally corrupt they actually were.

Sorry, got confused and thought you said the korozumi had it coming. It was wano in general who took part, Though, there definitely were many who didn't participate or have hatred for them. But it was still allowed on a widespread scale. It's an all around unfortunate situation.

Orochi is a perfect example of a very strong devil fruit with a very weak user

Coqnbauz

Just to add on to yesterday’s One Piece discussion: no theory either of you put out will EVER be worse than the absolute brainrot slop theories some of the largest One Piece creators were pushing out weekly

idziman

It is really good writing that Orochi had a similar situation as Ace did growing up, but between what they did with the life they were given shows their real character

Veritas

So I love that even though Izo was not there during the Hour of Legend or the battle before that, he rightfully takes Manjuro's place so that the Red Scabbards can be Nine again. Just like how Judas was replaced, but nobody talks about that.

2026-10-29 03:00 SPOILERS ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ive always of the opinion that if you write a character off in this fashion, then you failed as a writer. You don't just kill a character just because there not useful anymore. (thats fairy tail levels of tom foolery) I always felt that Orochi's internal strife is something tied to a deep seated grudge and century long conflict that far exceeds even kaido or big mom. When you get to the end of wano, that part is made abundantly clear. In that retrospect its understandable how he keeps propping up. Personally if it was me, i would have liked to see him exact his vengeance in some dramatic way at the end, but i guess his ancestors will definitely come out of hiding in the future. Now of course it remains to be seen if this will be carsons perspective on things. But the fact of the matter is you can't write orochi out as some insignificant worm, the writing has always been on the wall for the 'curse of the kurozumi' to be inexplicitly linked to a great catastrophe some time in the future.

Honestly, not sure if I'm in the minority here, but I really ended up liking Kanjuro's character. I think he made a great and even tragic villain and this was a satisfying end.

Albanese

"this Is the same speech as crocodile's" yeah. Sometimes it just seems One piece Is the same story over and over again and It gets boring and you feel like they're playing you (which Is probably true)

Szonin

This epsiode was really great, didn't expect it.

Murkou

We dont really know how normalized the dehumanization of the kurozumi was, do we? The show never really explained it, if I remember correctly. There wasnt any kind of reparation as well as far as we know. So I understand their hatred ̄ \_(ツ)_/ ̄
