Files have been moved to the August Download Folder If you join overnight and your join date is 9_1_2023, Look for the September download post!  .................................................................................................................................Hi,

I have a couple of small changes and 1 Addition.

-By request, there is now a head without an eye. It's funny, but I had never even considered not having an eye, but I like it equally.

-Easier Snap on head. It still holds on tight, but it should be just a little easier to put on.

-Changed the coloring on the multi-color versions. After printing an AMS version, I wasn't super happy with it. I think it's better now. ( honestly, I feel this is one print that really doesn't need multicolor )

Thanks again for the great suggestions...keep 'em comin'

-Dan

Bone rainbow by dud v2 looks amazing in these skeleton files

Karrot_Box

How long should these take to print?

Nick Roos

Love it even more without the eyes.

DroneSkinz D

That's cool, cause now I can add a metal ball bearing in the eye socket. Thanks Dan!

Nick Roos

Well that depands isn't it? Which printer? Which setting? How big?

Dan

My wife added google eyes and it was hilarious.

Dan

See below. So many factory to timing.

Coffeemade

haha, I read that as a head with only 1 eye..

Dan

HA! I guess my wording could have been better.😀

Cameron K

Ok I know I'm blind, but I don't see the base anywhere?

Jason

Thank you for this. I was afraid to say something about the eye cause I didn't want to offend you. Its so amazing to begin with. I love having the options I will print both. I do like the scarier stuff but for small kids I do see the need. This might be my new favorite print. Hope to see more dinosaurs.

Zombie Saint

Aww that's great! I did have to push slightly harder than I expected fitting the head but it wasn't that bad. Thank you 👍

3DifiedByAiden

What filament is the purple/pink Dino?

Kevin Porter

dan i don't see the base in the stl file folder please help thank you

Paige's Purlieu

I second this question!!! and the orange and yellow base filament?

akf_was_here

I have trouble making it stand, have to be very careful aligning it so the head doesn't flop to one side or the other causing him to roll to the side.

Herb Veitenhans

Well I didn't notice the eye until you pointed it out, but now that I printed both out I think I like the "natural" (no eye) one better. Thank you for the update.

Herb Veitenhans

Have you thought about adding captive magnets to your offerings? The dinosaur head would be cool as a magnet, and or the skulls for keychains. Just an idea. I don't know how to add stuff like that in the slicers, hence my question.

Deborah Ortiz

Dan has been SO great about offering BONUS designs such as keychains and magnets all the time. Just one of the reasons I LOVE his designs! I have no doubt those will be coming soon. :)

Dan

At what size and settings?

akf_was_here

Original release models (I.e. with eyes), 60% scale/ .16mm optimal settings in Bambu studio, Bambu PLA Basic. I just pulled a 75% scale, (no eyes head model but same body model) off the printer and it stands perfectly fine (same settings) though.

Dan

Sorry about that! I didn't make any changes so the file I released last weeks still works :) I added it to the folder and separately so you folks do not have to redownload the zip.

Dan

Ok thank you for letting me know. I guess the smaller ones can get a little wiggly with all the tiny links.

Kim.e.kristoffersen

im i blind or did you remove your print settings for the Trex? :S

Ginney Davison

It is on the original download post from Friday.

Kevin Porter

thank you for your help Dan !

Dan

I didn't add them to this post since it was an update for the added files. But I print at .12, 3 walls and 15% infill.

Kim.e.kristoffersen

Thank you! Not sure why i cant see or find the old post but in good now. Bit of rocky on here. sorry for the interruption

Paul G

I'm pretty confident I could escape from a blind skeleton, definitely would be more afraid of a skeleton with eyeballs. Not only could it see me but where did it get the eyeballs from? Or from who? 😲😄

Jes S

love it with no eye! amazing

FilamentsandThings

i had a similar issue on one of mine at 60% wood filament. But the others at 60% sit fine. I havent tried it putting it on a rotating pedestal yet for a photoshoot so i dont know if it will stay put on there

Robert Smith

Dan fantastic print, we need more on this theme the kids love them the Shark Croc and Trex.. well done sir.

Josh Wherry

Love this model. Just printed it at 250% with inlands white glow in the dark on my Snapmaker Artisan. Came out fantastic. It took 37 hours at .16 layer. It makes the original size look like a miniature.

Lisa Bergeron

I had a failed print but was able to use the head pieces to make a keychain. Any chance of making just a keychain of the head? Still using both bottom and top separate to snap together.

Rackley 3D Prints

Printed at 100% but the back legs are really fused in there. Completely fused on the top edge of the hip. Everything else is great just stuck back legs. Any tips to crack it? Kept wiggling like others but these don’t budge. Finally, had to carve em out. Will fix that later. Think we may have figured it out though... "Someone" clicked the "make overhangs printable" in Cura. Gonna try again.

Dan

The back leg joints? Did you use supports or accidentally move them. and curious about settings. 15% infill, 3 walls and .12 layer height???

Dan

I had not really though about a keychain. I have a little issues being excited about heads, especially "animal" heads haha. But if I get requests, I can certainly consider it. So many exciting models in my library coming down the line!!! This one needs great adhesion the smaller you go, so hope it wasn't that. Failed prints are never fun.

Rackley 3D Prints

Yes, back leg joints fused on top. Had to finally physically break them and will probably glue em and just have them fixed for now. Amazing looking model though! I’m sure it’s something on my end. 15 infill, 3 walls and .12. No supports and great adhesion to the plate. Might need to bump the nozzle temp down. Just guessing it may have sagged a little bit in that spot. Oh and thanks so much for the quick replies! Love learning all this stuff and soaking up information!

Dan

That is very interesting. The back legs have alot of space at the joints. I am curious as to why. Temp is a good guess.

chris dobson

i printed mine no problem think i did 0.2 awell all works fine

Jack from Layer Makes

Wondering if you'd be willing to release a keychain version of the head? I think people would love it!

Dan

Second request for it. Wanting to see the interest level on this. So for those reading comments, please give the nessage a heart if you want to see a Dino head Keychain:)

The Nerd Farm

Mine printed beautifully on the P1P, no issues.

Chantelle N

Literally hopped on to ask the same!

dazzcreations

would love not just keychain version but would love to see a version that could be a magnet some how would love that on several other designs too

Dan

You are allowed to add magnets as a craft modification. A magnet hole can easily be added in meshmixer if you want to dabble with that.

Lionel Tharle

Hi Dan As always great work. I was wondering with the addition of the Eyeless T-Rex, what are the chances of incorporating the eyeless look in some of the other designs? The first one that comes to mind is the shark.. What are you thoughts. Thanks

Dan

I have a little trouble going back since my new designs keep me very busy. But as time allows, I tend to make improvements and additions. So I appreciate the feedback.

@d3d_creative

I think she means just the head as a keychain/fridge-magnet 😏

Lisa Crane

Is there any secret to get the head to snap in easy? Can't seem to get one side over the piece to get it in the hole. The two that I printed I ended up breaking one side of the t-rex body and the other one I ended cracking the side of the head trying to force it. Printed it at .12 with walls set to 3. I typically don't have issues with these.

Dan

I did make the looser tolerance and it definitely shouldn't be breaking or too difficult to snap on. You put one side in and slightly push down to pop the other side in.

Lisa Crane

It broke again on one side on the body. There just doesn't seem like enough play in the filament to snap over. I am using Stronghero3D PLA Chameleon Mirror. I am printing at 120% and printing the head and body at the same time. I'm assuming 120% for the head too is the appropriate size when using 120% for the body?

Nate Petro

I'm probably just blind but i couldnt find where these files moved to

Dan

https://www.patreon.com/FlexiFactory/collections? No worries! I move everything on the last day of the month, archive the ones that only August folks got...and moved the rest to the top posted September Download Folder :) Also, going to be doing an announcement about this, but check out the collections tab. Everything in one place right at the top of the feed!

Candice

This print is amazing! One of my new favorites. Printed this guy in ProtoPasta Wonder Black and it fit together like a dream. Excellent work as always!

Jason Reid's School of Duct Tape

i like the print However on the lower jaw, the two posts that the upper jaw snap into are really easy to break. can you modify to be more like the sharks lower jaw at the joint point please?

Chon

I and my son love this design. Do you have any plan to design more of skeleton dinosaur stuff like brachiosaurus and Triceratops? I am planning to start selling printed toys of your designs. I think it is better to have series of designs in a set of three or more

Dan

I would love to. I like to bounce genres to satisfy a large audience...and also to keep the art and designing fresh for me :)

Mark

Can this file be found anywhere or purchased?

Dan

This is an older public release, available with the 40% off discount on MMF.

Mark

Thank you, purchased on MMF

Aaron

Am I able to get this file? I joined as a member specifically for this.

Andrew Mai

what filament did you use for the stand

Dan

That one is Cookie CAD sunrise:-) I usually buy it on Amazon.

The Door Guy

Can you advise how to get pictures like yours? Do you use an AI app for the background etc? Trying to get some nice photos done lol

Dan

Sent you a message :)

Chris Clark

just recently joined. this is the first one i wana print off. but i cant find it anywhere

Dan

This model is not included for may as it is an older public release. You get my last three public releases with membership and then I have the 40% off coupon to use for any of the older models that you want to purchase. You can find that in the collections tab at the top of the page.

Dr Brad Shaw

So I printed a large version of this and now it is going to appear on a float in a large parade in Salt Lake

P Perry

Is this only available via other stores for non-commercial use? Maybe you should consider a higher priced tier where people can get all of the models you offer.

Dan

Oh! Please share your pics at flexifactory@gmail.com, discord or tag @flexifactory. Would love to see it!

Dan

I messaged you :)

Dan

This is an older public release which is included with a 40% off discount.

Dan

I include my last three public releases and this was many, months ago. So I offer this one with the 40% off discount.

Georgeann Pistella

how can i get any of the files of the older ones because it isn't popping up for me

Angela Judkins

Will this be released again? My son loves the dinosaur.

Dan

This one is available as a member with the 40% off discount code. So you can purchase it at any time through the 40% off code at the top of the page under the collections tab:-)

Carrie

I am a member, and my file was accidently deleted. Where can I re download this? I do not see it in mymini factory.

Dan

You have to redeem the archive links i send each month. Please check the pinned post under archives for instructions. Thx!

Rage Designz

Would you consider doing a ball joint for the head like the Raptor? As we are still having lots of issues with the head being tight and the upright parts the top of the head clip into on the body snapping off when carefully putting them on. This renders the body useless and the print a throw away.

Dan

Thank you for your feedback. I am not planning a re-design of this model. I would like to help you with your settings if you are having failures. This one is intentionally more print-in-place, but also quite a reliable print. If you are on discord you can open a troubleshoot, or I am happy to discuss via email flexifactory@gmail.com.

Jeffrey

would it be ok to print this in .16 layer height?

Dan

I do .12 with single color and .16 with multicolor generally :) It is just a quality preference that you can choose :)
