I volunteer at a natural history museum in Missouri and I do the flexi t rex there as well. I am excited for this one because we have the worlds largest triceratops. I printed all the missing pieces for it

Alexander

hello, you’d better start developing models that can be printed in separate colors, otherwise not everyone has bambu yet, otherwise in the photo it’s beautiful when printed in different colors, but in reality it’s not clear that the details are not visible when printed, thank you or not, I’ll observe I have a couple of months left behind you, after which I will decide whether it is worth collaborating with you further, there are simply authors who are thinking about it!

Dan

Thank you for your feedback. The photo above is a Photoshop Picture with a filter. I did that to make it a little difficult to see so people would guess what the design is. I do, like many, many other artists, make the designs for one color. And I am always learning new methods to try and add variety for all printers of varying technical abilities. I did originally start as print-in-place only and flexi. Those will always be at the core of my designs. Additionally, I have always hand painted them to show the possibilities of the art. These are things that I will continue. The multicolor is simply an option for those that want to. But as technology improves, I am certain I will be able to grow with the trends.

Thats awesome! I was hired as an Archive for my museum. It has been one of the funest jobs I have had. My Directer Sylvia Czerkas and her late husband acutally designed the velociraptor for the first Jurassic Park movie. Well I should say they asked to use his design and he agreed.

Carolee Hawkins

Sadly our museum is open seasonally (closed from november-april). I got my 3d printer in october and was able to show her flexi rex and she offered right away to have them in her shop next season. I will have to visit Missouri sometime to see the triceratops. Thats my favorite dinosaur. im located in Blanding Utah so if you ever travel this way I suggest checking out the museum.

Jes S

I believe Dan's thing is for it to printed in place, meaning no after printing putting it together and gluing etc, you can always paint said items if you wish. I don't have a bambu printer as yet but i still manage to come out with some amazing prints, i guess it depends on your slicer settings and the filament you use, I think Dan does an amazing job. give Credit where credit is due.

Moko Aumakua (Honu Aumakua)
