I realized recently that I am in the very unique position to comment accurately on what it's like to live as a Trans freelance artist. Truth be told there are a lot more of us than you'd think, in fact some seem by far more successful than yours truly ^_^

Nevertheless, I never thought I would be in this position.

My life's goal was to live off of my art, somehow. I didn't know what the end goal was going to look like. I still don't. But what I'm doing and what I've done has felt really right to me since It's Not a Race

Now I find myself, three years later working from home. With a medium I love. In a house I love. With the people I love.

I'm scrapping by in every sense of the word. But I still get the life I've always wanted. There are some most definite ups and downs. There's still a lot of grappling with trauma, anxiety, and depression.

But? I'm still doing it. I'm still living my dream.

I might still have to eventually get a part time job again. But the goal was to assess in March wether or not this was sustainable and from my projections it looks like I'm going to actually make it an entire year as a freelancer.

FINGERS. CROSSED.
