Sista you got noooo idea lol I feel like a possible reason why soul reapers won't show up in gigais, 1 is because no one is currently assigned to Karakura town except Afro man, and 2 I think the idea is to not make Ichigo sad by constantly reminding him of spiritual things. Out of sight out of mind, lets keep soul reapers off his mind and let him enjoy living the normal life he deserves and not make him sad or worry about us. So I don't see it as a cruel or messed up thing. I'm sure they want to see him just as much and they're holding themselves back from visiting. That's just how I feel about it. Another thing is if they're in a gigai in front of him and they run into a hollow, Ichigo would feel helpless. As far as "where is the thank you" from soul society, ima just be straight up. You guys are jumping the gun so don't be too mad about it. It's still early. But it's so cool Devi cares so much about Ichigo, hearing both your thoughts on it is great!

Ichigo being the soccer team’s goalkeeper fits perfectly for him as a character. He’s all about protecting, so of course his position will be to protect the goal :D Also, considering that Ichigo was suddenly thrust into that larger world in episode one, I think this is a nice foil to that, us being thrust back into a normal life just as suddenly.
