Gigi is something all right. What she did with Bambi is messed up. However, Gigi is one of the easiest Sternritter to look into. Her Zombie ability is a direct mirror of Yhwach's ability to give a Schrift to others. One could say that both represent the hive mind mentality when it comes to fascism, along with the lack of individuality under such an ideology.

Just to let you know, Giselle is trans confirmed by Kubo. And yeah she is a very dark character, lol. And yeah we also see her that Bambi is a lot weaker as a zombie than when she was alive.

It's a thing that has been brought up as problematic for a long time. Definitely why they toned down the actual line in international version (even the Japanese is changed). But it is pretty in character for Yumichika who is a known asshole to people he doesn't like and he is taking to a person that killed countless members of his squad. Probably more trying to piss Giselle off so she loses her head rather than being politically correct. Yumichika himself is very LGBT coded after all.
