I wouldn't worry over Claudia too much. I have confidence she'll do something in time that'll convince you she's a good person...or maybe she'll do something unforgivable. I know what did it for me.

The Claudia Rollercoaster is a ride that is for sure. I love seeing Rayla being sassy as hell, very interesting to see your thoughts and takes on what will happen later in the show.

It's so weird seeing the anti-Claudia talk. I remember back in the first few seasons, I really liked her. I won't spoil anything about future seasons, but, yeah, she's a complex character and she goes to interesting places. Man... I really want to talk about her, but... y'know, spoilers. But no matter what, I wouldn't say she's that bloodthirsty to be honest. Like I said in a previous comment, the whole dark magic thing gets a worst rep than it deserves: It's more how you use it that matters, in my opinion.

"Was that real, or was that her way to get to him?" Honestly, I don't even think Claudia knows. Call it half and half. One has to wonder how long Lujanne has been alone up on the top of that mountain...

I have a theory about dark magic's origin...but I can't say it for another season yet, due to spoilers.

Are Claudia and Soren going down a dark path, or is this the first step for the Trio to become a Five-Man Band with a love triangle between Claudia/Callum/Rayla added in for flavor?

In all honesty, I can't bring myself to agree with you on your stance with Dark Magic. Killing animals for personal gain is something that we do IRL for trophies, clothing, and food. Dark Magic is the same as any kind of power: it needs to be regulated. Putting it back in the box isn't going to happen, so rules need to be put in place so people like Viren don't abuse it.

Honestly Claudia is one of my favorite characters. Because yes, dark magic in itself is bad. BUT she has a point, at least to me. We as humans kill animals every day, be it for food, clothing and other things. They're a resource for us and Claudia. Killing an animal (or in this case a magical creature) for human convenience has always existed and always will exist.

My view on if Claudia was being genuine; I think yes and no. I think that she had a plan to "Earn his trust" by telling him about his dad, which she planned to do on their date. I don't think she actually felt anything for him until she starts fixing her hair. And then I think Claudia lost the reason she was on the date in the first place; To get Callum to trust her. Instead, she got caught up in the emotions and nearly instigated a kiss. But she had to stop herself because she knew that she needed to "stick with the plan", and she couldn't in good conscience kiss him without telling him the truth. Tldr; I think she set out to "earn his trust', but ended up with real feelings for him and that's why she needed to stop the kiss.

Claudia is... an enigma. Dorky, bubbly airhead who kills little creatures for magic without a second thought and sees no fault in it. Understands complex spells and incantations, but seems like kind of an idiot with most everything else. Vexing. Early on I struggled with Soren and Claudia as well. Both are tasked with nefarious deeds but on a personal level seem... harmless. It took me a while to make up my mind on them. I'm enjoying watching your journey and similar struggles.

You with Claudia is like how Mosco was with Catra. This is going to be fun...

You want to trust Claudia and Soren, but you don’t want to at the same time in case they turn out to be antagonists. The frustrations are real

I think they based Rayla off of Mosco 😅😂🤣

Ryan

Funny, I thought they based Claudia off of Mosco... ...I am in danger if she ever reads this comment.

It occurred to me watching the mirror scene, with the eye drops revealing reality... I saw it not as Viren raging against the mirror, but as the reflection raging against Viren. Revealing exactly what he thinks about himself. The finger pointing sealed that for me. I suspect the animators wanted the scene to be viewed in both ways, simultaneously.

Am i the only one who tried watching this reaction and there was no sound

I actually think Lujanne's wisdom wasn't that far off. For relationships, yeah you need 100% honesty but I do think that Trust itself is about believing in someone even if you don't know everything. Trusting someone means that you accept the parts that you don't know and belief the other person will come through. Trust, quitr literally means not knowing everything but going forward anyways. So her analogy about the moon and how there are some thing about others you can't see isn't so far off.
