Season 6 is the best.

Christopher Malone

yeah... that is not the ancestor that defeated Aaravos but keep this scene in mind for the end of Season 6, cause by the end, you will understand Aaravos, his motivations, and why he has done everything to this point

Somehow he completely flipped the fandom's perception towards himself in that one scene in Season 6...

I can't wait for the next book! There are so many good moments, cool new characters, more backstories and several different threads that finally comes together.

If you had played the end credits of this episode normally, the regular end credits song was actually replaced with the full version of the sea shanty they were singing at the beginning. So if you want, you can try replaying that part just for fun when you're able. Also, that statue isn't actually the human girl mentioned since...well the statue has horns and pointy ears, and therefore is an elf. I won't say anything more though. That part you'll have to figure out on your own.

Your comments are dangerously close to spoiler territory, just saying.

The Dragon Prince is all about (breaking) cycles of violence, and I LOVE this episode because it deals with a cycle that Callum doesn't want to admit he's still caught up in: dark magic. He started the episode denying anything to do with dark magic, but he gives in a little bit more with Finnegrin's pressure until he feels he has no other choice than to use it to save everyone And the fact that it links to the ocean arcanum is so juicy!! This whole ordeal taught Callum that there is a part of himself he cannot understand or control - the one that can and WILL embrace darkness for the greater good. By accepting the truth that his curiosity is not innocent, it is /hungry/, he was able to forge a connection to his second primal source!

My initial reaction this episode was also to yell at the screen because Amaya DIDN'T KILL KARIM WHEN SHE HAD THE CHANCE. But rewatching it, I think it makes sense Amaya only scarred him. Idk about everyone else, but I wouldn't want to kill my fiancée's little brother without thoroughly checking in with her if it's alright first, even if he planned a coup and had her kidnapped. That kind of life decision takes a serious sit-down, y'know? You gotta have the hard talks about marriage, kids, shared finances, and whether it's ok to kill the in-laws

Ryan

Funny, it's Elijah talking about killing your in-laws, but that sounds like something Mosco would say...

The title is also a play on a famous James Joyce novel called "Finnegan's Wake" which... my pedestrian ass never read. Not even for World Literature class, so I'm not gonna pretend to know what it's about. I'm only familiar with a song of the same name. And even then, not the original version by The Dublinners, but Darby O'Gill's cover. I love the banter that goes on between lines on that one. "What's a wake?" "It means he ain't sleepin'." I love that Soren was the one to get through to Elmer. Also, excellent pun work on the name. At this point... I'm wondering which character you're gonna hate more by the end of the series: Karim or Viren? No spoilers, just curious to see how this will play out.

,,The Arcanum is that there are things you can't control and you KNOW what I'm saying is true... Because you were born knowing it" - My favorite line from the show. Period. It goes so hard, like damn Callum.

I'm guessing that she'll hate Karim more. After Karim I can rewatch the first arc with barely an eyeroll at Viren when I used to have steam coming out of my ears when he was on screen.
