That li'l Sims diamond is a plumbob. It's fun to say. I really like the design of Cosmo. He seems to have a sort of vitiligo, but the light patches look like clouds and I love that!

Oh, here's a fun fact for ya: Astrid the Celestial Elf sister, is not only voiced by a trans woman, but also is trans in universe as well. Also, yeah, Celestial Elves are decidedly not the same thing as Startouched Elves, and are in fact just a faction of the Skywing Elves, such as the previous winged elves we've met like Nyx for instance...and her wings connected to her mid-section if you remember...not her bum.

The Celestial Elves at the tower are not the same as Aaravos. He is a Star Touch Elf; while the Celestial Elves are all Sky Wing Elves. You'll learn more about them later. But I'm surprised you didn't notice... at the top floor of the Sky Scraper, when Callum and Aaravos were talking with the elder... there were a whole bunch of staffs that looked identical to the one Viren used to have; only their stones are all different colors.

Without the usual announcements about late/skipped reactions, I was worried we were going to go 2 weeks without word of a new TDP video - but I was really happy to wake up this morning and see the notification come through!! Something I really enjoyed about this episode was that it showed Rayla and Callum getting into the groove of their dynamic for this season. In the previous episodes Callum was on edge, consumed with anxiety about his use of dark magic and the implications of that re: Aaravos (+ keeping it secret from Rayla). But now that they're on the same page, the two of them are (mostly) in sync again! Also: shoutout to Terry for being the voice of reason/humanity/morality that Claudia desperately needs. For those who don't remember, he was introduced to us wearing those glasses!

Since the show does not explicitly state. Astrid the skywing elf is a Trans Woman. Her VA is a trans woman who confirmed it.

A dragon shirt for Dragon Prince! How fitting. Important, eh? Some piping hot TEA, perhaps? Y'know I've got a theory (it could be bunnies!) that the second word doesn't actually start with E... The drawing of the two Sky Elves where one is covering the other with their wing looks like it's a wink to Good Omens. You should watch it (not to react to, not quite your channel's vibe). It's *very* gay... at times. And has David Tenant in it so you can get some more Scottish goodness.

Not sure if you noticed, but the pillars in the starscraper observatory each contain the same staff Viren has, except each one had a different colored glow. We also see that one of the pillars was missing it's staff, so it seems we know now where our dark magic staff came from.

I get that but I was kinda hoping that given the fact that it's been two years or so with the time skip that fact he did try to kill him at the battle of the sky spire aswell as the fact that he is a sworn crownsguard would have hardened soarin enough to use simple logic to determine Verins most likely and in my veiw practical fate. Also a quick clean sword to the neck would likely be preferable to whatever the sunfire elves would do to him or the dragon queen.

Viren is just continuously going to be a difficult character, which I do appreciate. Cause he's done so much wrong and been so self-obsessed that even when he's trying to make amends, nobody wants to here it. Soren's doing what any child who's been abused should do - utterly stonewall his father so he can't be hurt again. Cause if Viren's genuine, which he is, what would forgiving him feel like? Would Viren actually being a good father NOW only provoke the trauma he endured from Viren pretending to be a good father while actively gaslighting him? Any interaction with Viren is essentially scorched earth for Soren. So far too late that even if Viren is being 100% genuine & sincere, any good he tries to do will only result in harm.
