I just know that Sarai would be so proud of her baby sister in this episode. Amaya found the love of her life, tied the knot, kicked a bigot's butt, and gets to rule by Janai's side as a queen in her own right <3

When I first saw that title I was DREADING watching it (rightfully so). They knew what they were doing with this title. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing... After all ,,Leave one wolf alive... And the sheep are never safe" and ,,The last thing you will see is a Stark smileing down at you as you die... The North Remembers!"...

To be honest TDP definitely isn't one of my favorite shows. It's beautiful and the characters are awesome but the story itself...eh. Elijah's reactions are hilarious though. Calls it out on the bullshit but still tries to enjoy the parts she does like. I appreciate the reactions but please don't feel like the series has to continue. We're here to support Elijah and want her to love what she's watching. Makes my heart happy with how much she loves RWBY though Lol!

The show is definitely hit-and-miss for me, but overall I did enjoy watching it Also, Karim getting exactly what he deserves was so satisfying lol. So pompous but so useless, he was never a threat the entire series, but he and his pride were perfect for people much smarter than him to manipulate and then leave him with nothing but a humiliating defeat

Your assessment of Karim was spot-on. He never did anything for himself and only relied on others to do the work for him, and now we saw how it hit him the back. His entire plan hinged on Sol Regem doing the fighting for him, and trusted Pharos to guide him to the battlefield...and hadn't even considered what to do if Sol Regem, a dragon who is very unreasonable at the best of days, to not go along with his plan, and if Pharos might not have been as loyal as he thought. Now if you remember way back in season 3 when Aaravos corrupted the Sunfire Elf place, the one he possessed was Pharos, the same guy whom Karim was working with, and had had that same scar on his neck ever since the caterpillar bit him...meaning, he was Aaravos' puppet the entire time, and he played Karim and Sol Regem for fools. To quote Avatar: Karim: "You've clearly beaten me at my own game." Aaravos: "Don't flatter yourself. You were never even a player."

Btw shoutout to Karim for getting played for a fool by countless people he thought he was outsmarting - Got played by Janai when he misjudged her readiness to be queen (TWICE LOL) - Got played by Kim'dael the moment she realised he couldn't free her - Got played by Sol Regem who ditched him as soon as his wings got healed - Got played by Pharos who's been an Aaravos Puppet for three. whole. seasons. Thank god he's voiced by the same guy who does Harrow or else he'd have nothing going for him

I'd like to think that when Ezran asked Karim if he loves his sister, he knew Karim would say he does, debunked as it is, ready to contradict his actions by saying "Then you can still choose love, it's not too late". And it almost worked, Ezran managed to reach Karim, except Karim had his blind faith to defend him. P.S. your consideration to stop with this show is understandable.

I am genuinely so thrilled, that you'll finish this series--I will agree that some characters and writing decisions can be frustrating, but I also think that there are good bits, and enjoyable parts of the remaining series. Looking forward to seeing what you think of the rest! ^_^

I’m glad this episode brought back some of your excitement for the show, especially considering how justifiably shaken up you were by the Viren stuff the week before. Beautiful wedding, Karim getting put in his place, Ezran and Anya teaming up (yeah there’s some good ship potential there), and that little bit of Rayllum at the beginning. I probably wasn’t the only one eagerly awaiting this reaction, and was not disappointed.

This show attempts to tackle a lot of real world issues and deep topics but doesnt put in the necessary work to build them up. It tries tk short cut them and use a fun fantasy world as its vehicle. And those parts are fun but the juxtaposition is very weird. But episodes like this certainly keep me watching.

I appreciate your eagerness to keep going for our sake. If it makes the show any more bareable to you, do what I do and watch it just to rant about it lol. But if for nothing else, keep watching to see a very specific scene in S7. I think you will love that scene a lot hehe

FR, because of how unwilling they are to tackle the real world issues and deep topics they come off more as plot devices than anything to learn from. Very unfortunate, TDP could have been one of the greatest fantasy animated shows of it's time but it's too content with mediocrity and doesn't take any risks.

Yup. Tbehre willing to tackle them for a second. But theyre not willing to depict what a society of racist elves for example looks like so when kiram rallies an army it feels far fetched and lacks emotion. Same woth other topics. Arcane tackles heavy topics but it goes out of its way to make the world make sense for them.

My sister's wedding had a dragon at it, too, but it was inflatible and much more polite. Her wedding was called The Read Wedding, too, but because it was a "literary themed" wedding. She originally a cosplay wedding - her future mother-in-law objected to such frivolity. The alternate title was "My Big Fat Geek Wedding." They got married under an arch of books atop two miniature TARDIS. I wore a kilt! I can't imagine the restraint it took not to go straight into the next episode. But first things first! Mosco gets to clean your desk!

I've been saying that TDP just straight up plagiarizes other, better fantasy works but that She-Ra outfit is so blatant and on the nose lol

I don't know if anyone remembers World of Warcraft here but they took a lotttt of their ideas from that. Which is why I really like tdp they combined one of my favorite childhood games to other shows I like 🤣 moon shadow elves are night elves, the silver grove is darnassus, the sunfire kingdom looks just like the blood elf city and moonberry juice are just a few things they got from WoW but yeah loll

I'll say, I'm glad you kept on for at least this one. Has enough of the reasons you liked the show to begin with to be worth it. But I will say, if you ever decide to bail on the show, you'll get no frustration from me. I want you to see thing your heart is actually invested in watching, and if it ever gets to being more pain or frustration than it's worth, that's fine. I'd say there's only one moment in S7 I'd really want to see your reaction to, purely for vindication's sake, but if you decide you're done, we can always suggest S7 moments we'd like to see you react to in place of the full season. It's always your choice first.

Honestly as bad as the last ep was, these next three I hope will make up for it. We had the wedding, next we have the end of Viren's story, and then lastly Aaravos Origin if it helps I barely heard Mosco's real name and could not understand it so I think you are good there... granted my hearing is shit so take that with a grain of salt

Usually I dont care on this. There are no new ideas in fiction and good writers borrow, great writers steal. This show just does a bad job at doing so so it stands out like a sore thumb.

First of all, thank you for continuing. Im glad you enjoyed this episode much more. I mean, how can you not? A beautiful wedding. An excellent message. Karim eating shit. A superb episode. I'm thrilled that you honed in on the scooch too. I ship the fuck out of it! And you nailed it; young royal power couple. And I LOVE the twist in gender roles here. Aanya is the more experienced ruler. She is more hardened and tempered. Ezran is still growing into his crown. He's still very idealistic and leads with (perhaps too much) compassion. She is the warrior. He is the diplomat. Love it! The wedding was beautiful. It really set in for me when I heard the title proclaimed. "Queen Amaya". I love their story. I love their journey. I love how far they've come.

One thing isnt made quite clear is the elves serve and worship the dragons. Its very close to a religion if not is their religion so giving Sol Regem back his power and listening to him is seen as justifiable. Of course they do a bad job at showing the culture as a whole in this show. I think Kiram will come off as more of a threat if they did that. Hes still handed all his power but hes able to weaponize his culture into this which is what royals do.

Tbf Sol Regem was being piloted by Pharos and didn't know where to go without him due to the whole being blind thing. He didn't ditch Karim on purpose.
