Pavi is too adorable for this world

Plaxoi123

Depending on how much I like this reaction I might have to get a Paramount subscription

Suplee215

Looking forward to new reaction with new avatar content. I am a big fan of the show and one who personally prefers Korra (both show and character) to Aang/ATLA. ATLA is probably the best written "heroes journey" out there and its plot is extremely well done. And LoK is extremely sloppy plot wise but I much prefer character growth and exploration over plot. Almost every character in LoK gets a satisfying and interesting arc where they change from where they started. With ATLA most of the characters just grew up but their fundamentals core essence stayed the same. Zuko is the biggest exception there, with Sokka having a good one but is very quick. Overall both shows are amazing and its easy to see why people love them. So far this show seems a great blend of both along with still surprising me

Taigan

True story, ever since LoK season 2 I assumed that any future Avatar story would have to have two avatars. Because Unalaq fused with Vaatu to become the Dark Avatar. They defeated him, but it always seemed to me that meant there would now be two Avatar cycles. I’m not sure if that’s what’s happening here, but it’s weird that my idea was correct as far as there being two.

Suplee215

Same. Also whenever one of Rava and Vaatu are defeated, the other grows inside the one left. Which will explain both having all 4 elements. If thats what happened.

DarkGodHao

FOR THE LOVE OF AVATAR YANGCHEN WILL SOMEONE HUG PAVI!! SHE IS ADORABLE!!!! Both of them are

Suplee215

From my understanding of the timeline, Korra died 250 years ago during the apclopystic event and got blamed for it (im going with unjustly as well but we'll see)..it been 250 years without any avatar and the land is still dangerous. The 7 havens are 7 cities world wide that survives in this post apclopystic environment differently. Ellora's method is the brigade. The 4 nations of before are gone

DarkGodHao

Anyone that harms adorable Pavi must pay, prepare the Pavi Defense Force

Catradora fan

I've got a very good feeling about this 😉

Korra got blamed for literally anything bad that happened during her time, so yeah, I'm convinced she did nothing wrong.

Anzac-A1

22:15 Same. Korra hate is so forced.

Anzac-A1

I argue LoK isn't sloppy in terms of plot, at least for Books 1, 3 & 4. Book 2 is the issue.

Anzac-A1

22:49 I mean, there's precedent in Avatar for plays being completely wrong about the events they're portraying. Remember Ember Island Players?

Dark Danny

The Korra series was ok, had some great moments and i don't hate her character... She does piss me of sometimes specifically the stuff with her and Mako, i with all my heart believe that Asami is too good for both Mako and Korra. Hated the love triangle, that's my only gripe with the show and the character

Dark Danny

Love the show so far, Pavi is great, she reminds me a lot of Aang while also being her own character

Samuel Friday

I wonder...........does one have the spirit of Raava, and the other Vaatu? Both spirits enable Avatar abilities, but maybe Vaatu's just keeping his darkness dormant for the time being

SauceyRed

Aw she watched the trailer. I mean I should've expected that, but I'm always pleasantly surprised when a reactor goes in as blind as me. (I only knew 3 things about Seven Havens going in, and one of those things was something I thought was wrong about until the end of the first episode lmao) EDIT: Okay she didn't know it was gonna be twin Avatars, nice. What I thought I knew going in was that the main characters were twins, and I *think* I had heard they were both Avatars, but since we didn't start with the twins and the other one only got introduced at the very end, by the time of the reveal I was convinced that I was probably wrong or something, so I was surprised lmao. The first question I had was "Is Raava split in two??" but people mentioning Vaatu as possibly being in one of them makes way more sense.

SauceyRed

I didn't notice the missing leg until it was focused on when Pavi got into her little cave home lmao I forgot Jae saying there are fewer benders born each year, that's interesting Is the music playing while Pavi and Jae are fighting the tornado Avatar/Avatar state music? I genuinely don't recognize it and I just finished rewatching/finishing Korra a few days ago

SauceyRed

I wish I could access Paramount+, purely to watch this show, but it's not available in my country (which is crazy, idk if I've ever experienced this before for a streaming service)

SauceyRed

Ohhhh that would make sense! I didn't consider that them fusing would've started their own Avatar cycle immediately, but that's what pretty much what happened when Raava fused with Wan iirc

Zeb Bailey

The Korra-slander/Korra-hate is very stupid. I never hated Korra she was literally one of my favourite characters in the AVATAR franchise. 21:54-21:19 yeah I'd be upset too if someone said that to my Korra merch.

Eulenhorn

We don't know if Korra caused the event. Im certain she didn't intend it to happen or to harm anyone, but it is not unprecedented that avatars can cause a net negative to humanity. That doesn't mean it is Korra's fault or she should be blamed for it but the entire system puts the balance of the entire world on the avatar, if they do something bad under that pressure (which has happened before) it is deemed to be their fault by the general population even though that doesn't make them evil or not trying hard enough.

Eulenhorn

But it could very well be that Korra just "failed" at the task of balance in the face of an impossible threat to it and people resented her for failing at the weird system putting all the pressure on her.

Suplee215

Fair. I think inside each season the plots are well done. Its the connecting each season that gets sloppy and a lot of that is due to book 2 but yea. Certainly a case of them planning each season seperate due to circumstance. I also think book 1 could have used some more time to fully explain things like Amon's abilities and how the political neglect of nonbenders happened.

Suplee215

My theory is she fought Vaatu again and the choice was end everything or save what little she could.

Suplee215

The one thing is Wan went on a quest for all 4 elements. That could have helped caused the avatar cycle too and is the reason for the bending. But due to the link between the 2 spirits it wouldnt be too much a stretch to say vaatu didnt need the elements gifted by the lion turtles

Liam Gradwell

Love that Elijah is a fellow defender of Korra, as we all should be for this series. 💙

Gihellcy

I hereby propose the name "Pavi's Protection Society" as the name of Seven Havens fandom WE MUST PROTECC HER AT ALL COST \o/

Marceline_mother

I'm portuguese and we don't have paramount +. I installed Stremio and then installed Torrentio from Google, all free

MehrGills

I think that people are painting Korra the same way that LightHope painted Mara. Nimona is also a good example too. I guess ND just loves writing good stories with misremembered heroes

RavenFairy

I be honest I didn’t much like Korra as much as Aang but after the Avatar movie I’d change my mind I started liking Korra a little more, as for both Pavi and her sister doing all 4 elements making me think that Korra died with both Rava and Vatto inside her.

Bug Catcher Jacky

I'm thinking either Raava split up, or we got a dark avatar with... Uh, what was his name? Vatu? The evil version of Raava

L Frances

So the symbol of the Red Lotus is different from the shape of Ellora. The Red Lotus symbol is more a spiraling circle, where as the White Lotus is closer to the shape of Ellora. It's possible the Red Lotus has something to do with the mystery of what's happened to the world, but we also can't tell much of anything yet. It's a very genius and enticing premise.

Sterben

But the Avatar movie?!

Enchanted_Echo

Not gonna lie, when I saw the notification and it said ASH, though I have watched the 3 episodes already and knew of the show, it went WAY over my head and I was thinking "There is a new show called ASH?" m bad......but yay Avatar time! Also I do agree with you, I don't mind Korra, but the writing for a lot of stuff was........not good. The only thing of Korra I disagreed with her doing was leaving the sprit door open with their world because it seemingly did more harm than good, but I still don't hate Korea. I also did adore Jinora and her sass.

Moonas

Whenever one of Raava or Vaatu are defeated, the other grows inside the one left. So when Raava wanted to reincarnate Vaatu was also there. There was 2 bodies so one took Pavi and one Nisha.

Daniel Drew

The shape of Ellora is, I think, one of the 7 chakra's symbol. I assume that the other havens are the shape of each respective chakra symbol. But yeah, the Red Lotus symbol is defo nothing like this haven's shape.

Daniel Drew

Also, that building that Pavi and Jae were in is a mall from Korra's time.

Yaboiroshi

Thank u so much. I loved both shows

Borealis

The Red Lotus symbol was circular, no points.

Vex Valor

My going theory so far is that there was a gap between Korra's death and Pavi's reincarnation is because of when Raava had been damaged, it took some time for Raava to regenerate enough to be able to continue the cycle or perhaps Raava was damaged even further when Korra fought a villain. But either way, I am guessing there was a gap.

Vex Valor

Absolutely ridiculous you had a Korra hater in your house. They are so insufferable and misogynistic. Makes me think of the time I was with a group of people and the topic of Helluva Boss came up and someone there startled talking about how abusive Stolas was and that "he could've came out at any time, but kept it a secret to hurt his wife and daughter" and a whole other bunch of homophobic nonsense that ignores how society treats queer people and that there are actual gay people who pretended to be straight and got into heterosexual marriages throughout history (despite the person saying it was a lesbian) and I just sat there thinking "Wow. These people actually go outside?"

Makastan

Watching this with you because apparantly this show is not streaming in Belgium(˃̣̣̥ᯅ˂̣̣̥)

BGTitan

When the trailer for this show came out I just knew the Korra haters were gonna crawl out of the woodwork. For 14 years these cretins have been persistent. I feel like the Korra propaganda in this show though is kind of meta, because I’m 95% certain it’s just that like you said. Propaganda. It’s either Korra is completely innocent, or something she did unintentionally got out of hand and she tried everything to stop it. But they will never convince me that my girl Korra just went evil. Also, any and all Korrasami crumbs will be taken with utmost gratitude.

Jared Bichler

All this talk about Korra taking over is how I know something's up. Korra never wanted to be in charge of anything.
