Extra Post: Sleep Walkers Fer & Ryan Redesigns (Patreon)

I posted these "Sleep Walkers" redesigns in my public socials but I will tell you the juicy details here.

For those who don't know, these characters are from Sleep Walkers, an older project of mine that I was working on before Arcadia. The thing is, Sleep walkers' story (as some might already know asking me lore questions here) is connected to Arcadia and would be a prequel, Sleep Walkers would count as lore for Arcadia. I know this isn't much, but I hope this extra info reaffirms that I still have intentions to tackle the project. I plan to work on it after Arcadia comes to fruition along with a third project also connected to Arcadia.

Btw, you might wanna know that Fer (blue) and Ryan(red)  are technically Asher's indirect Grandparents (Sophia's parents)

How did they have Sophia in the first place? I guess some kind of artificial gestation?? I don't know but that's why Asher resembles Ryan.

Hmm, that is interesting. With what I learned so far I assumed Kyrios was the only human to be born post-Hypnos. But this makes me think that humanity at least tried to continue living on Earth post-Sleepwalkers, during which time Sophia was probably born. Wait, does that mean that Sophia never was in the Hypnos system?

yes, I think that needs clarification on my part, kyrios would be the only person that was born on board Exodus. However, Sophia was born during the phases of the Exodus project created by the few humans that awaken from Hypnos. Technically you say she was born on the earth but I think the Hypnos facility where the humans are stored is like an orbital structure around Earth. I'm inclined to say that more people could have been born there before the exodus project was ready for space travel. Now Sophia's nature is still a bit of a mystery to me since well she has 2 dads and I have stated she and kyrios take their looks from Ryan mostly and fer to a lesser extent. One option is that Sophia was entirely made from scratch, in vitro, and genetically modified fecundated ovule with both Fer and Ryan's genetic data. The other choice is that she was a soul from Hypnos that lost her body or never had one to begin with, so in a sense would be like adopting her while using the prototype of the Arc of soma to create her body, somehow that option seems more appealing to me, but as I said it needs more consideration on my part.

You did say that humans don't know how to make souls artifically, but that doesn't mean it can't happen spontaneously, especially considering that parts of Hypnos were created by the same entities responsible for souls. I have a few theories how that could have happened. - Glitch Theory: Hypnos was mainly built as a storage for the humans. The rebirth system, while not necessarily overloading it, could have be a bit much for Hypnos and caused occasional "glitches" with Sophia being one of the fortunate ones whose soul works like a normal humans. - Jellyfish Theory: Named after the immortal jellyfish Turritopsis dohrnii. They are able to life theoretically forever by inverting themselves and factory reseting their body. Maybe for some souls the stress of reincarnation was too much and they basically got completely reset, as if they never reincarnated in the first place. - Sedimentary Rock Theory: This idea goes specifically in a direction where souls are not singular entities, which is not everyones tea. But basically the stress from reincarnating chipped off fragments from the souls, creating a pool of soul "dust" in Hypnos from which new ones formed. - Noise Theory: This one implies that the buzz of all the souls created a background "noise" that just spontaneously popped out a few new souls. I kinda like doing soul world building, I am sorry if its a bit too much.

Interesting how it takes place in an earlier age, but their designs and clothing appear more 'modern'!
