A couple of weeks ago I asked our esteemed Forge members: what games they play and what was on their wish list.

The response was fantastic.

More importantly, it reinforced something that has become increasingly clear as MeshyMesh grows:

Some of the best ideas don't come from me sitting alone at a sculpting desk. They come from conversations within the Forge!

What Did We Learn?

The biggest takeaway was just how strongly represented Warhammer Fantasy and The Old World players are within the community.

That wasn't entirely unexpected, but it was interesting to see just how clear the result was (70%).

There was also strong support from One Page Rules players, while Age of Sigmar, Kings of War, and other systems continue to have representation within the forge.

What that tells me is that while compatibility across multiple game systems remains important, the heart of the community is still very much focused on building Evil Dwarf armies inspired by the classic Chaos Dwarf lists across editions.

The Wish Lists Were Even More Interesting

There were some recurring themes that appeared across multiple comments:

Elite infantry (hello August)

Monstrous centrepiece models (Burning Idols was a good start)

Altars and religious constructs (cool Unit Fillers as one idea)

Berserkers, zealots, and cult-themed units

Hobgoblins, slaves, and supporting forces

More heroes, characters, and army-building options

It was an interesting find to see requests weren't for individual models per se.

They were for pieces of an army.

That tells me many of you are thinking beyond single units and are looking at how the range comes together as a complete force. That's exactly the direction I want the project to continue heading too.

Your Feedback Already Influences the Range

The conversations with members (via threads, direct messaging) means a huge deal to me.

The Forge Centaur Light Armour bodies came from community discussion.

The Black Orc conversion weapons came from community discussion.

Numerous smaller options, components, and tweaks across the range have come directly from member feedback

I can't promise every suggestion will become a release, but I can promise that every suggestion gets considered.

Sometimes an idea becomes a release, or it sparks a different idea entirely e.g. crossbows, burn-scarred heads.

Sometimes it solves a problem I hadn't even realized existed (like making premade bodies to fit on 20mm bases).

All of that is incredibly valuable.

What Happens Next?

No, this isn't a roadmap reveal.

But it would be fair to say that the results of this poll have given me plenty to work with.

As I continue planning future releases, heroes, monsters, war machines, Furnace Cults, and all the strange things that lurk within the Forge; these results will absolutely help influence priorities and where development time is spent.

Several suggestions have already found their way into my notes.

A few may have been there already and just received a healthy nudge further up the pile (those crazy berserk lads are itching for battle).

The Forge Is Built Together

One of the principles I've always wanted MeshyMesh to embody is that the Evil Dwarf range isn't something built for the community.

It's something built with the community.

The poll was a great reminder of that.

Whether you're a Forge Master from the start (April seems so far away now!), a newer supporter, or following along as a free member, thank you for being part of the project.

And if you've been sitting on the sidelines wondering whether joining the forge is worthwhile, this is exactly why I run these discussions.

Members don't just receive files. They help shape what comes next.

Thanks again for all the feedback.

Now... back to the Forge.
