Evil Dwarf: Wrathforged Berserkers (Patreon)

Chained before battle. Unleashed upon the enemy.

The Wrathforged Berserkers are screaming into battle (an updated name from Crimson Grail which needed to sound a bit more evil 😉)

Coming September 1st for all Forge Adepts and above, the Wrathforged Berserkers explore a very different side of the Evil Dwarf legions.

These warriors consume the distilled essence of gods of blood and rage through the ritual of the Crimson Grail. Flesh, mind and will are overwhelmed by divine fury until little remains but an insatiable desire for slaughter.

So dangerous are the Wrathforged that they're kept chained before battle, released only when their keepers are ready to point them towards the enemy.

The Look of the Wrathforged

I wanted these guys to immediately stand apart from the disciplined, heavily armoured ranks we've built so far. And thank you again to those who contributed their ideas!

The bare heads feature wide eyes, screaming mouths and completely unhinged expressions. These aren't warriors calmly marching into battle, they're already well past the point of reason.

The helmeted versions draw inspiration from gladiatorial armour. They're designed to protect the Berserkers in battle, but there's another practical consideration...sometimes their keepers need protection from biting mouths too.

Chains are another major part of their identity.

You'll see them wrapped around arms as makeshift armour, hanging from the warriors and I imagine used as makeshift weapons, they are the remnants of the restraints used to keep them under control before battle.

The Kit

The Wrathforged Berserkers will include:

3 x Axes

2 x Heavy Axe Flails

5 x Lower Bodies

5 x Upper Bodies

5 x Heads

Shoulder Armour

And, as always, the components are compatible with the wider Evil Dwarf range.

That means the new bare bodies, heads, weapons, chains and armour aren't limited to building Wrathforged. Mix them into your existing collection to create lightly armoured warriors, characters, cultists or entirely new units of your own.

Likewise, raid your existing Evil Dwarf kits to make your Wrathforged as individual as you want them to be.

September – Darkness & Fury

The Wrathforged Berserkers arrive September 1st for all Forge Adepts and above as the first part of September's Darkness & Fury releases.

And tomorrow...

Something ancient, winged and considerably more calculating will be joining them.

The Lamassu is coming.

Until then, keep your chains secured.
