Brother E

HA! I was waiting for this episode!!

Jcw490

Curtis said shook. 3rd sign of the apocalypse?

Reverend357

that intro with this episode...famous last words XD watching your reactions is a huge part of my day too. One piece usually releases when I get home from work, so I am always looking forward to watching it after dinner. Makes my day. The way you are genuinly excited and enjoying these is just so damn refreshing in a world as cynic and fucked up as ours.

Well, time to gather the Dragon Balls.

Miklar Sihn

He is fighting a member of the same group mihawk belongs to... Remember how mihawk handled things, he literally took out a fleet because he was bored and beat zoro with a tiny knife without really trying. So luffy fighting someone from that group on equal terms seems impossible.

J.t. Fowlkes

The thing is it's crazy because Luffy he just 17 years old and really know nothing about the world that is true but he shouldn't go in cocky underestimating others who is older and has more experience know throught the series u will see Luffy struggle I mean not question he's alive not really a spoiler there

Schmul Sjifris

And there we go. OP gave us a grim reminder that this is one of the 7 warlords/shichibukai we're dealing with. Luffy cant just walk up to and beat him. The very notion is ridiculous really.

Austin Yattaw

Luffy got his but kicked logia users are hard to fight.

Lewd Angel

Aaaand here it is.. 2nd favorite moment of the arc, and its here when Luffy really finds out the difference in power between him and a Warlord. You said you couldn't wait til Luffy got his hands on him, careful what you wish for xD

Aaaaaaa ive been waiting for this episode ever since we started the alabasta arc! The message has been delivered to the audience: "dont get too comfortable, you never know what could happen..."

Johnny Kiehn

Haha we warned you Curtis! One Piece is a whole different animal from other shounen anime. Trust me, this isn't the last time a One Piece plotline will blow your mind!!

flameenforcer619

And here we have Luffy’s very first loss. Never underestimate a warlord.

I would argue that other shows do things as well as this moment. An example is the first showing in bleach of the main villain(I will not go into specifics so as not to spoil it). One piece does quite a bit better than most shounen, but i would argue that it is more connected to their characterization.

Middleman850

We all been lying to you one piece is only 110 episodes long. Hope you enjoyed the ending

DevilJynx

Ohh man, you're going to hate(enjoy) Crocky boy. He makes all the previous villains look like jokes in comparison

Chris D. Jones

For the rest of the episodes we follow the crew under Captain Usopp

Timelink

Probably one of the biggest lessons in the One Piece series to learn is that you can't always beat a powerful opponent with spirit, determination, and heart, especially if they are a Warlord!

DarkPirateKing

How does he even stab anything with a curved Hook liked that....

Sean Nelson

Pretty easily actually you come in at and angle and lift up the body weight pushes you down the hook.

V_VMat

Neat! Crocodile did same trick to Luffy what Nico Robin did to Vivi earlier. Oh, wait... Fuck! 😆

Sean Nelson

Crocodile is a favorite villain of mine as I self identify with him. He acts like I do if I was a douchbag lol I always figure that's how I'd turn out if I became an arrogant douchbag villain lol we even have a scar in the same place

LordNoLife

Day 96 of my oath: I a 22 year old man do solemnly swear to mention how many episode we are away from catching up to one piece on every single episode that Curtis reacts to and I do not care how long that takes. And on that note: We are 780 away from catching up, thanks for get well wishes guys, just goes to show how awesome this community really is.

Ali6B

Crocodiles voice actor gives me chills. The way he says “Yuba” and “who do you think I am?”

Bee

Well Curtis, if you thought every villain in One Piece would go down easily, here is the proof that you were wrong. Some of them are really really strong, even stronger than Luffy.

Jake from SF

Love the high and lows of this episode. Start off by thinking Luffy's going to kick some ass to Crocodile not even trying and catching him on his hook. First Smokers smoke and now Crocodiles sand. I remember thinking back to when I first watched this and thought, "how is Luffy ever going to defeat these guys when he can't even touch them."

Gene Bookwalter

You'll see in One Piece, the straw hats taking the L only make the victory that much sweeter later on!

Miasimon

Crocodile is probably my absolute favorite One Piece villain. Just because he FEELS like a proper villain. Maybe it's that mob boss thing he has going for him. I remember this episode being the first time I thought "wait, the Straw Hats can actually LOSE fights?"

Crocodile is a great villain, such a sinister one. Loved your reaction to that moment, didn't disappoint.
