While I think it was an honest accident, sending Euphy out to annihilate the Japanese, it's disturbing how easily Lelouch has run with it!

Akettaja The Finnish Moron

A lot of people hate that scene because it was only put in to make the story continue. I personally like it. To me it shows that Lelouch can’t resolve things peacefully anymore because he is too far gone. Not only did he overuse his Geass like Mao and break it, but he also sacrificed too many lives to not continue fighting.

Why is the file 2 and a half gigabytes? Holy shit lmao

Kakashi

As the saying goes Curtis, you've made your bed now lie in it.

Reverend357

here we go.....lads, I got a bottle of bourbon...I think we gonna need it

It's completely out of character for Lelouch though. He is very calculating and careful. Up until this point, he has not revealed his ability to anybody, not even his allies. Him just bringing it up out of nowhere in an offhanded remark seemed like a really lazy way to continue the plot. At least that's how it seemed to me.

Miklar Sihn

Lets make it clear, Euphemia was a damn genius just as Lelouch said. With one move she stopped organised unrest. She might have done it in a totally naive way, but she still managed to destroy all opposition in the nicest way possible.

Gigamac24

If I had the ability to control people with my word, even on command. I would probably never tell my friends to kill themselves and such even in a joking sense

As Lelouch said, the least he could do was run with his mistake. If he didnt use the situation, he would leave his backers without leadership and with a more hated enemy than ever before. The only real option was to use his mistake and go after one of the top 2 sweetest members of his family (As far as we know, atleast now(The other being Nunnaly, it is hard to say who is sweeter between Nunnally And Euphemia))

I think the whole point was that he was giving an example that was the exact opposite of who she is, he was basically setting up the most extreme comparison he could.

No spoilers, but I always liked how this episode showed the toll and the burden Lelouch would have to bear to have the power of the kings.

Dia Rbeid

And there s something really creepy about the way she was after the elevens with different weapons and stuff, this scene creeped me the f out haha

Harold Haddick

Curtis, I don't know if you went back to see the spoiler-y title afterwards, but just in case, it was called "Bloodstained Euphie".

M9M5

You once mentioned that, from the moment you started your Patreon, Code Geass had been the most requested title of them all. Now... (makes a super-dramatic hand gesture a la Lelouch) NOW do you get it?

PKKite

Poor Darlton

Aidan

This is the only reaction of Curtis that I just can't watch. I could barely watch the first time I saw it. I can't watch it again. This is the only episode of the series that I don't like for obvious reasons.

Master Zed

oof.. the file is too big

Irimu

Im chuckling already and I've only seen the thumbnail...

Garlic

I cant imagine living a life of never being able to look someone in the eye again.

Tyler

Such an important moment and also why Mao was so important. He served as a warning for what awaited Lelouch. As you use your Geass it grows more powerful, until such a time where you're unable to turn it off anymore. It just so happens that it happened at the worst possible time and he didn't realize until too late. I appreciate Schneizal's legitimately horrified reaction to what was happening. Also, I feel bad for General Dalton, he was a good dude.

CrossZ

Jeez this NEVER gets any easier to watch. Euphie may be naive, but she's such a genuinely good person that seeing her twisted like this is tragic

It's rough but Curtis laughing at euphie asking the japanese to die made it a lot easier to watch

Gigamac24
>>36157203

Yeah imagine that but no one even looks at you In general. A personal anectode: you learn to get used to it

Miasimon

In this episode, Lelouch tries out being a stand up comedian.

gomugomubrooo

And at this moment, Lelouch knew...he fucked up.

RyssaVionus

Damn, I can't believe we're here already. The series feels like it's flying by. I was listening to you joke about the 'tragedy' of the pizza at the beginning and just thinking... He has noooo idea what he's heading into. This episode and the next one are two of the most memorable in the series, for me. And while it does seem a bit cold for Lelouch to be able to turn around and twist the event into the story he needed so quickly... I mean, the mistake is already made at that point. I can't blame him for doing what he can with it.

Philip Repp (Bebop56210)

I know you know who Johnny Yong Bosch is already but has anyone pointed out Rukia = Euphemia. :)

I get chills every time Lelouch saves "Save the Japanense"
