Progress Report - August 18, 2025 (Patreon)

Hello, everyone!
This week's Progress Report is going to be relatively short and simple. So much so, I'm not going to even bother splitting it into sections.
First up is progress on the Frozen video: I have all of the audio installed. To celebrate, I have uploaded the full 3.5 minute ending, as it stands now. You can click here to watch it, with audio. Note that while it does have audio, there is absolutely no editing or mixing done to it - it is just Mimi's raw audio dropped in.
I think just this 3.5-minute sequence perfectly illustrates many of the regrets I have with this project. Mimi is an absolutely fantastic performer, and a solid 97.5% of this video is effectively wasting her acting skills on voiceless audio. The few brief moments she gets to actually act in this project, though, she absolutely shines. And I very much want to figure out another Frozen project that can more properly give her an opportunity to flex those acting chops.
The next course of action is going to be rendering out all of the audio, so that I can start mixing together the final cut. Since I lost my Davinci Resolve projects in that Windows reformat some months back, it means I lost the cuts I did for this project. It's not technically challenging to rebuild them. Just time consuming, as I have to manually realign everything for the cuts. Due to the "everything is done in a single smooth camera motion" gimmick, it means that all of the cross-fade transitions have to be synchronized frame-perfect, otherwise the camera noticeably hitches and ruins the effect.
I expect exporting out the audio to take a few days, and then rebuilding all the cuts to take up the rest of the next week. By next Monday, I should be ready to start mass-applying all of the lads' outfits. That in itself shouldn't take long, due to the tool I wrote to automate much of that process. The real challenge then will be fixing all of the models. And there are a lot of fixes that will need to be done.
But all that is Future Me's problem.
Beyond the Frozen video, as you may have been able to infer from this week's preview image, I have also been making progress on the Pharmmetra Micro. I decided to pursue it as the first Micro series, since it is the one I have the clearest direction on.
I currently have 2 of the 4 episodes blocked out, and am hoping to get the other two blocked out before next Monday. Ideally, I'll have them all shipped out for voicing before next Monday. We'll see how that pans out.
I'm not quite certain what I want to name this Micro series. Honestly, I have been debating giving it the same name as the Pharmmetra Short that spawned it: To Breed and Bond is honestly just a great series name, as it so perfectly summarizes the mission statement of the series.
It'd be rather confusing having both a Micro series and a Short video with the same name, but honestly, unless I can come up with a better name for it, I might do it anyways.
With the Micros moving forward now, it also means I am going to need to figure out a proper landing page for them. Which means I need to talk to my web designer, and possibly mock up a temporary page in the meantime. All of that is something I also intend to make progress on over this upcoming week.
That's all for now! Until next week, everyone!
