Em

Got this notification while observing Jupiter and it's moons, felt appropriate

Missiek43

OMG Raziol... 😭😭 I'm so so glad they are talking. All the literal centuries of anguish.....I can't even imagine. The last thing Raziol said to Sulvain before yeeting himself out of the catacombs was that he would find Sulvain. Has he searched all these years? Did he give up? Sulvain was so so close to laying Raziol aside and moving on...so close. Sulvain has had Sherwin by his side, as a friend and helper for some time...did Raziol have a friend too? Or did either of them date anyone else?! OMG the questions keep coming ....😵

Brooke

These pages need to be loooooonnnnnnggggeeeerrrr!!!! *Not really. You amazing artists do what you need to. But do you get my woes???*

Sang Steppenwolf

It's crazy how much of Raziol from Paris shines through in the one we see here. When he pushes his hair back, it hints how he used to look 300 years ago. And he's fighting back tears, which is just like him to do. The fact he can do that even while seeing Sulvain cry is different tho. My heart hurts for these two 💔

Kass

🥺

I feel like at least Raziol definitely dated while they were apart. If the dream that Sulvain had at the ball was really a memory, then we saw how Raziol had become more forward with his affections toward others, and he possibly singled Sulvain out because, physically, he had the characteristics of the Sulvain he knew and wanted to get to know this new stranger. He even kissed him first. I feel like he might have tried to find affection in others during this time, even if the ones he fell for were like his true love who he thought was dead. Sulvain seems far more reserved, but he may have been open to having camaraderie with others while they were apart. I feel like he would occasionally look for Raziol in the wheat fields, even though he knew he didn’t really have a direct link anymore, to see if he was really dead or not. He may have been giving up hope, but I agree that we had reentered the story where he may have been turning a corner, had he not seen Raziol again. These are my thoughts, at least. I just can’t wait for these two to figure out that—if that really was a memory and not a dream—they could have been reunited CENTURIES ago. 🤦‍♀️😩

Maine

CRY8NGGGGG 😭😭😭😭

Jay Parker

Every word makes my heart ache with joy! 😭

I agree. Raziol has probably dated or been involved with other people. It’s been hinted before that he generally experiences more romantic and sexual desire than Sulvain, who was reserved and reluctant to open himself up to people. And in Rings of Saturn, Raz definitely flirts with Tina too. But I’m sure they’ve stayed in each other’s hearts and minds, even after all this time.

thedistortedeye

They’ve missed each other so much ;—;

Sas (Milo's studio insulation funds)

Raziol😭😭 ohmygod!! I can almost hear his shakey whiny voice in my head. I can feel edge of his emotions like it is a physical thing in me. I can aaaaaaaa 💔💔😭😭😭💖💖🫂🫂 On the more calm note I love when he puts his hair back like that. First it looks very good on him, second it's one of my favourite stimms I do it too a lot 💖

Juliette Wade

Oh, may I also say thank you, KaiJu, for bearing the weight of all our emotions and expectations! I couldn't imagine doing that while in the process of composing...

S Mcnamara

They’re having All The Feelings so I’M having All The Feelings 🥺 So sweet, so raw I agree with other folks that it’s nice to see old emotional Raziol peek out from underneath his new cool-dude exterior. I bet only Sulvain could crack that shell ❤️‍🩹

Alys

Ooooh, i like that now that they’re slowing down and alone, Raz’s Smooth Mode is stuttering to a stop. I’m so eager to see how he deals with this convo, where his walls will go up—it seems so far like Sulvain barely has any!

astral projection

it's physically painful to see raziol's eyes. i feel like reading their last "together" moments over and over and over again. and i can't help but imagine what's going to happen on next pages - what'll they tell each other? will they hug, kiss or will they keep their distance? i'm still afraid raziol is seeing someone else... which is okay, but it's gonna be soooo painful for my poor heart. another beautiful page and eye's details are just stunning. they feel so real!! i can't express my awe enough 🧡

Iselin

they seem so like themselves, like all these centuries didn't worn off their humanity and are again like two lovers in their early twenty being emotional💘...but I'm waiting for the reverse side of the medal. 😭🫠

Neko-san

So many emotions with this reunion!! They're going to make me cry too!! 😭😭😭💖💖💖

PantherLion

HE UNDERSTANDS SULVAIN'S SIGN 🙌🏼🫰🏼🎇 Their precious eyes, though!!! TwT jewels plucked from the sky, both of them!!! 🌌💙🎇 (Is there a way to embed this comic in my very being, other than reading, for eternity??? Like, I need more than just reading and breathing every detail for life TwT ✨)

PantherLion
>>165733584

SPEAKING of Sherwin! I'm excited to see how he reacts when Sulvain brings him in on the puzzle mission from Vivi >w> 👌🏼🫰🏼

Sas (Milo's studio insulation funds)

Okay "never thought I'd touch you again" is a very specific thing to say. And to be honest it caught me off guard at first. I mean it's not what people say, isn't it? Normally you say "never thought I'd see you again" So 1) does he mean "see" but got mixed up because of emotions (cries) or even more emotional 2) he saw him so often in his dreams that the touch part is more unbelievable 😭😭

Roedii

But can you imagine how incredibly scared our poor Raz must've been? Knowing Sul is out there, fighting whatever or whoever... being bitten by that beast himself, not knowing if he will make it. Then, when he DOES make it, not even trusting himself to stay in full control. Not ever knowing what happened to his lover, if he will ever be able to see him again 🥺 I hope that our star boy did not spend centuries blaming himself. It might be a bit awkward between the two of them after so long apart, but I hope they will be able to go back to how they used to be together ♥️😭

Atlanas E. Kildarin
>>165743533

I think 2 in this case. Sulvain has “seen” Raziol off and on for the last few hundred years (in his dreams, in strangers that look like him, or has actually seen him and didn’t believe it) so “touch” is more concrete. You can “see” someone without actually having them be there, but touching them means they’re actually with you. 😢

>>165743533

Your reply made me see this page again aaaaaa one of the top 3 most painful Novae pages easily. Also I want to make a public apology to Raziol for thinking he won't cry in this scene (because of the shut down I'm not thinking he is heartless). You sad little meow meow my baby kitty star boy 😭😭😭😭

Rowan Jalso

Raz looks really pale to me. You can even see circles around his eyes. An effect of his transformation? In the few shots we got of him on campus he seemed happy, so it’s probably not stress. Does…Raz need to eat? 👀

Nekochan

Must. Have. More. But. Must. Wait. ówò

Missiek43
>>165739458

I'm just over here, hands clasped over my mouth, quietly screaming and watching and hoping and PRAYING for good communication and understanding....and of course a kiss. 😍

Missiek43
>>165735919

I must be immortal by now because Novae has made me expire just about every month for the last few years. I no longer fear death....only the lack of updates. 🫣😅

Ares

I just will never stop crying ig!

Missiek43
>>165769602

I have been sobbing for years. I literally have Sesam's wings tattooed on my arm as a butterfly. Novae is life

Conner
>>165764942

Dude I went back and checked absolutely he absolutely looks much paler in this page compared to before :O

Meli
>>165769602

Wow, i'm sooooo happy i'm not the only one with a Novae tattoo/planning to get one 🥰

Fond Phantom

it still feels so surreal to have them both in a scene, close and interacting, out of danger. and it’s great, because i know i’m feeling how they’re both feeling, just in a much much minor scale. so i’m just gonna focus on raziol’s gorgeous hair. i love how you can feel it’s softness and movement (sulvain! caress that hair!)

Bethany BH

Raz! You still have THIS MUCH effect on the immortal after hundreds of years! I know the abandonment hurts, just please try to forgive him and let him heal you! I believe that when the tears make it too difficult to speak, Raz will switch to signs. I can't wait to learn what he named Sulvain. 😭

Bethany BH
>>165744957

And even if Raz was blaming himself, the abandonment trauma is hard to shake. Even if he knows it wasn't Sulvain's fault, not being able to find anyone in his circle at the time would have been terrifying and awful. Poor boy may have some really awful things bottled up. 😭

Darastrix

Raziol pushing his hair back reminds me of how he used to wear it pulled back, then I wondered if Sulvain ever did anything different with his hair, then wondered if we would ever see him with longer hair....then realised he might not ever be able to grow it any more than it already is because he's technically dead. (And in typing this had the thought that if he never had any kind of keratin growth, his nails would be in very bad shape from centuries of wear and tear, so it may actually be possible for him to grow his hair out if he wanted)

BT
>>165764942

Like I need any more of a reason to go back and reread novae yet again

Juliette Wade

Now you can touch each other again so hold hands at least while you chat pleeeeeease...

Ares

I keep coming back hoping….its updated

I think about this comment for a day now. I realised that if I ever will have a chance to observe any of our planets I will probably cry (and probably get obsessed just like Raziok did as a kid) Knowing that this is all real is one thing, but observing something like this on your own? In real time? 🪐🤯🤯😭 I am emotional even by the idea of it

Em
>>165733512

I'll try to get a picture for you! I can juuuust make out some stripes on Jupiter. I need to get out there early enough to see Saturn, too. If I get any good pics I'll send them on the discord. 💖

Juliette Wade
>>165866309

I'm just so glad for Sulvain's little episode and the bride carry so they aren't going "IDK if I'm allowed now"...

Taylor

Oooooo the conversations they’re about to have!

saltandcookies
>>165764942

You’re right! 😮 Could it possibly be the change in lighting? Idk how much that would affect it, but when they were by the library, they had the warm glow of the lights on them still.

>>165733584

Wondering how Raziol and Sherwin will get along has been SUCH a huge source of anxiety for me. 😭 I could see it going many ways. So far, Sherwin DOES seem to have Sulvain’s wellbeing at heart. Maybe he’ll see the positive change in Sulvain now that he’s reunited with Raziol, and will be supportive of them? Also, will Sulvain even tell Sherwin who Raziol is?? I figured he’d be too excited to keep it to himself, at first, but the more I think about it, I doubt Sulvain would risk exposing Raziol’s secret… whatever the particulars of it are… that have caused him to be alive for 322 years. 😅 If Sulvain doesn’t tell Sherwin who Raziol is, will Sherwin get super protective, suspicious of who he is and why he knows so much about Sulvain/has such a hold on him? Sometimes he low-key kinda acts like Sulvain’s dad. Although I totally get that Sulvain doesn’t take care if of himself, kind of (unintentionally) causing other people to worry and nag. And as for the quest to find Vivi! I really hope Sulvain includes Raziol in it. Can you imagine if he tried to hide it, out of fear of involving him and putting him in danger again?? And if Raziol found out from someone else?? He might be really hurt, thinking Sulvain was planning to leave/abandon him. Or, if Sulvain DOESN’T hide it from him, would he even be willing to come with him? Didn’t they both *just* enroll in college? Hardly seems like the time to pack up and leave. Of course, they could always take a semester off. But 17th century Raziol would never have abandoned his studies to travel. I guess we’ll have to see if his priorities have changed. 🥲

Missiek43
>>165733584

Dude I love all of your thoughts! I have several new fears unlocked now lol. Seriously though, I have wondered the same thing about Sherwin. Surely he would keep Raziol"s power a secret....I hope. He's kept Sulvain's power secret for who knows how long, and if Sherwin is not a Magoi, both Sulvain and Raziol could easily kill him., so that's a good in incentive to keep quiet, right? OMG the secrets again! I swear if Sulvain doesn't tell Raziol everything I'm going to reach through the screen and choke him. Having secrets nearly got him killed when he ran off to face Hargrave alone, and the fact that he might have lost Raziol for all those years because he was kept in the dark (for the most part) about Magoi and magic. If he had been included in the group like Cyrille and Elouan were they may not have been separated.

Emily Rochester

THERE'S the Razzberry we all know and love! 😍
