Hi everyone, here is a little filmed brush test with my new art materials bought at Ken Bromley

I have done links to each brush below so you can look at the product descriptions. I am really pleased with all these brushes. I've always been a fan of Pro Arte: the brand is affordable and the synthetic bristles have a stiffness and bounce that I like.

I hope this is helpful for any future brush purchases you might make!

I bought:

Series 100 Connoisseur Brush Round Size 12 £17.44

Series 99 Connoisseur Flat One Stroke Brush Size 1" £19.39

Pro Arte Series 45 Sablesque Blended Mop Brush Size 6 £18.71

Prolene Riggers Brush Series 103 Size 0 £2.51

Prolene Riggers Brush Series 103 Size 5 £4.46

Pro Arte Series MP Miniature Painting Brush 00 £2.96

Pro Arte Series MP Miniature Painting Brush Size 10/0 £2.96

Pro Arte Series MP Miniature Painting Brush Size 5/0 £2.96

Pro Arte Series MP Miniature Painting Brush Size 000 £2.96

Great video! Do you think the MP brushes would work for brush lettering? I struggle to do it with a normal paintbrush and just wonder if the width of the grip might help?

The broader handle is SO nice for grip, I think it's definitely worth buying one to try.

Good video, Harriet. This Christmas I found the Paint Puck Brush cleaner you put at the bottom of the water jar. It is a silicone disk with stubs and it works great cleaning your paint off you brush. I have one in each water jar. Maybe give it a go to see if this would help with the larger brushes. Love all your videos and am glad to be a Patreon member with you.

wow thanks Betty, I've never heard of this before! I will go and have a look.

Coasters are a good idea but does it stay at the bottom of the water jar? The Paint puck has a suction cup formed with the silicone.
