Thank you for all of your suggestions, not only were there some fantastic ideas for youtube tutorials but there were also some great ideas for the watercolour challenges going forward.

There were so many to choose from we are filling April with Patron chosen tutorials. Look out for the following on my Youtube channel in April:

Cherry Blossom

Dogwood Rose

Woodland Animals: Barn owl, Fox, Hare, Hedgehog

Water Lilies

Pansies

Allium

Ducks and Ducklings

Lotus Flower

There were a number of suggestions that already exist in some form as a tutorial of mine either in my book, New Botanical Painting, in an Instagram story highlight or as a PDF downloadable from my web shop:

Hydrangeas

Wax Flower

Dahlia

Sweet Peas

Bluebells

Foxgloves

This isn't to say they won't be turned into filmed tutorials but they are available to study if you like.

My new book, Birds Bees and Blossoms (available for Pre-order, out in October) has some of the animals and insects you requested too so, for now I will hold off on those:

Dragonfly

Butterflies (although we do have a loose butterfly tutorial already on Youtube)

There were other suggestions of pastoral landscapes, still life items, surfaces, objects that I'm really keen to teach either on Youtube or on Patreon so I have held off scheduling those on Youtube for the moment too.

Thank you so much for your input. It makes me so happy to know that I'm creating content that you really want to see. Don't be disheartened if your requests aren't on the list above, everything has been noted and might pop up in a watercolour challenge when you least expect it! Have a lovely rest of your weekend and happy painting!

Sweet peas!❤️

Wildlife - hares, hedgehog, owl, fox etc! ❤️

Julie

Orchids 💕

Yael Smith

Another vote for Sweet Peas.

Carol Barnard

I would love to do an orchid or allium

Sinead Burke

I know you like keeping it seasonal, so I would vote for something like crocus' or a little cluster of waxflowers? Or if an animal, perhaps a lovely long eared hare!

harriet de winton

Hi Harriet, it's kind to ask us our opinion. I like wild animals like fox or others, orchids, river with stones (I have already try to do it, but difficulties come from the shapeof stones), and last thing (maybe might difficult) human portrait.

Valerie Tottem

How about chicks, ducklings, bluebells. Thank you.

Margaret O Brien

I’d love to learn more about sketching (e.g flowers), sometimes when I see a tutorial that requires a sketch of any kind I won’t even attempt it! I’d love anything else you do 👍😊

Britt Ekeroth

I would like very much to paint an icelandic horse. I find horses very difficult to paint so maybe you can teach us. All kind of animals will do. Thank you.

Pam Dratnol

A dahlia...I've been working my way through your first book and have found a dahlia very difficult.

de Winton Paper co.

Hi Pam, I have a paint along of the dahlia from the book in my instagram, story saved highlights.

Pam Dratnol

I will try to figure out how to find that...thank you so much!

Kate O'Neill

My favourite thing about spring is the blossom trees, I’d love to learn how to paint a row of them, or like a Japanese cherry blossom scene with water and a bridge or something. Or even an individual tree

Kate O'Neill

I’d also love to learn to paint more bouquets or flowers in vases

Kate O'Neill

Maybe a spring wildflower meadow, or an atmospheric bluebell wood with the tree canopy and bluebell carpet

Kate O'Neill

Sorry that’s enough ideas from me, thanks so much for asking us!

Sophie

Butterfly ?

Snaidis

I would love to learn a fox fitting to the chicken

Glenna

Texas bluebonnets (lupine) and Columbine (Colorado state flower)

Mary Anne Gunter

Any kind of flowering trees in the spring season

Pam K

Pansies

Jana

Would love to see your way of doing landscapes. Different styles of eggs (similar to the feathers); bright birds; lighthouse; love the idea of painting glass vases too :)

COLEEN FERRIS

vacation. beach house. ocean. swimming. snorkeling. sun!!

Linda Bloom

I would love to paint some vegetables for my kitchen. Also, maybe for Patreon, a series of windows from different parts of the world with window boxes and maybe vines.

Linda Bloom

I love the flowers best though!

Susan Randolph

Lotus flowers or water lilies. Orchids

Caroline Wasterlain

I adore the way you do intricate little wildflower borders. I would love to see this! (like the post from July 18, 2020 on instagram). Coming up with the flower types and composition is where I struggle!

Amy Biebel

How about pansies, chicks, ducks and bluebells? Thank you

Robyn Mills

How about painting glass, from glass jars, glass jugs of lemonade, glass of wine/beer, looking glass, windows, glass beads, spectacles, magnifying glass, mirrors, reflections in glass etc....

Frances Ross

Pink or white dogwood tree branch in bloom.

Wendi Cudmore

Flowers, apples, rabbits, vintage enamelware, i have several pink pieces, would have no idea how to even start painting my pink enamelware teapot

Catherine Turpin

I would love to see borders suitable for illustrating children’s books.

mary busse

I second the dogwood request. White would be my preference, but pink is nice too. I think the native ones are white. I don't know if you have Dogwood trees in the UK. It is the state flower of my home state as well as my current residence. My Hellebores are blooming like never before. I would love to know how to paint them.

mary busse

Also second the glass request...flowers in a glass vase or canning jar.

Kathy Graham

Sweet Peas and Larkspur in a turquoise or light blue glass vase /with water😁 I second event maps! I would like to eventually design wedding invitations and all that goes with them!

Katie Hubbard

What about Bottles (gin, whisky, prosecco) and glasses 🍾🥂🥃🍸it reminds me of drinking cocktails in the garden during lockdown last summer

Julie Brooks

I would like to learn to paint glass too. Dragonfly.

Janie Landis

I have your book but a video on painting hydrangea, cherry blossoms, bunnies would be great! Love all of your floral tutorials!

Linda Selvy

Martini with green olives, champagne glass with all the bubbles, dogwood, hydrangea and cherry blossoms. I am new to your channel and to Patreon, so will be exploring all that you have to offer in the coming weeks. I love what I see so far and while I watch many watercolor artists on YouTube, yours is the only Patreon membership I have chosen. Thanks for sharing your artistry!

de Winton Paper co.

thank you Jana, we have quite a few landscapes in the watercolour challenges but can always do more.

Marie Folkes

Runner ducks, Aylesbury's , love little call ducks but they are fairly simple. I'd love to see what colours you'd pick for runner's!

Frances Ross

I am happy for the dogwood💕

Cheryl Lewis
