Thanks for all your wonderful suggestions, there was an overwhelming interest in all things water and ocean. So this is what I've got on my list from your requests this month on youtube:

Seascapes

beach water

sea shells

boat on a lake

hellebores

Valentines card ideas

Valentines day bouquet

Some suggestions are things already on YouTube (like tropical fish) and some have been covered in the watercolour challenges in the Sweet Pea and Cherry Blossom tiers. I appreciate not everyone has access to those so I do try and make sure we spread the content over the various platforms but for those of you interested in water I highly recommend having a look at my water saved highlight on instagram stories before I launch into some water scapes on Youtube.

Hello Harriet, my suggestions are to paint rock, portrait, architecture, and as animal peacock.

Fairystory AI Studio

can you teach how to draw and paint a Peacock that can be found in your book? i tried but i still don't know the technique of how to draw and paint one

Elena

I would like to continue learning architecture, statues, gardens, etc.

Kate Tully

More seascapes please

Anne

Fruits and vegetables! I quite enjoyed your tutorial for the loose vegetables

Emma Woods

Love all your tutorials but would particularly like a water/sea tutorial where you focus on the form and patterns of the water itself. Thank you!

Toni Riney

I’m looking forward to the pebble tutorial today and would like more meditative painting ideas. Thank you for all you do!

Megan (Megabyte)

Maybe an underwater view, like top down? Or seaside cliffs, such as getting the texture of crumbled, gnarled rock

Wendy Nguyen

Landscapes, architecture and complex crystals 🙂

Kelly

I would love a lake view, with a little sailboat .

Amanda Sullivan

I know you have a deer in your book but it would be lovely to see a live tutorial on a painting of one.

Lisa Webster

I would love to see some landscapes, seascapes and some under water life. Thank you for your wonderful tutorials 😊

Jo navin

I'd love to see a converted barn tutorial please Harriet, and agree with above comments - water/sea tutorial, lake with a boat. Also, looking forward to Easter, maybe a rabbit? Sorry if you've already painted one and I've missed it! Xx

sanjana rao

Hi Harriet, here are my 4: Cityscape, A bird in flight, Eagle, Dolphins? 😅

Dani Miller

Gladiolus would be fun. Also how about an antique sewing machine?

April Haxby

I just took a lovely photo of a hellebore in my garden. I expect you have already done hellebores, but if not that would be a lovely seasonal painting to do.

Susan Weller

I like florals and landscapes. I would love to see some potted flowers. I also would love a pansy and a sweet pea tutorial. Thank you for all your wonderful videos.

Carole Edain Brulé

Hi everyone, I love to learn how to paint dewdrops on petals and leaves and for February, some Valentine card ideas would be wonderful. Thank you Harriet!

Mary Valli

Yes, Carole. I second your suggestions.

Estela Lozdon

I love all the suggestions ❤️ I would enjoy either of them. Adding to the list, what about painting people within a landscape or city moment? I know people don't have to be too detailed but I always come not liking my little people in paintings, LOL. Best to everyone 🤗

Theresa McAvoy

I envision a lovely garden patio decorated with potted plants. Maybe add a comfy adirondack chair and a glass of iced tea. I've had enough winter here in New England!

Beverly Dorman

I love interior design as much as I love art and would love to try some small vignettes of pretty rooms!

Debra Broido

How about a colorful coral reef with colorful fish🐟🐠

Dee

Woodland scenes. We have some great animals you have taught us thus far so why not add to that a fairy door, or a street lamp post thing like Narnia in the forest with darker outer edges? I do live in the mountains with forest all around. I love the fairy concept like the unexpected walking up onto a fairy door in a tree. I have done them on rocks and polymer clay and they are installed here and there on the garden path. It’s cool. I also love drawing people so your easy version of say a fairy from the back would go down a treat! Really whatever you do is awesome and I will give it a go.

Shira Lev

I think it would be really awesome to paint some cute food/candy packages!

Cynthia Long

Another artist, Anna Speshilova, does this thing with water blooms to create a mist effect. I can not figure it out. 😁

Jana Bailey

How about a mama polar bear with her cub?

Patti Roberts

I love your tutorials for painting individual flowers. I would love a lesson on combining those different flowers into arrangements and also some help with composition.

Lynne Morea

I would love a coral reef, sea turtle, and dolphins. Thank you for everything.

Karen

Yes, I, too, would love some Valentine card ideas.

Jane B

Hi Harriet! I just watched the pebbles tutorial and LOVED it. I am an avid beachgoer and lover of all things beach and ocean related. I’d love to see some more tutorials along those lines (coral, seaweed, shells, starfish, octopus, seahorse, etc.). So enjoy watching you paint and create these tutorials for us. Thank you for sharing your talents! ❤️🐠🐬🦀🦞🦑🐙🌊

Laraine Lacob

I'm with you Theresa...being a fellow New Englander with about 2 feet of snow coming tomorrow, your idea sounds wonderful!! Love Adirondack chairs!

Donna DelBrocco

I was looking recently for how to paint water droplets or dew on a leaf or petal. I would love to see you paint that!

Tammie

Calla lilies and stargazer lily

LisH

I've 'liked' some suggestions, and I suggest butterflies.

Glenna

Landscapes

Louise Edsall

A dolphin and sea turtle- dolphin mostly!

Priyanka Patel

Not sure if this has been done before but puddles/ripples/movement in water would be good to learn

Kristin

A detailed castle or a castle on a hill.

Rosalyn Solinger

I really enjoy the flower tutorial so am a bit reluctant deviate but see many interesting suggestions. Your architectural painting was so lovely. Maybe something along those lines.

Kathy Graham

How about Moss Roses trailing over big rocks at the edge of a pond with maybe a baby Deer standing next to the water.

Bärbel Schilz

Seascapes please; would like to learn how to paint water and mix colors for shades of water. Also would love watercolor pencil techniques and tutorials. I enjoy your instructions immensely!

Valentina

Hi Harriet, I would love to see some buildings, perhaps in loose watercolour, learning how to convey shadows and different textures in a less structured format (I really loved the detailed cottage painting from your watercolour challenges and will soon tackle the other building tutorial!). Thank you!

Dian

Birds of prey, if they are not already on your bird list and things from our seashore would be lovely too.

Jana

Art from different eras (couch florals from the 60s, boho/abstract/midmod, Lisa frank, pop art, etc). Someone else put Coral and that sounds fun - dry or in water. Different sea creatures in general? Starfish, Octopus, jellyfish, etc. Snowy farmhouse, or spring farmhouse; different types of eyes (animals?); Turning watermarks/splashes into a design. I'm all sort of random tonight 🤷🏼‍♀️

Cheryl Gibbs

I love all your ideas, Jana! Such fun!

Cheryl Gibbs

Maybe it's because we're in the middle of Winter but I'd love to paint anything water--the ocean, peaceful ponds, gurgling streams, meandering rivers, rain and rain puddles!

Angela

I’d like to paint a border collie!

Anne

+1 🙋🏻‍♀️

Anne

Tropical fish. Tropical birds. Coral. We’ve been binging Planet Earth this weekend and love the colors of these beautiful creatures 😍

Caroline Osbond

I have just painted your pebbles, and really enjoyed it. It’s got me motivated again, sometimes your head is spinning with all the tutorials as you don’t know which one to do, and this was great as a starting point! I would love something similar bu maybe using shells instead? 🐚

Louise

Birds. Especially raptors.

Jean

I third your suggestions Carole. I think those are great ideas.

Jean

Maybe some landscapes. I live on the coast but am a mountain girl at heart.

de Winton Paper co.

Hi Karima, we have a peacock in my new book but thank you for your suggestions

de Winton Paper co.

Ok, I think this might be fun to do as part of the Sweet Pea/Cherry Blossom bird tutorials

de Winton Paper co.

I'll put sweet peas on the list for when they are in season. We've got a nice pansy tutorial on youtube in the flowers and foliage list

de Winton Paper co.

Nice suggestion. We've got some lovely colourful fish in the illustration playlist on youtube

de Winton Paper co.

Ah that's sweet I might have to save that until winter again but there is a polar bear in my new book

de Winton Paper co.

we've got a few lilies in the flowers and foliage playlist but I'll make a note of these for when they are in season

de Winton Paper co.

Hi Angela, we've got lots of detailed dog tutorials in the sweet pea and cherry blossom watercolour challenges

Suzanne Bouquet

Hi harriet, i would love to paint young bunny rabbits or spring flowers, like snow drops or muscari botryoides ( we call them blue grapes in The Netherlands, i can't find an english translation ) maybe for March or April ;) and birds, i love birds.

Sarah Bradfield

Yes - painting brickwork, glass in windows, slate and tiled rooves would be great please

Anne

How about art nouveau/ art deco windows and doors?
