Just discovered your show recently and I’m so appreciative of your insights, recommendations, and wit. I’m also always thrilled anytime I run across other freaks who get Brakhage. Im almost disturbed by the uncanny parallels in our various misadventures and maladies. I suffer from migraines and depression and lately the occasional dental catastrophes. I was chewed up by the PhD gauntlet too. I’ve suffered, albeit only very proximately from the effects of opioids on my family. All to say, in my best Bill Clinton, I feel your pain. Yours is one of the few voices that has been and is right now a solace in some deep fuckin darkness. I wish I had more than 5 bucks and these cheap words for you. Thank you Michael. God speed you health and a karmic return on some of the comfort and camaraderie of mind and spirit you give all of us.
