GHOST STORIES intro theme is my WWE walk-on music but D/C intro theme is my MLB walk-on music

Mr judge I wonder if you’d ever bless us with a Manson series ever wonder what you think of the connections to cia and intelligence

You claimed to start out exhausted but ended strong..loved more Benjamin as the crux of your statement.

Closing out heavy episodes like these with that Gold & Youth song helps me cope with the grief much better than stewing in it like I used to after the brief outro that was used before

This starting with my favorite at the drive in song’s lyrics as I’m wearing an at the drive in shirt gave me brain itch

The discussion on how you feel you are vs. how you are makes me think of the state of the US economy. Great jobs reports every month but everything is too damn expensive and wages are too low.

Can someone talk about the question "why do humans make war?" It's a pedestrian question I know but I don't think we hear it questioned much. It keeps happening and it only gets worse and more brutal. Israel's brutality makes sense as part of the US 4th Reich death drive project. But I feel like there is a piece missing that we need to zoom out even further to talk about. Of course we are the enlightened liberals who have the privilege to not have to kill nor have death be a big element of our realities so we can only hope there is some "goodness" in humanity. But anyway any ideas folks?

Haven't been able to think about anything else either, so thanks for your coverage of Gaza. Stay strong bro.

He said he can't see any ending other than genocide but I'm already seeing a bleak one at my job. Same as the old one. Rat lines to Boeing, Pfizer, maybe a cozy neighborhood in Virginia. It'll end but we won't throw out the baby with the bathwater

Awed, as i frequently am, by your ability to narrate the complexities of history and thought. My sincere thanks to you.

I'm sure you've made people Big Mad Online on social media before but your Lou Reed posts (I've got no dog in that fight) were the first to arrive to me screenshotted by people I've known for more than 20 years. I have no interest in changing their minds - I gave up a mediocre career in sales years ago. Just thought it was a strange turn of events. Like if an ex-girlfriend rang me up and went in right away with "who the fuck is Adam Friedland and what's the Swifties' beef with him?"

On my way nails broke and fell into the wishing well… What timing, been listening to Relationship of Command all week, repeating that song in particular

With the caveat that I understand Michael is being descriptive not proscriptive, and no desire at all to shame or browbeat anyone who feels burnt-out and hopeless about political action in this country, I feel compelled to offer my own personal argument for participating. By political action I of course don't mean posting or voting, but protest, in-person outreach/education/discussion, fundraising for Palestinian orgs, and especially the braver souls among us shutting down highways and climbing onto the roof of Elbit. First, if there's even the tiniest chance that there exists an achievable level of public unrest which could coerce the monsters that run this country to change course, I feel compelled as a reichsburger to pursue it. Second, if I didn't have something that at least felt like action to do after staring into the screaming hellmouth our country opens in Gaza every day I don't know if I could keep from doing something I shouldn't type. And most importantly, while Dr. Refaat Alareer was still alive, he posted pictures and video from two different actions I attended and urged us to keep it up. Wael Dahdouh spoke by video link to another one and said much the same. However impotent or ineffectual marching in the U.S. may ultimately prove to be, if it brings even a moment's comfort to the heroes and martyrs of Gaza it's worth doing, to me at least.

sometimes a D/C episode is like a wind at the perfect speed and my reality is like the tacoma narrows bridge.

Ok how about your five favorite guitar sounds from those 4 eno albums?

Can anyone help me out with the lyrics to the song at the end of these podcasts? I’m having trouble with the verse after “how the west was won, with ________ and a bigger gun”

Is this what Animal Collective was trying to say with their song "FloriDada"?

The juicy cadence when you say "*dense* episode" had me feeling something that no other internet-bodied being has made me feel before. thanks..?

Hey Mike, just wanted to let you know that your work means a lot to me. Curious, are you familiar with the artist Billy Woods? His rap/poetry has an eerie amount of overlap with the topics you like to discuss. If you have, any chance that you might do an episode on one of his albums? Keep up the great work and take care!
