Silma's worked with baxxid long enough to get a feeling for when they're nervous. It's a body language thing.

Ryusui

i love these folks so much

kurogetsui

"It ain't much but it's honest work" moment.

Varyon

"Despised life-error" is a top-tier insult. And it's good to see a Baxxid taking proper pride in such service - I can understand not wanting to do it, but they ARE rather well-equipped for such a task.

John C Butler

Digging the Gaurd Master's fancy duds.

MysteryCryptid

"Despised life-errors" is an insult that fucks hard

valsalia

"Cheer-upper for giant boneworms"

valsalia

Yeahhh, their feelings regarding "giving in to their inherent strengths" is *complicated*

valsalia

Some prefer more complex uniforms, but he prefers to keep his kit light and flexible

valsalia

For a species where it's *incredibly* rare for one of them to get so out of line that they do harm to others, they've got some STRONG opinions about the humans who prey upon their own.

MysteryCryptid

Some premium world building there, I like it

Aulderbane

They're going to go out drinking! ...or whatever they do for the newly initiated! XD

Shodow

So many interesting things on the various designs! The symbol on Silma's uniform as an elegant way to designate those assigned to work as baxxids' "hands" as well as the guardmaster's scars and outfit that produces an auto of great respect. Always great to also get to see more body language and the unique speech from those lovely bone-worms.

Golnor

The Guardmaster has seen some combat, by the look of things.

Jay The Red

I always enjoy when Kalgkur and the other baxxid get the spotlight for a while. I hope we'll get to see what baxxid - yinglet relations are like, especially with just how different the two species are

valsalia

High-quality world construction supplies!

valsalia

Drinking! (A reasonable amount of water)

valsalia

More on that handprint soon!

valsalia

I get the feeling you're gonna like this chapter.

Atamis

I really want to touch one of the baxxid, it would be weird for us both but dangit i want to pet them

valsalia

Not really! A lot of 'em have a thing for *hands*

CompletelyNewguy

All I can imagine for a average baxxid giving a strong “worded” response instead of actually using force. While encouraging others to do the same.

Finvaara

That poor boy doesn't want to be a guard! Get him a maid outfit and a tea tray to carry.

Finvaara

You just put little loops on the underside of the tray to make it easier to hold.

Vicroc4

Given the way they communicate with each other, a "strongly-worded response" may well incapacitate a human on its own.
