Spy Game with Redford and Brad Pitt. Great film

Backlog Andy M.

My top 3. Would be Three Days Of The Condor. The Natural. Then Brubaker.

mikethemotormouth

Ordinary People. His first directing credit got 4 Oscars including Best Picture. Sounds like a winner to me.

Charles Gaba

Captain America: The Winter Soldier was done very much in the style of Three Days of the Condor, FWIW.

Backlog Andy M.

First saw that in 1985 with my mum and dad on the old Betamax. Loved it!

Jeffrey Miller

I know it won't win, but Quiz Show is so good.

thansen

My favorite film he directed is Quiz Show, one of the best films of the 90s. My favorite movie he starred in is Three Days of the Condor. But I haven't seen a few of these, like The Way We Were, Waldo Pepper, The Candidate, Gatsby. I wouldn't mind seeing a reaction to Barefoot in the Park. It's not his best but it's a fun romantic comedy.

Athos Count de la Fère

Natural/Condor/Brubaker. I'm not a big fan of Redford's character w,/female relationship in Condor. It hasn't aged well.

TGrimace

Brubaker will never win. It's too obscure of a movie, but I highly recommend it anyway. It has a very 'Cool Hand Luke' feeling. It's an amazing film. Morgan Freeman's first film! And apparently Nic Cage is in it as an extra.

CherryPi

"Legal Eagles" is clearly missing here! You'd love it! From the poll I chose "Out of Africa" because it's an absolute classic and Meryl Streep is also magnificent in it. Runner-ups are "Jeremiah Johnson" and "Brubaker". Of his earlier works I also really like "This Property is Condemned" with the beautiful Natalie Wood. I haven't watched his directorial debut "Ordinary People", but I will soon :)

Backlog Andy M.

Yep i hear you. But apart from that I still love it.

Stephanie

The Horse Whisperer?

Chris Bruneau

Dan & Sam: This is a great tribute to one of the greatest actors in the history of Hollywood, so thanks!!! my personal choices are the Natural and Spygame (directed by the late, great Tony Scott)

Tinker

I really hope Out of Africa wins. It's a true story and the visuals are just spectacular, even the ones outside of Robert Redford. Jeremiah Johnson is my favorite but I think you two would really love Out of Africa

Chris Bruneau

Ralph Fiennes is soooo good in that film!

Chris

Old Man And The Gun is underrated

YoureMrLebowski

Three Days of the Condor vs The Natural. Tough call. Good luck everyone.

Florian Meier

I Hoped for this Poll Guys ;) Great !!!! Thank you Guys ...All top Films but for me it is Three Days of the Condor followed by The Natural ... :) Very cool to see which become the most Votes :)

John Dewey

I voted for Condor. It's hugely underrated + it fits well with Alan J. Pakula's, 'Paranoia Trilogy,' of All The President's Men, Klute & The Parallax View.

Shehab Dawoud

Indecent Proposal will never get a reaction from anyone😕

Birdie Num Num

Three Days just won the redford poll on PIB, looks on track to do the same here. So much for recency bias. But looks like not many have seen The Hot Rock, it is far from deserving last place.

Dave Sees Movies

I know I'm in the minority, but "The Natural" is bad. Lousy pacing, cartoon villains, stiff Redford. At least it looks good

Lamar Savage

Though I DID pick one.... in all honesty the isn't any Redford film that I wouldn't watch over and over again!

Donna Castellano

Last Castle is great. It also has James Ganfolfini in it.

David Wilkins

There are a few that I consider must-see, but they’ll never win a poll, and will have to win a drawing. And that’s already reflected above.

Paul Cox

The Hot Rock is pretty hard to find without some effort. I'd imagine a lot of people have never seen it.

Lana Gorgeous

The Chase (1966), with an all star cast including Robert Redford, Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Jane Fonda, Angie Dickinson, EG Marshall, etc., great film.

Tyler Foster

Wasn't expecting it to do well but more people gotta see The Hot Rock.

Tyler Foster

Everyone's invited to my place. We can watch my Blu-ray.

Birdie Num Num

I saw it at the New Bev a few years ago(the print had the British title -How to Steal a Diamond in Four Uneasy Lessons) It played very well, the crowd was super into it. It may not be the best film on this list, but I think it might generate the best reaction(it just feels like a Sam and Daniel type of film)

Sarah Jane

Just making sure you know, he directed Ordinary People -- he wasn't in it. (That may be the case for several of these, I don't know many of them.) Even so, you ought to watch it! But first, The Natural, and Three Days of the Condor.

TBR Schmitt

Yes! Thank you, Sarah! I think there’s a couple that he directed on here 😊 -Sam

Browniewin

"The Way We Were" is very much worth watching. "Ordinary People" is excellent so is "Quiz Show" but he is not in those, he directed. "The Hot Rock" is fun. Some of my favorite movies of his are not on this list so maybe you already saw, "Sneakers", "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", "The Sting", "All the Presidents Men".

Paul Cox

All four of those already have reactions. Search their yt channel.

Gary Giaimo

BRUBAKER! Why this movie gets no love on these Robert Redford poles, I'll never understand. Such a good movie!

Indy Traveler

Almost every one of those movies could not disappoint. It is hard to pick just one.

Catherine LW

Jeremiah Johnson is my favorite Redford film. Quiz Show is his best directorial work. Sigh. Neither will win.
