Chef's kiss, this episode. And I too would go with the chocolate pancakes. Minami-kun is a proper male protagonist. That's some balls. I also wish for a Season 2, but I leave satisfied. Great development, good conclusion, nice "but there's the aftermath" cut point, and whether we get more or not, it leaves it to our imaginations... and our desire to read the source material. Which I will do this weekend. Like those pancakes, nice comfort food, this series. With some bitter chocolate to balance the fluffy sweetness. Now, all this talk about pancakes, made me hungry, so I'm gonna cook some. With bacon. I eat mine with bacon.

This was really good. It had some very stupid moments, but well, they were able to connect the stupidity and the drama and romance pretty well. Wouldn't say its a perfect show, but it is very entertaining. Would like a season two

I was hovering on a 9 on MAL for this season, but JFC, that dream sequence was fucking -perfect-. The color that we've seen related to her positive emotions (Thank you, Lidenfilms, the studio that brought us Call of the Night) fading throughout the scene to simple white lines on black, then to just her tears. The detail they put into her dress when she burst through it, the stretched out weave and threads under tension look exactly like it should. The love for this work by the studio, director and animators shows, and it's easily one of my top five this season. 10/10 WHAT A RIDE.
