Somewhere Else in the System Event

Diana Reltfel, the Seventh Princess of Reltfel, hums a calming little song while borrowing the fish inside of another hunter’s ship. After kicking the hunter in question out of the Official System Event, of course.

She hasn’t had this much fun in a while. Which is exactly why she likes Competitive Lifestyle Official System Events.

Of course, she never actually does the lifestyle aspects of these events. All she does is borrow the results of the other hunters in the event.

Diana smiles as she gradually makes her way through the Toxic Ocean before eventually seeing the edge of the Shock Ocean, where she notices a flood of lightning and ice. With lightning falling down from numerous dark clouds in a blizzard-filled region full of snow on the water and lots of ice.

“Hmm,” Diana hums to herself without taking her gaze away from the massive storm of ice and lightning for several seconds. Then she nods her head and mutters, “Right. So now I know where I’m not going.”

And, without any hesitation, Diana quickly turns around and begins heading in the opposite direction from the Shock Ocean. Making absolutely certain not to get on Ashley’s radar.

Because the best plan of action for a smart princess is not to bother the stronger hunters.

Especially ones that could turn her into an ice cube.

Diana continues humming while heading far away from the Shock Ocean.

Somewhere in the Thunder Mountain Royal Palace

Argos grins as he watches the livestream of the very System Event that Ashley defeated him in. Feeling genuinely proud of her at the sight of Ashley slaughtering all of the fish and other users she runs into.

After all, there’s no one else in the Official System Event that could compare to Argos except maybe Azaryth. But even Azaryth wouldn’t likely be able to defeat Ashley. Especially not now that Ashley has obtained the Thunder Mountain Royal Family’s Skill Tree.

“Argos, you know what you need to do,” Argos hears his father state through their mental connection.

“Of course,” Argos says with a grin. “I would do it even if you didn’t ask.”

“Very well,” the Ruler of Thunder Mountain says, his voice fading away.

Argos continues to watch the livestream of the event as Ashley kills fish one after another. Not to mention hunts other users and takes their fish in the middle of it.

Bringing her score higher and higher in the process as time gradually begins to pass. But no matter how much time passes, none of the other hunters in the event manage to pass Ashley.

Once the event is over, I should initiate contact with her.

His father and the royal family in general has a rule that everyone who manages to defeat a royal from Thunder Mountain receives VIP treatment when they’re in the territories of Thunder Mountain. Simply because Thunder Mountain is a very combat-oriented nation.

So he needs to tell her about it and transfer her the Royal Sigel to grant her those rights.

But, more importantly to Argos, he just wishes to be friends with her. Because he always loves having a new sparring partner.

And even if she doesn’t ever wish to spar with him, having powerful friends is always a benefit.

Argos is a collector of powerful friends and sparring partners.

The fact that his father has already reached out to him about contacting Ashley means that they’ve already received permission from Chaos to reach out to her. Taking out the risk that a lot of royals feel when reaching out to the Princess of Chaos.

The risk that reaching out to her might offend Chaos, and therefore spell the end for their nation.

So Argos already begins to make plans for after the Official System Event. But until then, he keeps his eye on the livestream. Just hoping to see Ashley face off against the Class B monster.

Of course, even he doubts that she could beat the monster. She might be able to do it if she was at the end of Class C, but not at her current level.

It’s simply impossible.

The gap between Class C and Class B is too great for someone at the lower end of Class C to beat a Class B.

For most people, it’s nearly impossible for a max level Class C user to defeat a Class B, much less a lower level Class C.

Which is exactly why Argos wants to see if Ashley can do so. Or if she will finally meet her match.

Even her just fighting well against it before retreating would be exciting to see.

Argos continues to grin as he watches the livestream without taking his gaze from it for even a moment.
