Alexia
I find myself blankly staring ahead in both confusion and shock for more than a few seconds before System Messages snap me out of it.
For passing the seventh of the tests, your core will expand. Furthermore, you have gained Quantum Resistance to the quantum energy of the Quantum Builder. With every test passed after this point, your core will continue to grow stronger, and you will learn how to fight with each of the Quantum Beings.
For your role must be the strongest. You must be the reaper of all. And yet, the savior of all as well.
There are three tests remaining.
Continue to clear these trials, for it is necessary for the universe.
I narrow my eyes slightly at the notification. Because the last two lines I’m pretty sure are new lines that weren’t in the previous versions of this notification.
Not that it really matters. The new lines don’t really say much.
I go ahead and undo and redo my True Form transformation just to see if there’s anything new on the notification for the transformation. But I don’t find anything new at all. Just the addition of the Quantum Builder to the list of Quantum Beings I have resistances towards.
So, after thinking about what just happened in the trial for a few more minutes, I eventually just shake my head and move onto the Quantum Creator’s trial. Entering the Quantum Creator’s mausoleum before beginning the trial, where I find myself appearing inside of one of the galaxies created by the Quantum Builder.
It doesn’t take long to find the Quantum Creator just floating in space with his legs crossed.
Unlike the other Quantum Beings, the Quantum Creator has no hair on his head at all, and he is dressed like a monk. With a monk’s robe and everything. Meanwhile he has a glowing pale bluish purple star on his forehead, along with the usual glitching purple eyes beneath the star. And his entire body is glitching back and forth, all over the place as he sits still with his hands held together in his lap.
Almost like he’s meditating.
I sit back and watch him do his thing. And what a wondrous sight it is to behold. Life appearing out of nothing, just glitching into place at first as chunks of glitchy material. Only for said material to gradually glitch into the forms they’re meant to take. With them glitching less and less the closer they get to their correct form.
Their color also changes the more they glitch. Transforming into natural colors one would see in the living things they’re forming.
Whether they’re plants on the planets around us, animals, or even insects or aquatic life. All the way down to the microscopic bacteria.
Every living creature is being created by him.
And the Quantum Creator doesn’t bat an eye during the process, or so much as move from his place.
He just continues staying in his meditation pose as life is created all around him. Even when he finishes making life in this galaxy, he just teleports over to another galaxy and continues doing it there. All without moving a muscle.
Eventually the first part of the trial comes to a close, bringing me to the second part of the trial.
Which is an interesting sight in and of itself. Because the Quantum Creator still isn’t moving, even during a fight.
He just sits in place while creating creatures to fight off the corruption for him. Overwhelming the corrupted creatures through sheer numbers.
It’s a rather intense sight to behold. And the sight stretches on for quite a while before the Quantum Creator finally finishes off the Corruptor. Then I’m sent to the third part of the trial.
Another version of the empty galaxy from the first part of the trial, with the Quantum Creator just staring directly at me.
Silence fills the galaxy for a few seconds before the Quantum Creator asks, “Why do you seek battle?”
I stare for a moment, then I decide to just do what the Quantum Creator suggested I do and answer him honestly.
“This is a trial, and you are a copy of your past self,” I answer with a shrug. “I need to clear this trial to gain my full power and be able to face the Corrupted One who is threatening the entire universe.”
The Quantum Creator’s eyes flare for a second, only for him to nod his head slowly. Then he says, “Bring out your weapon.”
So I do just that, summoning my scythe into my hand.
And, just like with the Quantum Builder, the Quantum Creator appears in front of me and stabs himself with my scythe. Shocking me in the process.
Wait, that’s it? He just believed me immediately and offed himself?
Seriously?
I gape at him as he states, “Have safe travels, and I wish you well towards your goal, child.”
It doesn’t take long before his body begins to break apart as well, just like the Quantum Builder before him. Then I’m sent back to the mausoleum with another notification in my vision.
For passing the eighth of the tests, your core will expand. Furthermore, you have gained Quantum Resistance to the quantum energy of the Quantum Creator. With every test passed after this point, your core will continue to grow stronger, and you will learn how to fight with each of the Quantum Beings.
For your role must be the strongest. You must be the reaper of all. And yet, the savior of all as well.
There are two tests remaining.
Continue to clear these trials, for it is necessary for the universe.
I stare blankly for several seconds as I wonder just what’s going on here.
Are these two Quantum Beings just incredibly kind and trusting? But how did they survive this long if they’re this trusting?
Especially the Quantum Creator, who believed me after just a single brief answer without even fighting first.
At least the Builder asked multiple questions and received multiple answers after we fought for some time. But the Creator just asked one question and then offed himself.
Maybe I can ask Zal about it.
Yeah, he might know.
With that thought in mind, I leave the trial tower for a moment to go find Zal.
I can come back later to finish the last two trials. Especially since the first two took such little time in comparison to the average trial.
