On the Planet of Val
Blake clenches his fist at his side as he watches the live footage of his twin sister suffering in the Unique Domain. It’s the second time she’s been forced into a Unique Domain, but this time he isn’t able to help her at all. And it’s infuriating.
The other Spire Lords and Ladies within the Planetary Council show similar yet different cases of worry.
Many of them are more worried about their planet than Ashley herself.
Up until now, the several planets looking to start wars with theirs have been held at bay out of fear towards Ashley. But things changed after she entered the Unique Domain. And now she is being seen all across the universe struggling within the Unique Domain all on her own.
To make matters worse, it is a void element Unique Monster. Which is one of the most terrifying opponents imaginable.
It is so bad that billions of Class Es around the universe were knocked unconscious just from seeing the live footage of the Unique Monster. Even if those above Class E.
They didn’t suffer any actual damage, but their minds couldn’t tolerate looking directly at the Unique Monster and its black fog.
And thanks to that, confidence in Ashley’s survival significantly dropped throughout the universe. Even if more places are still confident she will win than aren’t.
So, on top of the Spire Lords and Ladies of Val having to worry about the potential breaking of the Unique Domain and release of that Unique Monster onto their planet, they have another huge worry to deal with. One in the form of the notification that just went out to everyone on the planet within an hour before the meeting began.
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
The planets of Augol, Revan, Tricerala, Lunarian, Virtreage, Parant, and Yulliger have all declared war on the planet of Val!
Due to the number of planets involved in the war, this grand war shall be fought initially through Official System War Events tailor made by the System.
Any user on any of these planets may participate in these Official System War Events so long as they are not currently participating in any other System Event at the time.
The first Official System War Event will take place one day from now, and the winners of these Official System War Events will obtain War Points.
The final winner of the Grand War will be determined by whichever planet or planets have the most War Points.
An emergency greater than any Val has faced since the initialization of the System itself. Potentially even greater than that.
Seven different planets declaring war on Val at once. All while Ashley, their greatest power by far, is unable to participate in the war for the foreseeable future.
What’s more is that they can’t even rely on Chaos or any other Primordials to assist them. Because the Primordials have all signed a pact to forbid each other from directly involving themselves in mortal wars. Regardless of the status of their Successors.
At most, they are allowed to retrieve their Successor or Successors from the warring planets should they wish. Taking them out of the war at any point in time during it or before it.
So the Spire Lords and Ladies who aren’t Successors know that the Primordials behind the Successors in this meeting will merely take their Successors off of the planet should they lose the war. Unlike them, who will be forced into servitude or even death by the hands of the winner of the war.
And outsiders on the planet are not allowed to participate in the war either. Making this an incredible emergency.
“Everyone, gather together your research on Official System War Events,” Cedric Arran, the Successor of Order on Val, declares. His voice echoing out through the Council Meeting chamber. “Here is what we’ve gathered thus far from The Order.” Cedric presses several buttons on his terminal, pulling up a hologram at the center of the chamber in front of him with numerous details written on it. “Official System War Events are different from regular Official System Events. Unlike regular events, War Events are built to have tens or even hundreds of thousands of users participating in each event at a minimum. They are grand in scale and are always either combat or strategic oriented. With users directly waging war within the space of the event. And in situations like ours, with numerous planets declaring war at one time, the different planets declaring war may establish temporary or permanent alliances with each other. If they establish temporary alliances, their alliance will break once the agreement runs its course. But if they establish permanent alliances during the war, they will split the rewards and the losing planets should they be victorious.”
Soon after he finishes, the Black Enforcer begins to speak, “There don’t appear to be any restrictions on Successors participating, and after doing some research, these seven planets each have Successors on them. Amongst the Successors, there are nearly three dozen Successors of Sin, five Successors of Magic, and one recently chosen Successor of Void. All of these will be our opponents, but make note that the majority of the Successors of Sin are newly selected and likely haven’t grown into their roles and adjusted yet.”
Then numerous other groups begin to speak one after another. Each stating their own research findings. All the way until the meeting shifts to determining the exact layout of their forces within the Official System War Events.
But not a single person says a word about when Ashley will leave the Unique Domain.
They’re all too scared to, Blake included.
Even if it’s some ridiculous superstition about mentioning any plans for her to come out making it so she won’t ever leave the Unique Domain. No one says a word.
Blake turns his gaze onto the screen as his eyes tremble with emotion.
Please be okay.
Ashley
What the what?
I feel more than a little confused as I continue killing these painful monsters in the temple, only to find an unexpected notification appearing in my vision. One speaking about how seven different planets just declared war on Val.
All while I’m still stuck inside of a Unique Domain.
Then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s why they’re declaring war now. After all, even if I make it out of the Unique Domain alive, if they win the war before I leave, Val will belong to them, and I’ll probably just be taken to the Tower of Chaos by Chaos who likely doesn’t care about Val in the slightest.
Even those who assume I will clear this Unique Domain likely believe that it will take too long to clear, and that the war will be over by then.
And, of course, there are those who likely believe I’ll die to the Unique Monster.
Anyway, these Official System War Events look rather interesting after I do some research on them through the System Forums. Which I can still look at even if I can’t make posts on it while in a Unique Domain.
And I’m not just interested because it would be a bonafide feast of new Skill Trees if I were fighting against tens or hundreds of thousands of users at once.
Totally not that.
Putting aside the events for now, though, I’m worried about Blake. He’s pretty strong, but I get the feeling the enemy might focus in on attacking our side’s Successors. Strictly because most of us are the strongest on the planet.
The biggest threats.
From what I’ve looked up, users can participate in as many Official System War Events as they please, and they do count towards their quota of Official System Events for the month. However, they can only revive in three different events. After finishing their third Official System War Event, if they die in another event, they die permanently.
If looked at from a different angle, though, this war could theoretically be a boon. Assuming Val wins.
After all, that would mean Val would subjugate seven different planets. Which would be a massive boost to Val’s strength and economy.
Although it would probably be pretty chaotic too.
My thoughts are interrupted when another surge of red hot pain flashes through my mind, forcing me to return my full attention to the monsters in the temple around me.
I really hate this place.
