Time begins to fly by at a rapid pace as I begin my training. But I don’t take almost any breaks in-between, because I need to get strong enough as fast as possible. And I can take breaks after I’ve reached the point where I feel satisfied I’m strong enough to face the Corrupted One.

Of course, this worries my family, but I feel I have to do it to protect them. So I keep going. Albeit with just a brief pause every now and then to see my niece and nephew, including when they are born, and generally once a month after that. Also to spend a little time with Luna, who is hunting alongside me.

I fight and fight and fight while also getting lessons from the Quantum Ruler in Energy Manipulation. Constantly tearing away at the corrupted creatures by the millions. Even by the billions sometimes, when I enter fully corrupted galaxies.

Thanks to this, several things happen during this time.

For one, the few times I pass by other users of the System during this time, I begin to notice a rather large change in how they view me.

If they used to fear me, with many of them disliking me, now I see nothing but respect in their eyes. With quite a few of them looking at me with some sort of worship. As if I’m their guardian deity.

And, unfortunately for me, what I feared back at the start of this has come to pass.

At first it starts out as just a rumor I hear from the other users fighting on the frontlines, but then I hear it confirmed by Astrid. That an entire church has been set up to worship me.

It seems that a lot of the users who were afraid of the corruption’s attack on the Dimensional Grid have taken to referring to me as their savior goddess. As the Goddess of Death.

Which is more than a little unnerving.

What’s worse is that this little religion of theirs is spreading fast. To the point that dozens of Dimensional Blocks are building their own churches, albeit smaller ones. And my family isn’t doing anything about it. They’re just sitting back and laughing.

How utterly absurd.

Even Zal is laughing.

It is nice not having to be feared everywhere I go anymore, but that doesn’t mean I want to see those looks of worship in their eyes either. That’s just as bad if not worse than being feared.

The only bright side is that none of them approach me. They treat me like a goddess to be worshiped at a distance. Not up close.

So there’s that, at least.

Eventually I decide to just ignore them and focus on leveling up and slaughtering the corrupted creatures.

Ever so gradually, over the years, I level myself up. But despite the sheer number of corrupted creatures I slaughter, not to mention my Legendary Feats giving me additional EXP for the corrupted creature kills, they still level me up far less than killing Quantum Beings did.

Still. That doesn’t matter too much either, since the main focus of this hunt is to level up my skills.

Leveling up myself is a secondary, albeit still important, goal.

Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to level up the skills for the first Tiers. From Tiers 1 through Tier 3.

It’s only after it hits Tier 3 that it gets harder to level them up.

I also have to go stop by dungeons every now and then to collect the materials needed to raise the Tier of the skills. Which wastes a little bit of time, but not much. Just an hour at most to find a dungeon, since I can clear the dungeon in seconds.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if I could clear Tier 5 dungeons in seconds now.

I’m far past the basic level for Ascendant Tiers, after all. And I’m already significantly stronger than the regular person at the same level as me as is.

So, by the time one year passes, I manage to bring six of the eight new skills to Tier 3. By the time two years pass I bring them all to Tier 3. And by the time three years pass, I bring them all at least halfway to Tier 4.

Two more years pass just like that, and I manage to bring all eight of the new skills to about a quarter of the way through Tier 4 to Tier 5.

I also manage to bring up Quantum Reversal and my other time-related healing skills to Tier 4 while I’m at it. Since they were already at higher Tiers to start with at the beginning of this training.

And I bring Universal Judgment up to Tier 3 too.

After five more years, I get all eight of the new skills up halfway through Tier 5. But since signs are beginning to show of the Corrupted One’s recovery, the System soon begins to give me quests with Universal Skill Tier Advancement Tokens as rewards.

No doubt to rush my skill training and get these skills up to Ascendant Tiers in a rather forceful manner.

Which is ironic considering how much of a cheapskate it was when I killed the Quantum Enforcer.

Still. That doesn’t matter right now.

What matters is finishing this job before the Corrupted One returns.
