The next chapter is the epilogue of Reaper's Resurgence. It is also the last chapter in the series.

A faint smile spreads across my face at the words shown to me. Whether it’s the massive jump in levels, the new Racial Skill that is utterly overpowered, or the System’s message.

All of it is very satisfying after this long and troublesome battle.

Very satisfying indeed.

I glance down as Luna flies down and lands in my lap in her very small bat form. Then she curls up and begins taking a nap.

My smile grows even wider at the sight before I myself close my eyes and fall asleep. Deciding to rest now and deal with any aftermath later.

Of course, I do set up several defenses that will wake me up if any danger appears. Like Corruptors or anything like that.

Anyway, it doesn’t take long for me to fall asleep, with me waking up again over an entire day later.

Which is probably the longest I’ve ever slept in one sitting before.

Nothing attacked while I was asleep either. So I just pick up Luna, who is still asleep, before carrying her with me in search of the universe.

Because I have absolutely no idea where I am.

How did the Corrupted One even bring us here anyway?

I frown at that thought as I continue searching for the universe. But it ends up taking me a few more days to finally find it. All thanks to sensing the faintest hint of the System’s power and tracking it to one of the cracks in the universe that isn’t repaired yet.

Hmm. I wonder what would’ve happened if the System had already finished repairing all of the cracks in the universe?

That would’ve been awkward.

Would I have been stuck knocking on the universe’s edge? Or would I even have been able to find it?

That’s a question for the ages.

Anyway, when I enter the universe, I immediately sense the System at work cleaning everything up. All over the entire universe, every bit of corruption is gradually being cleaned up. Meanwhile the spread of corruption has slowed to even slower than a crawl.

It’s so slow that it would take years just to corrupt a single planet now, much less a galaxy.

That means the source really is gone now.

Maybe the Quantum Beings should have someone patrolling the outside of the universe just to make sure nothing like this happens again. Since this all happened thanks to a new core of a Universe’s Will that tried to form and failed, leaving it cracked and corrupted.

Which means that something like that can easily happen again. And that’s not good.

Still. I’ve grown a hell of a lot stronger now.

I should at least be able to handle a similar threat with a lot more ease now.

Especially with my new skill. Universal Reaping.

It’s honestly kind of terrifying, but this skill is so powerful I can probably kill anyone in the entire universe with just a single activation of the skill. Except maybe the other Quantum Beings.

Still. Even they aren’t anywhere near strong enough to beat me anymore.

Not now that I’ve leveled up this much, brought so many skills to Ascendant Tier, and have an immunity to their quantum energies.

I don’t really have any threats left in this universe.

That thought brings a smile to my face. Because it means I’ve achieved my goal.

To become the strongest.

All to protect my peace, along with the peace of my family.

I teleport through the universe before eventually arriving at Astrid’s house, where I find Astrid, Mom, Dad, and even Gramps all rushing out at once to dogpile me with a bunch of hugs. But I just let them. I even let myself fall to the ground as they all grow rather emotional, with at least half of them crying about how worried they were.

Right.

This is the life I’ve always wanted.

Luna transforms into her humanoid form again while in the middle of us and looks incredibly confused, only to join in the group hug with a short giggle.

My smile grows wider.

It’s perfect.
