NathanYear 2853 | Month 6 | Day 22

Well this is unexpected. Running into all three of the Alliance’s most powerful magicians.

The Mage of Storms of the Melcians, Drake Veldrebore.

The Spirit Ruler of the Empire of Maltar, Cecilia Rose Falthorn.

And the Lord of Twilight of the Voltanian Republic, Twilight.

Two Class SS magicians and one pseudo Class SS magician. Three magicians who are strong enough to directly affect the reality around their homes.

The thunderstorms in the Melcians.

The strange dream realms in the Empire.

And the eternal twilight in the Republic.

I can feel an immense amount of mana in the three of them. Albeit mostly in the Spirit Ruler and Lord of Twilight. But the Mage of Storms is just as dangerous as them since he is a wind affinity magician since he specializes in lightning. Which is one of the most powerful types of magic in terms of sheer damage output.

All three of these magicians can easily level a nation in different ways. And they’re all looking at me as if they’re looking at some strange creature.

Is it because of my immortality, or because of my lack of reaction?

Not a lot can really give me much surprise nowadays. One massive threat after another kind of becomes numbing when all of said threats don’t do anything to me.

Although the Spirit Ruler could be interesting to further test my immortality, since I don’t often find magicians with mind magic. It is one of the rarest types of magic, after all.

Magic that targets the mind.

And the Spirit Ruler has a special magic amongst that type at that. Since spirit magic can target more than just the mind. It can target one’s spirit. Which influences a magician’s talent.

I’ve even heard some rumors that the Spirit Ruler’s magic is capable of altering a magician’s talent. Increasing it or even decreasing it.

There’s one story about her altering some genius’ talent from the Republic from a level five talent down to just level two. Which is even lower than my talent of level three.

The idea that she could alter a magician’s talent and cripple their growth is pretty terrifying.

For other magicians, that is.

She probably can’t alter my talent. And even if she does alter my talent, it won’t really matter much.

At worst it would mean that I’d be a lot slower at splitting my mana arcs, and it would take longer for me to expand my pool of mana.

That’s all.

I’ll be living forever anyway, so an extra wait doesn’t change anything for me.

Of course, the Spirit Ruler can also just straight up kill a magician by crushing their spirit entirely. But if she were to do that to a magician of another nation of the Alliance, the Empire would be condemned by both the Melcians and the Republic. So the worst she will do is cripple their talent.

“Would you care for a tour of my tower, Undying Magician?” Drake asks while briefly glancing at the other two magicians.

After a brief pause, I glance at the other two magicians before focusing on Drake again and saying, “Very well.” I give the two Class SS magicians a nod of my head. “It was a pleasure to meet you, Spirit Ruler and Lord of Twilight. Let us meet again during the auction.”

With that, I send a message to the delegates that came with me from the Eternal Continents about my departure with the Mage of Storms. Then I use space mana to float into the air and follow the man who is flying through wind magic.

“Your rapid mastery of space magic is impressive,” the Mage of Storms states as we move, the man ignoring the obvious look the two Class SS magicians are giving him. “If my information is accurate, you only became able to use space mana a year and a half ago? And you’ve already reached the point of casting a Tier X spell using it.”

“I spent a long time under the effects of space mana while I was experimented on by that doctor,” I answer indifferently about the matter, having long since gotten over that time period by now. Largely thanks to the doctor’s death at my own hands. “It made it relatively easy to adjust to using space mana.”

It’s kind of ironic, though.

One of the best ways to adjust to an affinity and understand it better is to be directly attacked or affected by it. Like being burned by fire to understand fire better. Or be turned into an undead to understand death better.

If it weren’t for these little shortcuts, I wouldn’t have been able to advance so quickly with my average talent in magic.

I’m sure I’ll be able to advance relatively quickly when it comes to time magic too. Simply because of the time mana affecting my body.

Although I don’t think the effect will be quite as big. The time mana on my body is a special type that is merged with space mana, after all. So it’s a bit different from regular time mana.

Still. Time mana is time mana.

I don’t mention these things to the Mage of Storms, though, since there’s no reason to.

“Intriguing…” the Mage of Storms mutters before rubbing his stubble and looking like he’s lost in thought. Clearly thinking about possibly applying my words to his own self.

It’s not my fault if the Mage of Storms accidentally hurts himself by trying this.

Nope.

Not at all.

Also, wasn’t he supposed to be acting as my tour guide? How did he already get distracted within seconds of leaving to give me a tour of the place?

Fortunately, he catches himself and refocuses on me soon enough. At which point he begins to give me a genuine tour of his tour the moment we arrive.

Come to think of it, I haven’t been in any Magic Towers aside from my own and Crimson’s.

I wonder if his is all that different?
